Greenbanks Care Home aims to deliver the highest quality of care with additional experience in dementia, but in a setting that feels more like a home than a hotel.

With an enthusiastic and highly trained team of care staff, the home is registered to care for up to 30 individuals. The majority of the rooms have en-suite facilities and views onto the lovely garden. There are also 3 communal lounges and a dining room to encourage positive social mealtimes.

All aspects of daily living are supported; from ensuring someone’s daily evening sherry is provided to accessing places or activities they have never experienced before. The home has a proven track record of improving outcomes for residents both on a permanent and a respite basis.

The dedicated activity coordinator ensures a diverse range of group activities throughout the week, as well as creating a bespoke activities plan in partnership with each resident. This ensures that each resident’s social, psychological, and emotional wellbeing is maintained to the highest level. After all, care isn’t just about someone’s physical needs.

If you would like to come and visit, the team will be more than happy to show you around the home they are so proud of, so contact today to book in.

I have no complaints. We chose this home as we thought it was the best suited for my mother and now years later, we still feel the same. Very happy for my mother and all my family are very happy with the home and all the staff. Hopefully I will being going there!!!

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.4 (9.376) out of 10 for Greenbanks Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 6 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.6 out of 5 from 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.776 for Greenbanks Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (54 Excellents x 5) + (11 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 67 Ratings = 4.776

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.6 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Greenbanks Care Home is based on 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 = 3.6

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 30 registered maximum number of service users is 6, which has been reached with 6 Positive reviews. Points = 1

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Registered Manager

I'm Filipa, I began my care journey at the age of 18, initially taking on the role of a care assistant to fund my degree. My passion for making a difference led me into social care where I became a social worker for the Portuguese Red Cross. Upon my move to England, I began my career as a senior care assistant, navigating through various roles including team leader, field care supervisor, deputy manager to now manager at Greenbanks. It's more than just a job to me - it's a heartfelt commitment to creating a home where residents and staff become family and where every day is an opportunity to make a difference.
