Purpose-built in an 'arts and crafts' style, Belmore Lodge occupies a stately position close to the historic market town of Lymington, which nestles between the beautiful south coast and the wonderful New Forest.

Residents enjoy companionship and can join in with singing, music, exercise and arts and crafts sessions. There is the opportunity for gentle gardening activities in the summer sunshine, and there is a busy pen pal scheme.
The home is registered for nursing care and staffed by dedicated nurses and health care professionals with extensive experience in caring for age-related conditions and fully trained in infection control.

Designed and furnished with a country house feel, Belmore Lodge offers 55 en-suite bedrooms, a number of comfortable lounges and a dining room overlooking the manicured gardens.

There are also well-equipped kitchenettes on each floor for both residents and their visitors' use. There is a cafe serving tea, coffee and cake and part of this room make up the activities area, complete with games and books.

The home has a unique ambience where it is not unusual to experience a sense of calm alongside the frequent sound of laughter.

My wife was looked after in an exemplary manner for eight months. All her needs were met. So, despite her initial misgivings about being a care home resident had disappeared and she was very happy and contented. The nursing element of her care was well tailored to her needs and handled a few crises
most efficiently. I have nothing but praise for the staff and management.

When my mother was given a terminal diagnosis she made the decision to leave her home and move to a care/nursing home knowing that she would need nursing care at some point in the not to distant future. Having been recommended Belmore Lodge by a friend I made an appointment to visit. It was the only
care home I visited, which says everything. I and subsequently my sister and our families were welcomed into Belmore and treated with kindness, respect and compassion. The end of life care my mother received was all we could have hoped for in such difficult circumstances. Losing her independence was her biggest challenge and staff approached her with sensitivity and genuine care, always listening to what she wanted and being led by her. Belmore Lodge is a professionally run and very well led care home with old fashioned values and a sense of pride in what they do. We as a family could never have imagined our mother in a care home and we consider ourselves very lucky to have found Belmore.

My friend was a resident for eighteen months. She decided she needed more care than she was able to give herself while living on her own.
She was a bright, intelligent lady and found the activities offered by the care home to be entertaining, varied and stimulating/
The grounds are beautiful to
sit in and enjoy nature and beautifully maintained.
All of the staff are friendly, welcoming and caring to both residents and visitors alike and the nursing care and food are exemplary.

My mother passed away at the age of 96 after staying at Belmore Lodge for almost thirteen years. Throughout that time, the care she received was outstanding and the staff were unfailingly efficient, friendly and supportive. Over that time, the staff became her extended family and it was a great comfort
to us knowing she was so well looked after.
After her passing, the management and staff were very supportive in making all necessary arrangements and even arranged a commemorative tea for her after the funeral service. We were so touched to see how upset some of the staff were at her loss and a number of them came to the funeral or made a point of coming to pay their respects.
We would unreservedly recommend Belmore Lodge and its dedicated staff and thank them for making my mother's later years comfortable, enjoyable and safe.

We have found the staff very supportive when our aunt moved into the home earlier this year. It was not an easy transition and since then she has settled down well. Without exception, staff are friendly and always willing to help. The home has a wide range of varied activities every day and from my
aunt’s comments, food is of a high standard. The nurses keep us well-informed and always respond to calls promptly. I highly recommend this home.

My dad arrived in Belmore Lodge Care Home in March 2023! We were all nervous and sad as Dad had suffered a stroke and would need 24/7 care.
Belmore became my second home, I’d visit my dad every single day. Most days I’d bring my 5-year-old daughter with me. We were always greeted and made so welcome.
Dad's care was impeccable for the seven months he was there, nurses checking in on him and his personal care every 2 hours too.
Dad sadly passed away during October this year. During his last days, the home looked after my brother and I just as much as they did our father. They truly made our last days and hours with Dad peaceful. They were so caring towards us and we were able to stay with him which was so wonderful so he knew we were with him.
I drive past often and feel sad he is not there anymore but also, I miss going in and seeing all the staff who were very friendly to us all. Thank you Belmore.

My mum spent four weeks in respite care in Belmore Lodge following an emergency admission this summer. With this review, I would like to thank all the staff who took care of my mum so compassionately and professionally. From the first point of contact, everyone worked together to allow a quick and efficient
admittance. The residents, as well as the staff, also supported Mum with her recovery by both talking and listening and by sharing their stories and experiences. Mum soon showed improvements and then enjoyed joining the activities on offer as well as the food. Thank you to all the team - I cannot recommend you highly enough.

Belmore Lodge is an extremely lovely home giving total support to loved ones, every time I visited a client on a private
level there was always a smile from management and time to chat, reception and the carers, the laundry and housekeeping were amazing. They do support the happiness and dignity of the resident and give time to the resident, friends and family that need also to talk, the nursing staff was always there when I had a question and took everything on a totally professional level as for the daily menu, it was lovely giving good choice for the residents and also for the friends and family, we were looked after in a lovely restaurant that made the experience absolutely amazing.

We cannot thank the staff at Belmore Lodge enough for their fantastic care. From the moment my grandfather arrived, the staff made him feel like he was home. The choice and selection of food options were amazing and the quality was the same as a home-cooked meal. The room was modern and spacious and
set within lovely grounds. There is never a dull moment at Belmore with their wonderful activities team. There is always something to keep the residents entertained no matter the level of care required. The Belmore minibus excursions are a real treat. Even a simple trip around the forest meant so much to my grandfather. Other trips also ensured the residents didn't miss out on important events such as Remembrance Sunday. The manager of the care home is a real asset to the company. We are so grateful to the team at Belmore for all the love and support you gave both to my grandfather and us as a family. We will stay in touch!

Mum moved into Belmore Lodge in Oct 2022, initially for respite care but quickly changed to becoming a resident. We couldn't be happier with the staff, across all the different types of work they do, the home is always spotless and richly decorated for occasions and the care Mum has received has been
first class. Belmore Lodge has not only provided the care Mum needs but has 'been there' for us too, we are very grateful for the patience with our worries, and questions and for the peace of mind and reassurance, we have now.
Mum had a birthday this month and we were so happy and even overwhelmed with the decorations in her room, a personalised birthday cake made especially for her - delicious - even gifts! The attention to detail, continuous high energy and professionalism are outstanding. Thank you to every one of the team at Belmore Lodge, we think you are amazing so keep up your fantastic work. My first experience of a care home, recovering from a serious operation. I was welcomed by all and cannot find anything to criticise. I was a resident for seven weeks. The nursing care following my hospital stay was excellent. The decoration in the home lounges and common areas was more like a high-end
hotel than I imagined a home to be. The food was tasty and different, I can't remember having the same dish twice. The homemade soups were especially good. All in all, if I have to come back to a care home it would have to Belmore Lodge without question.
