I would definitely recommend St Joseph's Nursing Home, they have been my mothers care providers for nearly 2 years now. The care she receives is excellent, and the staff are very helpful and compassionate to her needs. The residents all look settled and happy, and the home is very clean. The staff are
also very helpful and informative. I am grateful to St Joesph's for all the care they giving.

My husband had a tumour on his pelvis and was on palliative care. From the moment he was in there, until he died 6 weeks later, the care was excellent, and was out of pain, he was always clean and shaved and well-fed. It was a shame he could not appreciate it.

We were relieved when mum arrived at St Joseph's Nursing Home from a residential home. The deputy manager had travelled with me to Surrey during her annual leave to assess mum so that a plan of care could be made. On the day of admission, mum received a wonderful welcome, and every attempt was made
to make her feel at home. Mum was always clean and made comfortable, able to rest in bed when she needed to. Unfortunately, after just a few days there, mum had a major stroke. The nurses and carers were able to provide appropriate care so, mum did not spend her last days in a hospital. Something she would have hated. Mum died peacefully at St Joseph's a couple of days later. Mum was kept comfortable and clean at all times. I am a health care professional myself, and I could not fault the staff. The nurses and carers were excellent, very professional, very supportive, nothing was too much, and they all provided outstanding nursing care. We feel very blessed to have found St Joseph's Nursing Home.

You looked after my Uncle for over two years at St Joseph's Danbury. I could not praise the care and attention more should anyone else be considering St Joseph's for family members. The staff made it all so perfect. Nothing was ever too much trouble and the food always looked varied, fresh and home
made. There was always enough staff about (if needed) and the staff are the credit to your company.
Well done to all from the top to the foot workers and voluntary workers - even the onsite handy man was cheery, happy and lovely!

St Joseph's is beyond brilliant.
The home and rooms are always clean and well kept.
Without exception the staff are friendly, caring and treat the residents like their family.
The food is always fresh and well cooked.
I genuinely cannot find one fault with this home and would thoroughly recommend
it.
I could not have hoped for my mum's last days to be spent in such good surroundings.

My husband was in St Joseph’s for 6 months, and although he was very ill he was very happy with the care he received, especially from his carers not forgetting the chefs who couldn’t do enough to encourage him to eat. My daughter and I could not have found a better home for him to spend his final few
months and we are very grateful to all who worked there. His loving wife and his daughter.

Our mum came to St Joseph's December 2017 and spent 3 weeks here during her final stages of life as a permanent resident.
The staff were absolutely incredible. I cannot commend them all enough. From nursing care right down to the kitchen staff and cleaners. Everyone so personable and caring.
Mums
room was quiet and private, overlooking beautiful grounds and her care was second to none.
The staff were regular and Mum had early onset Alzheimer's so continuity was important. Mum was so happy here.
Mum had final stages of cancer. The nursing care and palliative care she had was fantastic. She never felt any pain or discomfort.
We as her family were also looked after I feel. We were never rushed, always informed and I felt Mums care was very transparent which I liked, by this I mean that the care folder was always on hand for us to view and add to. There are kitchen facilities for us to use too (tea, coffee) as well as a fridge if we were to bring our own sandwiches/food during our visit.

My Mother arrived at St Josephs care home in a very poorly state from hospital, we the family had been wanting her in a nice comfortable environment for some time. I cannot praise the treatment and care my Mother received for the final few days of her life. While every one of the staff we met was helpful,
In particular, I would like to commend three carers they were so caring and attentive. They also used their experience to guide us through the difficult last days and hours. They were so caring and attentive to us, the family, and in particular my Father, who they helped and made sure he was comfortable. My Mum died peacefully in the early hours of the morning on Wednesday 7th February, and I could not have hoped for a more peaceful way for her to go, in a nice comfortable room with constant care and with family around her for her final moments.

My father stayed at St.Joseph's for around five weeks. The care that he received was very thoughtful and kind. The staff were always very helpful and kept us informed of how dad was getting on. My wife was at St Joseph's Nursing Home receiving end of life care for 3 months. In every respect the care she received was excellent. I don't think we could have found a better place. She was looked after by all the staff - admin - carers - nursing - catering - cleaning - they also looked after me!
I can't thank them all enough.

On Thursday 16th April my father was transferred from a hospice to St Joseph Nursing Home. My father had terminal cancer and at that stage we didn't know how long he had left.
From the moment we arrived, we were all treated with such kindness and care it made the situation much easier for us.
Dad
was given the most professional and caring care that I have ever seen, I can't thank the staff enough for all their support in this most difficult time.
I and the rest of the family will never forget and we feel very lucky that Dad spent his final days in such a special place.

My Mum has been at St Jospeh's now for almost 2 years. She would never want to move to another nursing home, even if it was closer to us - she just loves St Joseph's. The staff are very friendly and they always take the time to chat and listen to my Mum's needs.
The home is always clean and tidy
and the recent renovations to flooring, decor etc. These last few months have made the home a nicer and cleaner place.

Having never had experience of a nursing home previously, it is slightly difficult to judge or compare based solely on daily visits over a 15 month period. Consequently, everything was very transparent in that time.
First impressions were that it was in need of a little TLC and coat of paint. (Much
internal decorating since completed). Would benefit from a new lift. However, the staff were very friendly and caring. The Nurses and Carers were professional in their approach and demonstrated their competence but also their humanity when dealing with residents and relatives alike.
Care was taken to deliver the meal that was ordered but there were occasional mistakes.
Inevitably some staff had better interpersonal skills than others and that was noticeable. It appeared management also detected this as one new member did not last long. In fairness, staff seemed under constant pressure but some did manage to find that bit of extra time for the 'personal touch' and that always made a difference.

My aunt was treated with kindness and respect. The staff were helpful and attentive. Welcoming to us as visitors, offered drinks at any time of day or night. I couldn't praise highly enough their efforts to make my aunt comfortable and highly regarded in her final weeks.

They do what it says in the brochure with care and consideration.
My friend was only admitted as a respite patient and enjoyed the service so much he has elected to stay as he says his care is excellent.
If I am ever in the unfortunate position to need care this is the place I will elect to be looked
after as the staff and management do their utmost for the smooth and safe running of St Joseph's.
