My mum was a resident of Brooklands Nursing Home from March 2024 until her death in September 2024. Mum was always treated with respect and kindness by every member of staff. There is a large activity and entertainment programme that caters for all residents, no matter their ability. As a family, we
never had any concern about Mum's welfare living at Brooklands. We were always welcomed when we visited and there was continuous communication between us, both on the phone and electronically when we could not. Mum was treated with care and dignity as part of her end-of-life care and we felt supported as a family. I would not hesitate to recommend Brooklands Nursing Home to anyone. Your loved one would receive the greatest care and you would have peace of mind.

All the staff do a fantastic job to ensure residents are cared for in a loving way and are treated with respect.
They go above and beyond for the residents and also for the families.
They always keep families informed of the care they are giving and any concerns are always dealt with.

We looked at many care homes for our mum before we viewed Brooklands Nursing Home. As soon as we walked in and were shown around. we knew that Brooklands was the one.
The staff are so kind and caring. Nothing is too much. The entertainment is very good. Always trying to keep them occupied and happy.
The food that is cooked onsite looks lovely. Always with a choice. The home is very clean and always smells nice. If there is ever a problem with Mum we are informed. We can check on her reports daily.
We are very happy with Mum being in Brooklands and so glad we found them.

My late mum spent three months at Brooklands Nursing Home at the end of her life. I cannot praise the staff enough for making her last weeks the best she could possibly have had, given her diagnosis. The standard of personal care was high, which I am certain is why she remained free from infection in
spite of her poorly state. There was no doubt that she was very lucky to be there with the level of care given to her.
It was very humbling to witness the dedication and love shown to her from total strangers, true caregivers. The receptionist was the most patient person doing this job I have come across, always smiling, polite and going the extra mile to help. When we visited, we were always made welcome and when Mum was well enough to go in the communal areas, we were included and able to join in the happy atmosphere.
Management, too, was there when I needed support for Mum.
Thank you everyone from the bottom of my heart.

I arrived at 12 noon to a warm and welcoming reception, as is usual no matter what time I arrive. My uncle was having lunch and I could see he was enjoying the food so much, I didn't want to disturb him. I could see he was being taken care of. I used the time to check with the care home manager on his
condition, needs and any recommendations. I was once again met with a warm, friendly and helpful manager, keen to keep me informed. The environment is clean... very clean! Everyone seemed relaxed and happy... well done to all the staff for caring for my uncle and keeping him at such a high standard of personal hygiene. Also for your patience dealing with him day to day.
My thanks to all the staff at Brooklands for their care and attention. You make it all look so easy, but I'm sure it's a lot of hard work. Thank you everyone... certainly a care home to be proud of.

My dad came to Brooklands from the hospital to receive end-of-life care. I cannot express how wonderful and kind every member of staff has been to my dad and my family. They have all been absolutely amazing and my dad was treated with so much dignity. I am in awe of everyone for the care and compassion
they have shown to my dad and other patients.

The home has made my aunt feel very at home. She is well looked after. The staff are caring and respectful and meet her medical needs. She currently has an excellent key worker who goes out of her way to communicate about my aunt and to try and improve her quality of life. The home is well-managed and

My husband is well cared for, enjoys his food and meals always look appetising; he can choose his meals, and staff always ask if he would like more. All the staff are caring and very friendly and approachable. The staff arrange activities for the residents, which is very good and sometimes takes residents
for a walk to the park or tea rooms, depending on how well they are.
My husband is always treated with courtesy, as are family and friends when they visit. The cleanliness has improved a lot, in my opinion, all rooms are being upgraded and improved.
Overall, we are very satisfied with the care my husband receives.

My partner lived in Brooklands for nine months in 2023. During his stay we both found the service, compassion, care and general cleanliness, activities and willingness to make us feel like being at home albeit away from home. The only criticism would be the quality (not quantity) of the food.

Staff are brilliant my father-in-law likes the care home. Communication is good and we are kept up to date. They use social media and meetings to communicate which really helps the family. The environment is suitable for dementia patients with murals and a lovely bus stop. We have no concerns with this

Mum was admitted to Brooklands straight from hospital after a fall in August. I was worried when I found the CQC report stated “requires improvement” but from the first visit I felt very comfortable with her being there. Every member of staff was welcoming, happy and calm. I immediately felt that at
long last Mum is safe and will be well cared for. She was extremely frail, confused and underweight. She has been at Brooklands for four months now and the care given to her has been so good she has gained weight and looks so much better. The staff have had to deal with some very challenging behaviour and have been extremely professional at all times with care and consideration. The home and her room are kept spotlessly clean and the food is prepared from fresh ingredients with good variation. There are activities every day including chair exercise, arts and crafts and ball games. Staff and Manager are always willing to talk or help with any problems.

My father was admitted to the nursing home straight from hospital. He had a complex disease which required numerous medications and treatments. My dad was treated with the utmost respect and care and I could not thank Brooklands enough. Everything we asked for happened and we were also treated with

Brooklands Nursing Home excelled in the one thing that it had to do; look after our Mum during the last few challenging months of her life.
The care team provided unfaltering attention to Mum, always with a smile and cheery disposition.
From first contact to her last day, the team were attentive and
so caring.
In her last few days, we stayed with her 24/7. We were constantly checked on and offered tea. Nothing was too much trouble, a real feeling of support and genuine care.
We only get one chance to make the end of somebody’s life as comfortable, peaceful and dignified as possible, with the fantastic support of Brooklands we know in our case this was achieved.
Every member of staff made a fantastic impression on us all, somehow managing to turn a really upsetting time for us, into a time that we will look back on with a smile.
The building looks a bit tired from the outside and the home is older than many, but it has a big heart and our family highly recommend Brooklands.

Can visit any time I like, even if covid is in the home. The staff are very welcoming and I feel my mum is very well looked after, which gives me peace of mind. The manager is very approachable. My mum has vascular dementia and heart failure. Yes, it's dated, which didn't give me the first best impression,
but care is more important than how a place looks and I feel my mum is very well looked after, so I recommend it.

We were very reluctant to put our dad in a nursing home because of some of the tales you hear, but he really couldn't be better cared for. He constantly says how caring the staff are and how well he's looked after. So happy he's at Brooklands.
