Mum seems a bit more settled now we can have regular visits. Very hard and frustrating during lockdown for Mum and myself. Hopefully, with summer approaching, Mum will be able to actually go outside and get a bit of vitamin D, which I am sure will make her more content. Possibly take her for a walk
in the wheelchair at some point.

My wife and I have been extremely impressed with the professionalism, understanding, quality of care and flexibility of the entire team ever since our initial enquiry in September 2020 through to the writing of this review. Not only did they cope admirably with the rapid deterioration of my father's
health, they managed it against an extremely challenging Covid backdrop, demonstrating incredible kindness, sensitivity, 'a can do' attitude and a genuine willingness to make sure both clients and their families felt engaged and comfortable with regulatory changes at this difficult time.

My mum has only been in Queens Court for 3 weeks, it went so smoothly because all the staff are so nice phoning me to tell me how she is. The manager has made this easy for me I've looked after mum for four and a half years so to have to put her here was frightening but I needn't have worried.

Just want to say what an amazing events manager the home has. We can't thank her enough for all the hard work she puts in. With what is going on right now with Covid-19 but also all year round. It's been very hard not being able to see our nana. But the events manager has gone out of her way to make
it possible for us. She really is a credit to the home.

The care my mum is receiving is excellent, the nursing staff address all her needs promptly, and we can converse at any time. All the staff truly care for the residents well being, they are friendly and welcoming, and very helpful. My mum has settled in well, her room is lovely and bright and always
kept clean.
We were able to visit at any time we wished and stay for as long as we wanted. My mum has special dietary needs, and these are being catered for, even trying out different meals to find out her preferences. Since the lockdown we are no longer able to visit, we have been receiving Facetime calls from the entertainment staff, I can not thank her enough, she has been going above and beyond her duties.
We are very grateful to all the staff who care for my mum.

My mother-in-law has been a resident at Queens Court for almost 18 months and during that time she has received good care and attention from the nurses, carers and support staff. In particular, the activity staff have been highly attentive to ensure that she and other residents are kept entertained
and amused by organising tea parties, BBQ, singing afternoons, and visits from local schools and pet centres. During the lockdown, the home cannot accept visitors, so they have set up a number of methods for loved ones to keep in contact, this has involved FaceTime calls, Skype, phone calls and window visits, all of which helps us to share some time with her. Mother-in-law had a hip replacement during March, and the nurses and carers have been very helpful in getting her mobilised again with her frame, she has also been moved to another room nearer to the nurses station so she can more easily be monitored and chat to the staff which she really enjoys.

Overall the last year of my brother was satisfactory. He was cared for in daily needs, but sometimes made to wait many hours to have a fresh nappy. As relatives, we witnessed this, wet bed and his distress. To our knowledge, 3 carers made him feel important. He began to shine when activity ladies involved
him in events, playing guitar and writing music. They spoke to him daily and encouraged him in joining in. For these ladies, I have much to be thankful for.

Mum has been shown such kindness and understanding by the staff of Queens Court. The environment is very friendly, and Mum looks forward to her visits. My mother was a resident at Queens Court Nursing Home for 18-months, up until her death in October 2019. She was 104! During her stay, she was quite happy and made friends with many of the staff. The activities staff were particularly good and worked extremely hard. She also enjoyed the visits from
the various animals.

My mother, age 96, has been a resident for almost a year. Nursing staff and carers have all been efficient and welcoming. As a family, we have enjoyed several occasions with mum, including BBQ's, musical afternoons and visits of animals and local school children.
Activity staff organise visits for
lunch, shopping and local outings to provide stimulation and a feeling of belonging in the community.

When I first visited the home for my mum, I was welcomed by the manager and staff with a good feeling. I was shown the room that my mother will be staying. Room a bit small for mum's needs but it is was a bright room and nicely decorated. Bed a bit worn but could be replaced in time. Food is very good,
so is the activities, my mum enjoys the bingo and the singing, ladies afternoon teas. It's a lovely home and my mother is very happy here. 9 months my mother has been here and am more pleased to see her so happy. Staff are very good. They work so hard to provide a service 24/7. The manager is very nice and understanding.

Following some falls, mum needed a greater level of care than carers popping in.
Of all the local homes we visited, Queens Court ticked all our boxes: Pleasant, accessible room, friendly welcoming staff, catering that panders to a demanding diabetic 90-year-old and an assurance that she is in safe
hands. We have not been disappointed.

Daniela Caprioara

Job Title: General Manager

Joined: 2023

Daniela joined the Queens Court family in 2023 as the home's Deputy Manager and has recently taken the role of the home’s General Manager.


As a Registered Nurse, Daniela has over ten years of experience within the Health and Social Care sector in Clinical and Managerial roles within the NHS and also the private sector.


“As the General Manager here at Queens Court Care Home, I'm committed to providing our residents with the best care possible in a compassionate and understanding way. I strive to create a happy, fun, friendly and familiar atmosphere and environment for the well-being of all.


My role is complex and involves a range of responsibilities that ensure our home runs smoothly and that the residents get the support they need. As the home’s manager, I genuinely care about our residents, the team and the wider care home community. I’m proud to be the manager of Queens Court, it’s a lovely place to work. The community culture of home shapes our values, beliefs and dedication of the staff who put the needs and preferences of residents at the centre of everything they do. At Queens Court, we provided an inclusive and welcoming environment for all, residents, their families and loved ones, staff and professionals.”


When Daniela isn’t at home, she enjoys nothing more than getting lost in a good book or taking a long swim to clear her mind, release stress, and rejuvenate her spirit.

Diana Moraru – Manole

Job Title: Operations Director

Essex Regional Operations Manager, Diana has a wealth of experience and knowledge from across Health and Social Care Sectors.


With over 16 years of experience, Diana started her career as a Health Care Assistant in a neurosurgical hospital and went on to train and qualify as a Nurse in Romania. Since coming to the UK in 2016 as a Nurse, Diana has had various roles leading up to her first General Manager role in 2017.


Diana’s experience in developing a team’s knowledge and skills through leadership and mentoring is something she is passionate about and is looking forward to supporting RCH Care Homes across Essex.


Another part of her role as Essex Regional Operations Manager that she loves is, ‘inspiring a great team to make further differences to the lives of the residents, making sure they are living their best life possible and that everyone feels it is a nice place to live and work; because it’s a home from home.’


Whilst not a work Diana enjoys travelling, keeping up to date with world news and being adventurous; this year she took part in a Sky Dive!

Joined: 2017

After 25 years of a legal professions I was looking to change my career and do something local within my community to make a difference.
I stumbled upon Queens Court Care Home for vacancies and was offered the position of Activities Co-ordinator.


I have been in my role for 4 years, and have loved every minute. I have learned it is not just a job but a vocation and this has helped me to find my place in the community.


What I love about my role is that I am able to make a difference to our residents’ lives and their families. Anther important part of my role is bringing together the local community as a whole.


I was recently honoured that as testament and in recognition of my role and what I've achieved within the role as Queens Court's Activities Co-ordinator I recently won the Pride of Essex, Unsung Hero Award 2020, to which I was blown me away!
