My husband has just described Brooklands like "home from home" and I agree. He has been here for ten days and has settled in better than I could have hoped. Happy caring staff are now allowed to wash and shave him of a two months beard. He is content when I leave him after a daily visit. I am made very
welcome and know all the staff by name, my husband's room is good, clean, comfortable and attractive with room for familiar objects from home. The food is pureed to make it easy for my husband to swallow. My husband is bedridden but I have made use of the bright airy dinning room in which the windows provide a pleasant view of the outside world. Access and exit from the building is controlled by an automated system that can only be operated by the staff thus keeping residents safe and unable to leave the building without staff or a relative.

Overall we are satisfied with the care home, although the premises could do with some attention, the overall care is very good. The home has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere and the staff are mostly very friendly and helpful. My only concern is the standard of personal care eg. shaving, showering,
teeth cleaning, nails and general appearance. We have informed the care home of our concerns and they have been receptive to our comments.

My mother and I are very pleased with all aspects of the care home. The staff are all friendly and only to pleased to help the residents. They have special events all through the year, BBQ's, Cream Teas, Clothes Sales etc. I would recommend Brooklands Care Home to anyone. As a family we are welcomed
to all the events and are made to feel at home, every time we go there.

My mothers care and needs were attended to at all times and we were always included in this. Mum was in Brooklands for 18 months during which time her condition deteriorated her care was reviewed regularly and adjusted to suit all her needs. She was always clean and tidy and we were welcomed to visit
her at anytime. The staff were always polite friendly and informative. When we left to come home we knew we were leaving her in very capable hands which give us great peace of mind.
