St George's private nursing home provides high quality professional care to residents that require nursing care in Milford-on-Sea in Hampshire.

The home is based near many scenic landmarks, near the New Forest and with a short walk to the sea, overlooking the Isle of Wight and The Needles. The nearest larger towns are only a short drive; Lymington and Milford (10 minutes), Christchurch (20 minutes) and Bournemouth (30 minutes).

The accommodation is single occupancy rooms, mostly with en-suite facilities. The is also one double bedroom available.

St. George’s is registered to cater for adults for general nursing care. This includes convalescence, acute medical, postoperative, respite and physically disabled care. Palliative care is also offered.

I cannot rate St George's high enough. All the staff are caring, competent and supportive. My father was looked after admirably. The staff made my father's last days as comfortable as possible, just like they had from the first day he went there.
I'd recommend St George's to anyone who have a loved
one that needs care. Thank you to all at St Georges.

My mother is a resident at St George's. She is very elderly and frail and no longer able to stay in her own home. We have found the care to be excellent, my mother always looks clean and is made as comfortable as she can be. The staff are very pleasant and attentive.

Mum has been a resident of St George's for over 5 years. She is 105 years old now and requires full nursing care. She receives, and always has received, excellent care and every effort is made to make her feel comfortable and at home. I have full confidence in the staff at St George's. Everyone is very
friendly and approachable. I know that Mum is safe and well cared for at all times.

My Mum settled fairly quickly into St. George's and her overall health has improved greatly there is always the opportunity to discuss health concerns with nursing staff and a gp visits weekly.
When I visit her weekly I am always made welcome and everyone knows who I am and who my Mum is. Her friends
visit too.
The food is well cooked and there is always a choice, Mums room is bright and warm with an en-suite bathroom. She has a comfortable bed and some of her own belonging in her room.
There is something going on most afternoons and Mum enjoys the yoga and the quizzes.
The staff are so friendly and caring and Mum feels she can ask for help with anything.
The whole family feel a sense of relief that Mum is well cared for and safe with wrap around care and attention.

The care and compassion shown by all the staff at St.George's towards not only the residents but family and friends alike is outstanding.
The premises are spotlessly clean and the vigilance and thoroughness of the nursing staff is exemplary.
My family feel that we made the very best decision in choosing

We began by using the home care visits and when this was not enough support my mother became a resident. Without exception everyone has gone above and beyond to make my mum feel welcome and cared for. She has settled in wonderfully and feels safe and secure

Long before we needed residential care, out first impression of St George's was good - reception invited us to 'drop in at any time, and we will show you round'. This we did, and my husband was delighted with the way any members of staff we met, engaged with us. He has now been a resident for just over
a year and I am welcomed to spend as much time with him as I want. The managers have an open door and are very understanding and responsive. Chef and his team provide excellent, tasty and generous meals and snacks. My husband's room is well furnished and, on a daily basis, the housekeeping staff both clean the rooms and wash, iron and return laundry, both to a high standard. A programme of activities is provided daily and run by a dedicated team and the maintenance team look after any issues quickly and efficiently. Finally, and most important, the carers are excellent - very competent, respectful and kind and, reassuringly, the night staff look in to check on residents every hour. I would not hesitate to recommend St. Georges.

I must start with the staff! They all, without exclusion, contribute to making St George's Nursing Home the quite outstanding home that it is. Care and concern for their residents is built in and it is a privilege to experience it day by day. The same attitude is apparent in the cleaning staff, the
laundry, one must mention the leadership and ownership without whom standards would not be as exceptional as they are.

I would highly recommend St Georges Nursing Home. The staff are helpful, happy and friendly and very caring to the residents. The food is varied and good. There are activities should the residents wish to participate. There is a nice rear garden where they have barbecues in the summer.

My partner was admitted here from the hospital last Monday evening. He had been suffering agony from a problem with his catheter. It was a nightmare during which he was literally screaming all night at the hospital. I stayed all night but couldn't do anything. Well at last he was discharged from the
hospital to St George's, it was a miracle! From hell to heaven! I still can hardly believe it! Thank you so much! You are wonderful people, so kind and caring!

St George's Nursing Home has a friendly and caring atmosphere. The staff always go the extra mile to accommodate the wishes and needs of the residents.
When my mother passed away, the support and constant company from the care staff, nurses and activity department was amazing. The activities department,
headed up by one gentleman, always has time to talk to Dad.

I spent just over one month at this institution.
The registered manager has a "can do" attitude and was ever so helpful to me and my family.
The physio and hairdresser were kind and professional.

Where do I start; what a wonderful home full of wonderful, kind and caring people.
We have been very lucky to find such a wonderful home.
My mum moved in just over a week ago, she has been to the care home for 11 years, but I wish it had been an option to move her sooner. She has settled in here
very quickly and is very well looked after. All the staff, nurses, careers, reception staff, catering team and the handyman are absolutely amazing and will do anything to help; they have made not only my mum feel at home quickly but also me, which means a lot. I know my mum is being well cared for, and they are looking into ways to make things easier for her.

My husband has Parkinson's and Dementia and is currently a resident in St George's. St George's is unique in that it has a clinically trained management team whose hard-earned experience has harmonised into a 'top-down/bottom up' management approach which focuses on staff training and prioritises residents'
care needs. From the initial assessment to service delivery, all members of the St Georges's care team know what collaborative, patient-centred care is and more importantly, have the expertise and training to implement and deliver that. Astute nursing care, together with a team of carers and ancillary staff with a shared care ethos has resulted in the provision of a consistent, high calibre level of care which means I no longer need to worry about my husband's safety or well-being. That's important, given I had to terminate a previous respite placement with a another provider due to care concerns. Suffice to say, St George's has given me a fresh perspective on residential aged care.

My friend has been in St George's on three occasions for respite care, she has been in other care homes previously, but St George's is the one I am most happy with if she has to be anywhere other than at home.

How very lucky we have been finding St George's for my mum. The staff are exemplary every day, and it feels like a warm, big, happy family, and they are always available for us. Mum has had depression for 22 years and dementia. St George's have worked their magic - got her out of bed and mixing with
people and joining in all the activities - it truly is a miracle.
