Challoner House offers high-quality nursing and residential care in an un-rivalled setting located in the lovely village of Chandlers Ford, and on a direct bus route to and from Southampton.

The warmth of welcome from the team of staff can be felt the minute as soon as visitors step foot into this lovely home.

With their help and the help of the ladies and gentlemen who live with them – they really do offer a home from home. The team provides high-quality care with a caring and person-centred attitude. Their approach to nursing care is based on the use of personalised care plans. Drawn up with the individuals they support and their families, care plans will help ensure that each person they look after is treated with respect and that their independence and choice are maximised.

Professionals passion for the home can be seen in everything they do - in their cooking, hospitality, housekeeping and, of course, in organising activities for residents.

Activities make up the most important part of all their days and at Challoner House, they ensure they provide a variety that reflects the interests and capabilities of all the ladies and gentlemen they support. Full use is made of the home’s minibus and being located so close to the M3 in minutes, they can be enjoying the beautiful surrounding countryside. There are several regular group sessions – but perhaps the most popular – certainly with the ladies are regular pamper sessions.

Beautifully landscaped award-winning gardens allow residents to enjoy a high standard of outdoor living. The frequent events and parties include all residents who wish to join in and their families.

The home takes pride in the staff and residents at Challoner to make it as homely as possibly can.

The staff made my mum's last days comfortable. She was looked after with care and dignity, which is all one could wish for. A real home from home. Relatives were treated well and informed of care every step of the way.

Shortly after my review in September, my darling husband had a chest infection and died peacefully on the 1st of October. The care he received was brilliant, at the end I was holding him, the manager was monitoring his pulse and keeping me informed. The after care I have received has amazed me, when
my time comes I hope I get the same love, care and attention that my darling husband received at Challoner House. I would like to thank ALL the staff, and a special thanks to the deputy manager who delivered a lovely tribute at my husbands funeral.

We knew Challoner House was the right nursing home for dad straight away after visiting. Dad has complex needs and Challoner House have done their upmost to care and look after him. All aspects of his care are excellent. Staff at Challoner House love their jobs and this shows through the excellent service.
My dad would be the first to complain about anything if it wasn't right and I haven't heard a thing.
