The fully trained and supportive staff, pride themselves on the delivery of the highest standard of personalised care, promoting resident independence and respecting their dignity at all times.

Langley Lodge is situated in a pleasant area of Westcliff-on-Sea and enjoys views of the Thames Estuary.

The onsite cook provides home cooked meals and is happy to cater for all tastes and dietary requirements.

With the activities co-ordinator on hand and with regular visiting entertainment, residents are able to stay active and entertained as much as they wish.

My mum was happy and well looked after. We felt secure that she was in safe hands, and she was treated with very special care and attention to all her needs, right up until her end of life. I would happily recommend Langley Lodge for anybody's loved ones. Cannot praise them enough.

My nan moved onto Langley Lodge for palliative care. This was a huge and emotional set for us as a family. However, from the moment she arrived, we knew it was home. The staff were amazing, so caring and attentive. Simply cannot fault the team. They are all amazing and make Langley Lodge a comfortable
and inviting home from home.

In a very difficult situation with Covid-19 on the rampage, the home has communicated any issues during lock-down. Prior to lock-down, my father seemed to be settled. The food looked great and he was getting good care.

The staff at Langley Lodge have been looking after my father for three months. It’s difficult to put into words how wonderful they have been with him since he arrived. When my brother and I first looked at nursing homes, Langley Lodge immediately stood out. As I walked into the home, I felt a lightness
about the place, something I had not felt before at the others we had visited. At Langley, it’s not just the large bright airy communal rooms that are full of light, but the atmosphere as well. There is a subtle happy buzz which is in every corner of this lovely building, and it’s mostly due to the staff. They can’t do enough for their residents. Homecooked food throughout the day follows my father's daily showers. At 90 years of age, he is the happiest I have seen him for years. My father’s problems are physical, so we always know what he is experiencing. He cannot praise the staff enough at Langley and is so grateful he is living there. I highly recommend Langley Lodge.

After over a month long stay in Hospital, it was clear my father-in-law needed full time nursing care. After visiting several homes in our area, we knew straight away that Langley Lodge would be the right place for him, it just felt right and met all of his requirements. The Management and staff were
so welcoming and answered all of our questions and fears. It took him just a few days to settle in and get into a new routine. He started eating well putting back weight he'd lost in hospital, and began gaining strength and walking again within days of being there, the change in his mental health greatly improved too. My father-in-law shares a large bright room with another gentleman which he's happy with. He gets showered each morning, has breakfast in his room and is able to walk aided to sit in a chair by the window with nice views. The nurses, care workers and Management are wonderful and make his days the best they can be, he wakes each day with a smile, he couldn't be happier.

I cannot recommend Langley Lodge enough! My father is so happy there, he loves it! The staff make him feel special every single day and the care he has received is the highest level possible. The trauma of our father having to go in care and the emotional rollercoaster surrounding it was softened by
the professional and caring attitude that Langley applies every day. As soon as we went in to view we knew the place was perfect. We could not be happier with our choice and my Father is the happiest I've seen him in years.
The carers, nurses, management and caretakers are just wonderful, it's just a brilliant place.

My mother and father were both residents at Langley Lodge and were able to share a large sunny bedroom, which was ideal for them. The care here was excellent, the staff genuinely caring and warm. The qualified nursing staff are very experienced and the nursing care was outstanding, particularly at end
of life.
The home is very well managed, a social worker who came to assess my mother’s care commented on the high quality of record-keeping and monitoring, and we found the staff very responsive to any concerns raised, we never felt brushed off or ignored.

My mum was a resident at Langley for the last 18months of her life. As a medical professional, I have been in and around many clinical care settings and I am very happy with the quality of care my mum received. It was a home, not a care facility and the staff looked after my mum and our family with
a warm embrace.


She had complex medical needs and at times required skilled nursing care to look after her. This care was consistently tailored to her as an individual and always respectful to her preferences, especially at end of life. The staff were responsive to communication and always open to discussion and feedback. Maintaining dignity was very important to Mum and the staff always had time to make sure her hair was brushed and her earrings were different every day.


Our family is very grateful for the love, care and respect given to Mum at Langley in the last stage of her life.

Langley Lodge provided fantastic care for my mother throughout her time in the home.
Right up to her last days, she was treated with dignity and care. Any request that was made was considered and completed where possible, without hesitation where appropriate.

My mother was in remission from renal failure and transferred from a hospice to Langley Lodge. The management were very open about the home, associated fees and we were shown available bedrooms, communal lounge/kitchen etc. Mum had a single room with a view to the sea. Staff were attentive to her needs
and requirements and friendly towards the family. The nursing team understood her condition and requirements. Staff were very caring towards the family when mum passed away and overall Langley Lodge was a good choice of nursing home for mum's last weeks.

This lady friend was unmarried and has no family to support her when Parkinson's began to set in slowly. She was still active but eventually found she needed care and was recommended to Langly Lodge by her solicitor who had had a relative cared for there. There were several other homes in the area but
the official care home survey gave Langly Lodge a high rating on all account. From our experience, this friend was treated with kindness and allowed to fo out with a member of staff to local clubs and her regular church attendance. The management protected her from visitors they felt were a possible problem and she was given a comfortable room to live in and was able to eat her meals on her own, which she preferred. In all respects, she was happy and spent her last years in a very friendly and caring environment. I would be happy to be a client.
