My mum was a resident up until February at Queens Court and my sister and family were always impressed with the care she received while there. Mum was always treated with dignity and was cared for by staff as though she were one of their own family. We are very grateful to everyone at Queens Court
and will miss them.

My mum was booked in to stay for a month's respite following hip replacement but we moved her home after a week. The staff are lovely people but woefully overstretched meaning call buzzers are ignored for more than half an hour - my mum resorted to telephoning the home then, when they answered, telling
them she was upstairs buzzing and could someone come! The rooms are basic and not cleaned well, my mum was in 8 days with only one bedding change on day 5 after we stepped in and requested it. I watched the cleaner check her bed table for crumbs and just wipe up the crumbs, leaving the rest of the table unwiped! The food is very poor and the main reason for moving. Even the staff don't know what they are serving (another observation and hearing conversation). The dining area/tea making area was closed for 3 days for refit without adequate temporary facilities, and with the dining tables still laid out among the dusty works. The overall atmosphere was one of chaos and disorganisation.

Since Dad has been resident, he has improved so much. No longer so lonely as he was at home and much better medically, cognitively and emotionally. The whole atmosphere of Queens Couirt has helped with this. The friendly staff, professional care, good food, diligent attention both pro and reactive to
his needs is fantastic! The ambience, decoration and layout makes it a home from home and the amazing activities arranged for residents keep them engaged, happy and involved. Absolutely fantastic, I'm impressed and delighted with every aspect of Queens Court, it's staff and care. Thank you!

So happy to know my husband is being cared for 24/7, and his care here is tip-top. He is in an environment with company and the events manager does an excellent job to keep people's mental situation busy with many heartwarming events which boost their general wellbeing. My mother was 92 when she went to stay at Queens Court Care Home. She had dementia. The staff were always very kind and understanding and treated the residents with dignity. My mother enjoyed her experience there, forming a genuine bond with the carers for the 2 years she was there.

I feel the attention to care is very good, any needs are addressed quickly. The staff are friendly, caring and always busy and nothing is too much trouble for them. I have volunteered at Super Sunday. It certainly was super. A great atmosphere. Great entertainment and enjoyment from the residents. Wonderful food. You could sense the fantastic atmosphere and the happiness from those attending. It was lovely to see the residents dancing.

I have been very impressed with the care, compassion and friendliness of this care home. All the staff have been amazing when we have asked for anything and are always happy to oblige. The activities are well organised and the member of staff running it has so much compassion, empathy and thought for
the residents and goes over and above to make them feel special and included and will endeavour to help them with any needs they have, this person is an amazing part of the team.

The home initially appears impressive, with clean, tidy, bedrooms and a wide range of food options, however, my main concern is the lack of staff. While most staff are friendly and helpful, there was no one available to service the front door to let visitors in. My brother stayed at Queens Court for
7 months until he died, he was kept clean but staff never shaved and we had to ask staff to brush his teeth and address his dry flaky skin. Despite raising these issues nothing was done. I found management insensitive to my brother's needs. We were shocked when the manager questioned the value of his external medical appointments stating "What is the point of all these appointments? He is dying anyway." Can staff be mindful to dress residents to accommodate extremely cold weather.

My review will focus on the recent annual BBQ and fete held on the 20th of July 2024. As usual, staff and volunteers 'pulled out all the stops' to provide a relaxed, convivial afternoon for residents, family members and friends. The garden was transformed with bunting fluttering in the breeze, various
stalls for residents to visit and a delicious BBQ lunch. A high point of the afternoon was the arrival of the petting zoo. The antics of the animals - piglets, sheep, goats and rabbits - provided much delight and happiness. All in all, this was an afternoon filled with laughter and joy.

Daniela joined the Queens Court family in 2023 as the home's Deputy Manager and has recently taken the role of the home’s General Manager.


As a Registered Nurse, Daniela has over ten years of experience within the Health and Social Care sector in Clinical and Managerial roles within the NHS and also the private sector.


“As the General Manager here at Queens Court Care Home, I'm committed to providing our residents with the best care possible in a compassionate and understanding way. I strive to create a happy, fun, friendly and familiar atmosphere and environment for the well-being of all.


My role is complex and involves a range of responsibilities that ensure our home runs smoothly and that the residents get the support they need. As the home’s manager, I genuinely care about our residents, the team and the wider care home community. I’m proud to be the manager of Queens Court, it’s a lovely place to work. The community culture of home shapes our values, beliefs and dedication of the staff who put the needs and preferences of residents at the centre of everything they do. At Queens Court, we provided an inclusive and welcoming environment for all, residents, their families and loved ones, staff and professionals.”


When Daniela isn’t at home, she enjoys nothing more than getting lost in a good book or taking a long swim to clear her mind, release stress, and rejuvenate her spirit.

Diana Moraru – Manole

Job Title: Operations Director

Joined: 2022

Essex Regional Operations Manager, Diana has a wealth of experience and knowledge from across Health and Social Care Sectors.


With over 16 years of experience, Diana started her career as a Health Care Assistant in a neurosurgical hospital and went on to train and qualify as a Nurse in Romania. Since coming to the UK in 2016 as a Nurse, Diana has had various roles leading up to her first General Manager role in 2017.


Diana’s experience in developing a team’s knowledge and skills through leadership and mentoring is something she is passionate about and is looking forward to supporting RCH Care Homes across Essex.


Another part of her role as Essex Regional Operations Manager that she loves is, ‘inspiring a great team to make further differences to the lives of the residents, making sure they are living their best life possible and that everyone feels it is a nice place to live and work; because it’s a home from home.’


Whilst not a work Diana enjoys travelling, keeping up to date with world news and being adventurous; this year she took part in a Sky Dive!

After 25 years of a legal professions I was looking to change my career and do something local within my community to make a difference.
I stumbled upon Queens Court Care Home for vacancies and was offered the position of Activities Co-ordinator.


I have been in my role for 4 years, and have loved every minute. I have learned it is not just a job but a vocation and this has helped me to find my place in the community.


What I love about my role is that I am able to make a difference to our residents’ lives and their families. Anther important part of my role is bringing together the local community as a whole.


I was recently honoured that as testament and in recognition of my role and what I've achieved within the role as Queens Court's Activities Co-ordinator I recently won the Pride of Essex, Unsung Hero Award 2020, to which I was blown me away!
