The Willows Care Centre is located in Great Linford which is a village with the Grand Union Canal running through its centre just a few miles from central Milton Keynes.

Set in spacious, peaceful grounds the home has en-suite rooms and extensive communal areas and provides the highest standards of care and accommodation for people with residential, dementia, nursing or palliative care needs.

The Willows makes the most of the diverse local amenities. A short walk from the home there is a local centre which has shopping opportunities, eateries and a coffee shop. Two public houses offering food and refreshments are also within walking distance. The local duck pond is only a stone’s throw away form the home and provides a tranquil setting to watch the local wild life.

The Willows has lounge and dining areas with kitchenettes on each floor where meals are provided by a chef and their team who can cater for all specialist diets.

In addition, there are numerous quiet areas around the home, a conservatory and a hairdressing salon. There is also a large enclosed garden which is accessible to wheelchair users.

Reminiscence is key to wellbeing and The Willows has three reminiscence shops within the grounds to take the people living there on a trip down memory lane. The dynamic and engaging activities team provide wide and varied opportunities for social engagement tailored to the choices of the individual.

Due to the peaceful setting of the home it is difficult to imagine it is so close to the centre of a busy city. There is good public transport links to the home with a bus stop just outside the main gates.

My mum suffers from dementia and The Willows have a floor dedicated to this awful disease. The team are wonderful with the residents and families, supportive, helpful and caring. Lots of laughter. They have a very demanding and difficult job, but still manage to be kind and patient.
My mum recently
had a birthday and they made her day so special. Thank you all for your hard work, it is very much appreciated

My mother was admitted from hospital on Monday 21st November. It was her birthday (98 years) the next day. When I went in they had put balloons at her door and there was a card in the afternoon although my mother was not aware of what was going on. They brought in a birthday cake and sang Happy Birthday.
Sadly she died early on 23rd November. All the staff were so caring and thoughtful to my mother and me and my family. I was so pleased that she died in such lovely surroundings.
My thanks to all the staff.

Making a decision to choose a care home for a relative is hard but was made easier when The Willows was approached and we were shown the premises and were pleasantly surprised with the lovely, clean, safe environment. Dad has been a resident for several months and is happy, enjoys the food and finds
the staff friendly and hard working. He has deteriorated over the past few months causing us worry but the staff are in regular contact with updates and they have addressed and acted on concerns/issues that have been raised by the family. They also support dad by working with local health professionals to obtain the best for him. When visiting, I've seen he is treated with care and respect, even at his most difficult and demanding times. Since his arrival, dad and the family have been well supported by all members of staff. Thank you.

I was transferred from hospital to The Willows Care Centre after breaking my right leg in four places due to a very bad fall. The care I received was excellent, I had paralysis in my left arm and leg so I had to be hoisted out of bed daily. The nurses were wonderful and so warm and caring, and management
staff.

To know mum is safe, warm, with constant company and an outstanding team of staff. From domestic housekeeping, chefs, nurses, carers and management team - every day there is something to be enjoyed when visiting mum. She has improved in her general outlook of being a resident now, we feel blessed knowing
she is totally safe and cared for in the very highest manner. Thank you.

My mother has been in The willows for respite care 2006-2015, then for full-time care (private) from September 2015 - February 2017. I have always found the staff very friendly and helpful. Mum is now on the dementia ward. She also has eyesight, hearing, incontinence and mobility problems. The staff
do a great job in difficult circumstances and treat all residents with care and respect. I do not think she would have better care in any of the other local homes.

Sahr Moseray

Job Title: Home Manager

Joined: 2022

Sahr join The Willows Care Home in October 2022 as a Home Manager. He has worked in the care sector for over 18 years and held various roles from carer to Home Manager; he brings with him a wealth of knowledge of caring for older people.


Sahr is passionate about delivering a high standard of person-centred care and transformational leadership. Sahr has completed Level 7 Diploma in Health and Social Care Management, Level 4 NVQ in Leadership and Management for Care Services and Level 3 NVQ in Health and Social Care.


Sahr’s primary responsibilities include managing day to day smooth running of the home. Supervising and motivating team members to deliver high-quality services and ensuring the needs and aspirations of people who use the services are being met.


Justyna

Justyna Blajerska

Job Title: Operations Support Manager

Justyna joined Excelcare in October 2022 in the role of Residential Manager.


She is responsible for leading and managing the residential unit and Lavender lodge on all aspects of day-to-day business deliverables, including performance monitoring in relation to quality and best outcome for people who live in the home.
