My father had severe dementia and multiple myeloma - he and our family were treated with the utmost respect and dignity - especially during his last few days.
Dad always looked clean and well cared for, the home is spotless and the staff friendly and attentive.

My husband came to this care home with advanced dementia and Myeloma. From the first day, I could see how clean and happy the residents and home was. It was a very friendly and relaxed as a home should be. The staff were always alert to any needs the residents and my husband needed. He was treated with
dignity and care until his death.

My dad spent a month at Ranvilles and died there in October 2019. I cannot fault it without exception. The staff were respectful, caring and compassionate. We were kept informed of any changes in his condition and in the 48 hours before his death, he was treated with great dignity. Ranvilles is clean
and comfortable, the food was appetising and the garden lovely. As of October 2019, the CQC rates Ranvilles as inadequate do not trust CQC! Ranvilles is excellent and I recommend it.

Ranvilles were an excellent home for my mother. The staff, admin, carers, nurses and other staff were one hundred per cent. When visiting Mum I know other residents were in the same condition, however it was really nice to visit the home. All the residents seemed to understand what was going on and
they were very friendly. It opened my eyes to what goes on with dementia patients. Good luck to the home in the future and thanks for caring for my mother. Telephone calls from the home to me were excellent when things went wrong.

My wife has been a resident at Ranvilles for nearly four years and our family believe she is receiving some of the best care available. I visit her almost every day and both staff and management show a great respect and consideration for both residents and relatives.

Ranvilles is a pleasant secure residential home that affords my father a good quality of life. The vast majority of the staff are pleasant, amicable and treat my father with dignity and respect showing genuine care and professionalism in their job. I was wary about care homes in general but Ranvilles
is a great place to reside.

Overall, I am totally satisfied with the love and care my husband is receiving. However, on occasion, he hasn't been shaved and appears unkempt. The carers and nursing staff are very caring and loving although recently have noticed an increased change of staff other than the strong consistent core of
carers.
Something needs to be done about the occasional overpowering smell which is very unpleasant.

It puts my mind at rest knowing my relative is safe and has round the clock nursing care.
The management team, nurses and carers are all approachable as are the rest of the staff and they work well together.

My mother was a resident at Ranvills for about 3 years suffering from Dementia. Her treatment and care was wonderful. She was treated with dignity and great care and love. We the family were most impressed with the care she received and thank the staff for it.

I would urge anyone going to view Ranvilles to ignore the slightly shabby furniture and to sit, watch and listen for 10 minutes or so. You will see and hear real care in action along with a miriad of cleaning staff passing through, you will not smell the sometimes all to familiar odours of a care home.
All residents are treated with the utmost care, dignity and respect no matter how severe the stage of dementia. You will receive greetings from all who pass by along with offers of cups of tea. Sadly my father passed away after only a month. The final stage of his life could not have been dealt with better, all staff would use his name at all times and explain to him what they were doing and why and he was dealt with in a kind and very gentle manner. In his final few days I stayed in his room with him, I was given a mattress to lie on and was kept supplied with a constant flow of tea, food and support 24/7. The kindness of the staff is beyond compare and I thank them all

George Kopinski

Job Title: Care Assistant and Dignity Champion

George has a happy nature and works alongside the manager and the deputies, ensuring that personal care and dignity is done to the upmost for all our service users. As well as dignity champions, George works alongside the rest of the staff and will help new care assistants when coming into the home, nothing is to much for him. George has obtained his NVQ in level 2 in care and has attended a string of different types of training.

Debbie Mills

Job Title: Registerd Manager

Debbie Mills - As a registered manager, her philosophy is based on; that the service users are treated as individuals, dignity and respect is kept at all times, and that the service users are happy in and around their surroundings. At times you question yourself 'are we doing everything we can for the service users to have good quality of life'. The service user will always comes first, their comfort and happiness is of the utmost importance. Debbie has been at Ranvilles since 2001, when she first came in as a RN, over the last 12 yeas became deputy manager and for the last 5 years has been the Registered Manager. In her role as the manager she has overall responsibility for the smooth running of the home, the management of staff, meeting CQC regulations and ensuring that audits and training are done. She has as open door policy for all relatives and staff. Debbie has a string of qualifications including registered managers award level 5 and in 2011 won manager of the year for Ranvilles.

Sue Turnbull

Job Title: Admin Manager

Joined: 1989

Sue has worked at Ranvilles since 1989, where she first worked as a senior care assistant, and has been been working as head of administration since 1996. She can be seen daily typing clinical notes for the RN's, reports for the management and at times consoling a confused relative over monetary matters relating to their relative. Sue will always put the service users welfare first and will ensure they are recieving all the entitlements that are due to them. Sue works closley with Debbie the manager, and the director of operations. Sue has obtained NVQ's in levels 2, 3 & 5 in Management and attends regular training sesions relating to the home.

Nimal Valsan

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Joined: 2011

As a deputy manager, Nimal works alongside the manager and the other deputy/clinical lead ensuring the smooth running of the home. Nimal has worked at Ranvilles since 2011 as a RN and became a duputy manager in 2012. Nimal is at present doing his his NVQ level 5 in care and continues to do his training. Nimal always has a smile and supports the other members of staff at all times in their roles, and he is always on hand for the service users and relatives.

Leni Zacharia

Job Title: Deputy Manager and Clinical Lead

Joined: 2002

As deputy manager and clinical lead it is Leni's role to make sure all clinical issues are up and running and audited on a regualr basis, she is also the deputy manager and works alongside the registered manager to ensure the smooth running of the home. Leni has worked at Ranvilles since 2002 where she came over from India as a RN to do her adaptation course, once completed she worked as an RN and became the deputy in 2009. Leni has a string of qualifications, registered nurse - general, registered managers award level 5, numerous training in tissue viability. Leni has a happy nature,supports all the staff, trained and untrained and also trains the staff in tissue viability. Leni has a good rapport with all the service users and their relatives and is always there for them.
