Excellent care for my mother, carers have got to know her and she loves talking to them. Suggestions for activities would be more craft things for Mum as she loves doing craft and painting, decorating biscuits or small cakes. Mum used to love baking.

The Staff at Colbury House have been supportive during a difficult time moving my Grandmother into Colbury House. The home is clean and they are very organised with medicine rounds and other routines. My grandmother likes the food and this has been a good aspect. The staff are also very accommodating
and have taken her to medical appointments to help us. They also have a great entertainment schedule for the residents. I would recommend Colbury House.

My mum has dementia and has been very happy since she moved into Colbury House last year.
She settled very quickly and got on well with all of the staff.
The home has two fantastic activities staff and they organise lots of things for the residents to do, mostly in the home, but sometimes taking them
out in the minibus.
We are kept informed if there are any issues, such as mum being ill and we feel happy that mum is safe and being well looked after.

The family has been very happy with the care our relative has received. He settled in well and the staff was very attentive. He seems to enjoy the food and there's always plenty of it. His room is fairly basic but most of his time is spent in the day room which is bright and cheerful.

My dad has been living at Colbury House for about 4 months now. He has Parkinson's and dementia. I did lots of research of care homes in Hampshire and made a shortlist for us to visit. I liked that my dad was the customer (rather than me) when we visited.
It was important to my dad that he was able
to get outdoors (some places have beautiful grounds but residents with dementia don't tend to be allowed outside much due to staffing). My dad communicated this to the staff member we met and they assured him this would be possible. They kept their word! After a few weeks, they accompanied Dad on daily trips outside. They have since assessed him and he is now out daily by himself. Because he feels safe and staff communicate with him, he seems contented within the grounds.
It did take about 4 weeks for Dad to settle. A few months on, I receive calls when anything occurs (I've stopped phoning to see how things are going). Staff are warm/established/caring. Great entertainment. Long may it continue.

From the moment my husband entered Colbury House in December 2023, I felt he was loved and cared for. Such a warm homely feeling. I was very anxious and apprehensive when I realised I could no longer give him the care he needed. I’ll never forget a member of staff saying to me “We are all one big family
here”, so true. Everyone there works 100% to make life the best it can be for residents, both inside and out, the grounds are beautiful and give residents plenty of outside space to enjoy. Although it was hard to be parted after a lifetime together I felt as though ‘we’ were among friends. The staff and indeed the owner have my eternal thanks.

My Mum was welcomed to Colbury Care Home in November of 2023, she was very unwell and sadly beyond any treatments so she received end-of-life/palliative care at the home.
The level of care and attention was excellent, as was the lovely setting and location. The team was very helpful, in particular
when we arranged for Mum's siblings and grandchildren to come and visit they were very accommodating.
Every request we made was dealt with without fuss and all the carers were incredibly kind to Mum. She was well looked after and her final weeks were peaceful I believe.
It has taken me a long time to write a review as Mum's passing was very difficult to process and I haven't felt able to put words to the experience but the Care Home deserves a proper review as myself, my brother and my Dad were ultimately very satisfied with the care provided by Colbury.
Thanks to all the team who cared for Mum.

My mum moved into the home quite recently as her care needs became greater, and my father and I could no longer manage her at home.
All of the staff are lovely - Mum can be quite difficult to deal with.
Everyone just takes it in their stride.
I wouldn't want my mum to be anywhere else.
She is being
looked after better than I could ever imagine.
Everyone is amazing, the home is very clean and tidy.
All the staff are very polite and always happy to help.
While sitting in the lounge with my mum, I can see the other residents are all happy and content.
I would highly recommend Colbury House to anyone that I know.

My father has Alzheimer’s and after many months of trying to look after him myself, I realised that I was kidding myself so Colbury House was my choice of care home. The professionalism they showed right from the beginning was unsurpassed, the wonderful carers that have transformed my father and put
a smile back on his face. The whole experience was flawless and very professional, the home is spotless, the staff are wonderful and the communication was exemplary. My father is safe, warm, well fed and happy and so is my family. All staff very helpful, though older ones most sympathetic, would not have him back after he fell and went to hospital. Business manager and several older mature staff very helpful. Very sorry relationship had to end.

Mum lived at Colbury from February 23 until she died in November 23. I wanted to submit a review for the whole experience.
The staff were never less than caring, compassionate and good humoured. Special mention to the fantastic Business Manager whose warmth, openness and warmth to both Mum and us ‘children’
is a tremendous asset that the home should value and celebrate. The Manager and Deputy Manager are fabulous professionals.
I’ve come to understand a home can’t prevent issues happening, but that the residents and their families are paying to have the peace of mind that when things happen help, care and support is available immediately. I couldn’t have wished for Mum to be better looked after during her last few difficult months. Thank you.

Thank you for keeping my parents safe and happy. The level of care from all staff is consistently high, whatever time of day, each visit. Management are approachable, open to suggestions to constantly improve residents' wellbeing. Family and friends are made welcome and accommodated to ensure visits
with loved ones are happy. Carers are exactly that, ‘caring’, mindful of residents' dignity, thorough with personal care and include a sense of humour. Nursing is considerate and informative to both residents and family, thorough to chase up any concerns. Housekeeping is immaculate, all rooms clean, clothes looked after and found should they go astray. The kitchen staff cook fantastic, fresh, appealing hot meals. Well-being coordinators are incredible, always find new, fun things to do at the home, in groups, one to one or trips out in the minibus to suit the residents preference. Maintenance is very prompt, reliable and professional. Such a friendly gardener, the grounds so interesting through each season.

My brother is a fairly long-term resident at Colbury House Nursing Home. The house always looks clean. The residents always look clean and cared for. The staff treat residents and visitors alike with kindness and courtesy. I know my brother's wife is very happy with the care and attention he receives

Dad settled well due to the wonderful staff. They are all friendly, caring and attentive to him and his family. There is a very relaxed atmosphere in the home and everyone is treated as an individual. A variety of activities are offered and new ideas are encouraged, clever ways of getting people to

After 6 years in the social care sector, I started my career as a registered nurse, graduating from Southampton University in 2012. As a nurse, I then became active within the local community before moving into leadership and management.


My approach thrives on empowering my team and creating a collaborative and supportive work environment, all the while being dedicated to the residents under my care ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality care.


I’m passionate about creating a strong team culture, supporting staff to work to the level of their expertise and training and adapting to changing models of care. Making sure each nurse under my care is equipped to deliver a high level of service at all times.


I’m very family-orientated and enjoy spending time with the family, managing the children's hectic lives and enjoying days out. I’ve a particular interest in Theatre and gardening.

I’ve been working in care since I left school, studied for my nursing degree at Homerton College, Cambs and became a fully qualified nurse in March 2004.


I’ve since worked in Neuro Intensive Care, Trauma, Orthopaedics and Cardiac Catheter Labs.


After getting married and having 2 children, I moved to Southampton and continued my nursing career with further education at Southampton University.


In 2013 I became a practice nurse at a large GP surgery and became a specialist in diabetes, asthma, COPD and chronic heart disease.


I joined Colbury in 2021 as Deputy Manager, and am happy to celebrate 20 years as a registered nurse.
In my spare time I love to garden, go walking, and enjoy adventures in general. I also love to read.
