Pax Hill is care home set in nine acres of gardens in the picturesque village of Bentley on the border between Surrey and Hampshire. Every room in this unusual circular building has views of the surrounding countryside or central courtyard through low level picture windows.

Each bedroom has large en-suite shower rooms with wheelchair access, electric profiling beds, flat screen television, telephone and access to a broadband internet connection.

Nursing and care staff are on duty 24 hours a day to provide help whatever your care requirements.

Separate, self-contained care areas enable them to provide different types of care and to enable residents to feel comfortable with their surroundings.

Professionals provide general nursing care, palliative care, nursing care for dementia and residential care.

Activity therapists provide a social calendar of events and support to encourage communication and maintenance of an active lifestyle. Alternatively, the gardens provide the perfect place for tranquillity and a spot of gardening.

They are happy to offer respite and short-term care for a few days to a few weeks to cover post-operative recuperation, carers holidays and breaks, or trial visits to see if care home life is suitable for you.

My mother has been a resident for nearly a month and we are so pleased with the kind and supportive way the team at Pax is caring for her. She is catered for with lovely food, activities, events, health and well-being care. It is all done with respect but her safety and dignity are paramount.

The staff at Pax Hill are kind, caring and considerate towards my mother-in-law. They show good humour in their working day and are very patient. Nothing is too much trouble. The bedroom is very tidy and clean, with an ensuite with various apparatus added for my mother-in-law's needs. The surroundings
and gardens are well-kept. It's clear she is very well cared for by compassionate and caring staff, who are warm, chatty and empathetic.

My uncle passed away after living at Pax Hill Care Home for two years. It was with some trepidation that my cousin decided on full-time care for my uncle but we can honestly say that for the entire time that he lived here, he appeared happy, stimulated, well cared for and always well turned out.
My
mum and I were so impressed with the care and compassion that he was shown by all of the staff and how well the family were supported in my uncle's last few days.
Thank you so much for looking after a very special person.

I first joined Pax Hill Care Home as a respite care user on February 2nd 2024, on discharge from hospital and right from my first introduction to one of the fun activities, have felt happy and secure here. To such an extent, have decided to become a resident. Set in beautiful surroundings, with delicious
food and a friendly atmosphere, it seemed the place for me.

I highly recommend Pax Hill, based on my experience of 2 months of care for my Mum. Each time I visited, I found it to be excellent. The Windsor nursing staff were always warm and friendly, regularly giving time to talk me and other visitors through the situation as Mum's end of life care progressed.
My mum was treated with respect and dignity during her time there. The nurses' priority was to keep her happy, comfortable and pain-free. Everyone was kind and caring: It was possible for us to personalise the freshly painted room - incl. with favourite paintings on the walls - so that it felt like home. It was also quiet in the room with a lovely view out over the courtyard (lit with garden lights in the evenings). Lots of activities were advertised, and the common room had lots of films, books, and CDs. When Mum passed away, the nursing and care team gave us excellent guidance and emotional support, and have been warm and friendly with time to talk when we've been back since.

My wife was admitted in late 2023 from hospital for palliative end-of-life nursing case.
She passed away in Jan 2024. I am grateful to all of the staff at Pax Hill Care Home for the exceptionally professional and loving care given to my wife during her short 2-month stay. Nothing was too much trouble
and she was treated with respect and loving care making her happy, comfortable and pain-free right to the end of her life. I can't emphasise enough how pleased I am with the warm reception we were given right from our very first visit by the reception and all the staff prior to and then during my wife's short stay until she passed away.

The staff and facilities are simply outstanding. My beautiful mum was a resident on the Windsor floor for over two months, and we are so thankful she was in the loveliest place possible and received the very best end-of-life care from a wonderful team. We always received a warm and friendly welcome.
All staff are truly exceptional, from receptionists, resident liaisons, nursing teams and carers to domestic help, handyman and activity coordinator. Everyone was kind and caring and had so much time for my lovely mum and our whole family - nothing was too much trouble. It felt like a family, and my mum was treated with the utmost respect and dignity during her time there. The nurses kept my mum happy, comfortable and pain-free, and this was their priority. Each room is decorated and personalised, so it feels like home. When my mum sadly passed away, the nursing and care team gave us the guidance, love, emotional support and privacy we needed. We highly recommend Pax Hill to care for your loved ones.

My mother has been in Pax Hill (nursing home) following a stroke and requires 24/7 care. I have been extremely impressed with every aspect of her care and treatment. Over the past five months, I have come to know all the care staff, and more importantly, so has my mother, and it feels more like extended
family and friends looking after her - so much better than with changing agency workers. I'm able to visit whenever I want and for as long as I want with family and friends and even pets.

My mum was cared for by the Pax Hill team for just under two years. She has advanced Parkinson's. Words cannot convert how wonderful the team were. They offered the best possible care, love, medical assistance and personal support. There is no doubt in my mind that Pax Hill was the perfect home for
her, and I am immensely grateful to all the staff and residents for all they did for her.

We feel that my father is in the best place. Pax Hill is excellent, we feel as though we are part of a caring and kind family. Every member of staff we have met, during my father's 10-month stay, has been so kind and helpful. Everyone from the front of house staff, carers, nurses, cleaners, the handyman,
the chef and his team to the bus drivers and gardeners have been very friendly and helpful. My father's medical care is excellent, his room is spotless and comfortable and he is very happy and safe.

I have felt welcomed every time I visited my husband. The carers and nursing staff were brilliant with my husband and made him comfortable through his pain and discomfort. He doesn't feel lonely now he is in his bedroom all the time as somebody is always popping in to chat with him.

Not a lot of information was given at the start of residency for my brother and me to understand the home. Meals served are generally very good but not always serviced hot, which is unappetising when trying to encourage eating. Medial care sometimes needs prompting for doctor visitor appointments. The
bed is not always made for the resident's comfort. Given a choice of room before residency then told it wasn't available - disappointing! Not always any follow-up after residency is taken up.

New residents are provided with a welcome pack which contains information about life at Pax Hill. This usually covers most client's questions. Pax Hill has a dedicated specialist practitioner attached to our GP's surgery who visits weekly, and residents' medical needs are usually attended to in a timely manner. Pax Hill's resident liaison is available most days to assist with any concerns, and care/nursing staff are available seven days a week, 24 hours a day for residents, family and friends to talk to.

We were made very welcome. My husband has been well looked after. He enjoyed the food. The staff have been very kind and gentle. He has enjoyed the activities. He has had two weeks here in the Balmoral unit after having a hip replacement. Everyone is very friendly. It is good to know there is a trained
nurse on duty.

Outstanding care. Welcoming and knowledgeable team. Excellent food which makes my Dad happy! There is genuine concern for the resident and excellent communication with the family. You get to know the experts who are caring for your family member and they genuinely care. Brilliant team on reception,
always feel very welcome. Recently relations visited and accommodation was made for all of us in the garden and tea and biscuits. My father was delighted and proud of his surroundings. I can't recommend Pax Hill Care Home enough.

My father has been a resident of Balmoral at Pax Hill since early autumn. I can not stress how exception the care has been.
From the moment you walk through the main doors you are greeted by a smiling face, given help and advice whenever needed. My father is really enjoying the amazing creative activities,
making new friends with residents and staff. His personal needs are met with respect and dignity. His room is always beautifully clean. Enjoys his meals. I have high praise for the level of care and compassion shown to my father. Wonderful care - thank you everyone.
