Oak Lodge is an ‘Outstanding’ and award-winning care home combining 24-hour residential and nursing care with warm and friendly hospitality for up to 60 residents on a permanent and respite basis.

Purpose-built on the foundations of a country farm complex, within a beautiful 300-acre Hampshire countryside estate, Oak Lodge is a quintessentially British care home blending state-of-the-art facilities and stimulating environments with a homely atmosphere and family approach to person-centred care.

Residents enjoy beautiful farmland views from their luxury bedrooms equipped with ensuite facilities, spacious communal for entertaining and dining, glazed walkways, a dedicated activities room, hair salon and family room. Outside, a landscaped garden, quaint summer house, tranquil flower courtyard with water feature and a raised herb garden tended to by the residents’ gardening club, provide outdoor space for residents and their loved ones to enjoy.

My aunt has been at Oak Lodge Nursing Home for a year now: she moved in just before she turned 90 and became too frail to continue living alone at home. Oak Lodge Nursing Home wasn't our first choice (it initially had no vacancies) but we're very glad she was able to move. She has settled in, and I
know that the manager and her team look after her well. I no longer worry about my aunt, which is a relief because I live over an hour and a half drive away and have caring responsibilities at home which means it's hard for me to visit.


Communication isn't easy for us because my aunt is too deaf to talk on the phone - and this is perhaps something Oak Lodge Nursing Home could think about. My aunt and I are lucky that she has a good friend who visits regularly, so I know that my aunt is well and in good hands: she helps us to stay in touch too, and this is really important to both of us.

As a family, we know our 93-year-old mother is in the best place to be looked after in her senior years. I pop in to see her 2/3 times a week and on every occasion, I am struck with how caring and friendly the whole team of staff and management are.

My father has been resident in Oak Lodge for nearly 3 years. He is extremely well looked after, the staff are always friendly with a smile and nothing is too much trouble. Standards of cleanliness, food, laundry together with personal care cannot, in my opinion, be faulted and always of a high standard.
The staff at Oak Lodge go above and beyond with daily activities/entertainment. There always seems to be an excuse for a celebration not limited to Easter, Halloween, Christmas etc. Spring, summer, Queen's birthday and much more warrant a celebration. :)

I am a carer for an elderly friend and her Power of Attorney. She has been a resident at Oak Lodge for over six years. The care is excellent, the kindness, respect and dignity is shown at all times. It is the only care home I should want her in. Oak Lodge is the best and only nursing home I would recommend.

My mother spent the last six months of her life in Oak Lodge, I do not think we could have found a better place for her. The residents are treated as individuals and their individual needs are catered for in every possible way.
The standard of cleanliness is excellent, whenever you visit, the home
smells fresh and clean.
All staff treated my mum with care and respect, spending time with her whenever they could. They were all like an extension of our family.
She was very happy here right up to the last moments of her life.

ALL the staff offer exceptional levels of care and have an abundance of patience in what can be very difficult circumstances. The fabric of the accommodation is first class with a terrific eye for detail. Meals and activities are imaginative and very resident centric.

The whole team are extremely pleasant, caring, friendly, helpful, nothing was too much trouble.
The food was very good, plenty of variety made sure they know likes and dislikes of the resident.
Plenty of activities for residents who are encouraged to join in - gardening, quizzes, singing, crafts and
entertainers from singers to Morris dancers.
There are displays for annual events Easter, Christmas, Valentines, Wimbledon, Olympics, May Day and plenty more.
They have a Summer Fete, Christmas Bazaar.
My family and I were extremely lucky that Dad's final months were spent in such a safe and caring home.

Although Mum often asks to be somewhere else I know that when I am not there she joins in with various activities and really enjoys the quiz sessions. The home is always exceptionally clean and tidy and whenever I have to call for assistance to take Mum to the bathroom she does not have a very long
wait before someone is there. All the staff are very friendly to Mum and her family and I can see that she is treated with dignity and respect.

The home is situated in a very tranquil position surrounded by beautiful countryside. The staff are always welcoming, caring and very friendly and nothing seems to be too much trouble; everything is done with a smile on their face. My mother-in-law has been a resident for 6 months and has settled in
really well. She will be 102 next month; she spent 6 weeks in hospital with a severe chest infection during last winter. When she was discharged in January, she looked every year her age, but after 6 months at Oak Lodge with lots of tender loving care she has gone from strength to strength and is very happy. There are lots of events organised and the activities room is well used. I am so pleased that we found this place as it has really put our minds at rest that she is so well cared for. She even has her hair done weekly, which makes such a difference!

I carefully consider each of their likes and dislikes and enjoy seeing empty plates and well-nourished residents.
