Oak Lodge is an ‘Outstanding’ and award-winning care home combining 24-hour residential and nursing care with warm and friendly hospitality for up to 60 residents on a permanent and respite basis.

Purpose-built on the foundations of a country farm complex, within a beautiful 300-acre Hampshire countryside estate, Oak Lodge is a quintessentially British care home blending state-of-the-art facilities and stimulating environments with a homely atmosphere and family approach to person-centred care.

Residents enjoy beautiful farmland views from their luxury bedrooms equipped with ensuite facilities, spacious communal for entertaining and dining, glazed walkways, a dedicated activities room, hair salon and family room. Outside, a landscaped garden, quaint summer house, tranquil flower courtyard with water feature and a raised herb garden tended to by the residents’ gardening club, provide outdoor space for residents and their loved ones to enjoy.

A very clean, friendly, safe at Oak Lodge with plenty of activities and good food. The rooms are spacious enough to make it comfortable for the residents. The corridors are wide enabling easy movement. The location is quiet with no traffic allowing outside activities during the warmer months. Oakley
Hall is within walking distance and offers coffee mornings etc. Overall a very secure place with plenty of competent nursing and care staff. The management always keeps us informed if there are any issues.

I have found the home and staff to be hardworking and caring, almost without exception.
I have also got to know many of the residents, who again seem to be very happy at Oak Lodge.
It should also be said that great effort is made to keep everyone entertained and the atmosphere positive in sometimes
difficult circumstances.

The first thing I noticed when entering Oak Lodge was that everybody smiled and welcomed us. It was most reassuring for both my husband and myself after several dramatic months in hospital. The staff are very kind and caring and my husband has settled in well. All staff contribute in making residents
lives, as happy and comfortable as possible.

Set in beautiful countryside it is a joy to visit with exceptionally friendly staff who always provide a warm welcome. All the staff take the time to get to know the residents, and their family, as individuals and know their personal needs, likes and dislikes.


Exceptionally clean and comfortable

environment with lounge areas, dining room activity rooms as well as quieter areas to sit for a cup of tea and a chat.


Extremely spacious rooms which residents are able to add their own personal pictures, furniture and possessions giving a warm homely feel.

The staff at Oak Lodge have done a very good job of caring for my mum over the last 2 years. They have monitored her medical problems well and changed her medication when necessary.
They provide varied activities morning and afternoon 7 days a week which she can join in if she wants to. These help
to keep her occupied in a meaningful way.
The home is maintained well and the maintenance manager responds very quickly whenever I mention a problem with Mum's room.
Staff do a lovely job of displaying photos of the residents around the home and of decorating the home with a particular theme e.g. Autumn. Both help to give interest and topics of conversation.
It is a really nice place to visit because there are so many places you can sit and chat, outside and in. I often take Mum out for a walk in her wheelchair in the country estate where the home is located, something we both enjoy. There is also a family room we have used often to have a meal and gather together as a family which Mum has really enjoyed

My mother who has just died age 102 had been at this home for five years, initially when it was located at the side of the four-star Oakley Hall hotel and then transferred to the purpose-built/adapted Oak Lodge in the estate grounds.
The care has been exemplary the facilities are very good, constantly
changing themes/activities to provide stimulation for the residents. All the staff form a superb team, catering to a very high standard. Excellent nursing/GP care. Sensitive end of life care.

As always, lots of attention to detail has gone into transforming the interior and exterior of Oak Lodge for the festive season. Plenty of Christmas activities on offer as always and a genuine feeling of care and compassion. One would forget these residents have health issues, as the care provided is
given very professionally and respectfully. The Christmas raffle as always was very popular and the visit of a marching band to lift the spirits and provoke memories of days gone by. Other activities are provided daily throughout the year, but Christmas is always a poignant time of year, to see my Mum being cared for and enjoying these activities is wonderful. It really does feel like a special place to be. My family and I have always been made to feel very welcome and involved, as does everyone we have met here.

My husband has been a resident for 9 months and I have been extremely pleased with his loving care he has received during that time. His concerns are listened to and acted upon; when he is off-colour and nothing appeals to him, staff go to no end of trouble to find something he will enjoy and all our
family are made to feel very welcome when we visit him.


Christmas was amazing and although the thought of my dear husband going to a nursing home was very upsetting, the reality is I could have provided the level of loving care for him on my own.

Ever since my mother entered Oak Lodge four years ago, she has been saying how very happy she is there, how very good the staff are and how nothing is too much trouble for them. There are always many activities to join in with or social events to enjoy, but she most likes to meet visitors and talk to
other residents. She repeatedly says how many friends she has made and for her, it's like being part of a large family, with a room stuffed full of flowers and presents.
For us, visiting is like going to her own home too, where we make drinks in the guest kitchen, join her for lunch, take part in the parties and celebrations - the last was the Christmas day champagne reception, the next will be her birthday. The staff are like extended family to her and to us as well.
The home itself is always bright and cheerful, with beautiful decorations to celebrate changing seasons. It looks out on the lovely gardens, or fields with birds and deer, with plenty of places to sit out and enjoy either.

Dad has been in residence now for 3 months and seems very happy with all aspects of his care. His room is spotless and he seems well cared for. I never thought he would settle like he has and it has been a weight lifted off my shoulders.
Everyone at this home is so friendly, from the laundry to the
office staff and I couldn't have wished for better for my dad.

Always a pleasure to visit Oak Lodge Nursing Home to see our uncle who is well cared for. The atmosphere in the home is friendly and organised with decorations frequently changing in the communal areas to reflect the time of year and various events.
Noting is too much trouble for management and staff
and there are also various outings outside of the home organised, which must require a great deal of effort from the staff. It is a wonderful care home.

The environment is always clean and warm and special events are celebrated with decorations. The staff are helpful and show respect to the residents.There are a variety of activities available and personal carer e.g hair and nails are offered to residents.
I feel welcomed when I visit and can freely
talk about any information or advice with staff.
The home is beautifully set in really lovely grounds ideal for a walk out with a wheelchair.

Oak Lodge Nursing Home had an inspection is rated outstanding. (March '17). This to me speaks volumes about the home, the staff and the care for all residents, they deserved this rating. This home will take some beating for the location in the countryside and I believe that Oak Lodge Nursing Home is
one of the best around.
