The team take pride in the Willow Brook dementia suite, where the dedicated Dementia Lead and team provide specialised care in a calm, supportive environment, prioritising the physical and emotional well-being of residents.

At the heart of their care is their commitment to great food. The Culinary Team, led by a skilled Chef, prepares wholesome, seasonal menus daily, promoting the health and well-being of residents with every meal.

A vibrant activities programme enriches the lives of residents, offering a variety of engagements tailored to individual abilities and interests. Whether enjoying the landscaped courtyard gardens, exploring local attractions on a minibus outing, or participating in creative workshops, there’s something for everyone.

Brentwood Care Centre is purpose-built, featuring recently refurbished facilities including a bistro, lounges, a cocktail bar, a cinema, a hair salon, and a library. Each ensuite bedroom is spacious and elegantly designed for maximum comfort and privacy.

As a family, we are grateful that my father was able to be cared for at Brentwood Care Centre. It is local for my mother to visit and homely. All the staff are very nice and friendly, and nothing is too much trouble for them.


Only I worry - I don't feel there are any activities for my father to

be part of. I haven't witnessed any yet, but he has only been here for 3 weeks. A ball game, skittles etc, as he used to play them at his day centre, would be stimulating for him.

My father stayed here for a month whilst we went on a long holiday. He really enjoyed the experience and I would be very happy to leave him here again.
Staff were caring, professional and his room was very comfortable.

My Mother-in-Law is constantly concerned about staffing levels and the amount of staff leaving. She has also, on several occasions, complained about the food, saying it is tasteless and she doesn't know what she's eating!

From the first day my brother was admitted, he has been treated with great care, patience and respect.
My sister and I are kept fully informed and our questions regarding his dementia are answered in full.
In the hospital, they regularly used a sedative to control his erratic behaviour but since
he's been at Brentwood they have managed his condition without the use of sedatives.
We are extremely happy with the care he has received.

I have been living at Brentwood Care Centre for five months respite after an injury to my back. I've been treated excellently by staff and management/office staff. When I came out of hospital following an operation and I came home to a warm, welcoming return. Everyone has been really helpful and kind
with nursing me back to full health. I am leaving at the end of the week and I am really going to miss everyone!

My husband has been here for approximately two months and eating very well. He now makes eye contact wit me and smiles at me. He has not done this for two years. His surroundings are bright and clean and the staff are always cheerful to him. The staff display a great deal of kindness to all the residents
and they are very patient.

The carers, on the whole, work hard but they have too many people and duties to attend to. Some of the night staff seem very uncaring. Management very complacent and leave carers to do jobs which they should be doing.

Very sad this home has issues regarding communication in relation to resident care plans and very poorly motivated carers. There are no specialist services as the website suggests. Care is basic and frequently different carers and agency staff due to high staff turnover.

My father enjoys the home and had the fondest of thoughts for the staff at Sandringham - this makes us very happy because my father is always happy. The staff at Sandringham are so helpful and kind, they help my dad greatly and always have time for him. This makes his life so much easier and knowing

My father has been in Brentwood Care Centre for 18 months. His care has been excellent. The staff work very hard in demanding circumstances. My father's room is adequate and the food is excellent. There are many activities for the residents. The entertainment staff work very hard. I believe my father
is well cared for. Sometimes there is a shortage of staff on my father's unit.

We are extremely happy with the care mum is receiving. She is very happy and settled even though she has only been a resident for 6 months. If any problems occur we are notified very quickly. The staff are all extremely patient and genuine.

Jacqui

Jacqui Shuttleworth

Job Title: General Manager

Jacqui recently joined the RCH Family as the General Manager of Brentwood Care Centre.


Jacqui brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and expertise to the home, with over 30 years of experience in the Health and Social Care Sector. For over 20 years, Jacqui has been managing residential, residential dementia, nursing, and rehabilitation care settings, including almost four years as an Operations and Compliance Manager.


For Jacqui, the passion and dedication that have inspired her career since 1992 are still vibrant. “I have relished and valued every aspect of my journey through the care pathway. I enjoy the diversity of the role – no two days are ever the same! I am especially passionate about the care of people living with dementia, offering stimulating and meaningful experiences for residents and ensuring that the care they receive is the best it can be. I love the social aspect of meeting and liaising with residents and their loved ones and supporting their journey at this time of their lives. I enjoy being able to lead a team of carers and nurses to deliver high-quality care to the people living at Brentwood Care Centre.”


Outside of work, Jacqui is an animal lover and shows her natural compassion and dedication through looking after the local wildlife. “I have a love of animals (once I was intending to become a vet) and I have some visiting foxes, cats, seagulls, and hedgehogs that I feed on my front lawn every day. I also go out with my partner each night to feed foxes and badgers at our local nature reserve. I hope in some small way I keep them well-fed, off the streets, and out of people’s rubbish sacks and help them to remain safe.”


Diana

Diana Moraru – Manole

Job Title: Essex Regional Operations Manager

Essex Regional Operations Manager, Diana has a wealth of experience and knowledge from across Health and Social Care Sectors.


With over 16 years of experience, Diana started her career as a Health Care Assistant in a neurosurgical hospital and went on to train and qualify as a Nurse in Romania. Since coming to the UK in 2016 as a Nurse, Diana has had various roles leading up to her first General Manager role in 2017.


Diana’s experience in developing a team’s knowledge and skills through leadership and mentoring is something she is passionate about and is looking forward to supporting RCH Care Homes across Essex.


Another part of her role as Essex Regional Operations Manager that she loves is, ‘inspiring a great team to make further differences to the lives of the residents, making sure they are living their best life possible and that everyone feels it is a nice place to live and work; because it’s a home from home.’


Whilst not a work Diana enjoys travelling, keeping up to date with world news and being adventurous; this year she took part in a Sky Dive!

Rhiannon McNeill

Job Title: Customer Relations Manager

Joined: 2022

Rhiannon joined the Brentwood Care Centre family in Spring 2022.


She is passionate about her role, supporting families and loved ones on their journey in looking for care and also building community links with the home's local community.


'I love that my role is meeting people whether that be supporting them in understanding the processes of looking for care during what can be a difficult time or, organising community events such as our monthly Dementia Cafés and our intergenerational events.'
