St George's private nursing home provides high quality professional care to residents that require nursing care in Milford-on-Sea in Hampshire.

The home is based near many scenic landmarks, near the New Forest and with a short walk to the sea, overlooking the Isle of Wight and The Needles. The nearest larger towns are only a short drive; Lymington and Milford (10 minutes), Christchurch (20 minutes) and Bournemouth (30 minutes).

The accommodation is single occupancy rooms, mostly with en-suite facilities. The is also one double bedroom available.

St. George’s is registered to cater for adults for general nursing care. This includes convalescence, acute medical, postoperative, respite and physically disabled care. Palliative care is also offered.

On arrival, there is always a calm, pleasant atmosphere.
The receptionist is welcoming and staff helpful and caring.
The activity carers, in particular, are so good with the residents and seem to actively enjoy looking after the residents. I feel very assured my mother is being well cared for.

My mother went to St George's Nursing Home as emergency respite. We cannot fault the admission procedure, care, nursing and activities staff, all of whom made mum and her family very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble excellent standards of cleanliness and care. Thank you for making a difficult time
so much easier for the family.

Mum stayed in St George's for 3 weeks on respite care and has said she would be very happy to stay there again.
The staff were very friendly and looked after mum with great care. She was encouraged to join in with activities but never pushed. Catering was excellent. Mum was very comfortable in her
en-suite room and said the stay did her the world of good.

I am seriously disabled and came here in July 2016 with a variety of sores (a dozen in all), all of which have now healed but that on my sacrum is vulnerable since much of my time I'm sitting on it! I'm therefore obliged to go to bed earlier than I'd like, 17.30pm!
I can't call it home but have to
acclimatise to living in such a place as this, and as such, am relieved to be in such a good establishment. But costly at £5500 per month and not when woken at 5 am on consecutive mornings to be turned.

My mother has been a resident of St George's for five years. She has been extremely well looked after and is very happy. The whole team create a feeling and ethic that St George's in my mothers home and that they are there to look after her. She particularly likes the activities, which are both imaginative
and creative, full credit to the activities team. It is so important that the elderly and frail have a daily purpose.
Staff in reception and the finance office are helpful and efficient at all times. Deputy matron excellent, only sour note, new nurses will not give their names.

My mother spent six months in St George's and passed away there aged 94. She received the very best of care, both medically and for her as a person. The activities team were wonderful with her as were the nursing and care team. She looked at St George's as her home.
The staff were also very understanding
of my needs as a relative. A wonderful place, always spotlessly clean and a happy environment that I visited every day.

I have always been more than happy with the care my mother has received at St George's. She is very happy and settled there and I am confident that the staff have her best interests at heart and allow her to be as independent as she can be in a safe and secure environment.
