I moved here from a sheltered home in London. Everyone here is so kind and I feel wanted. The food is excellent.

I have always been welcomed by the staff when visiting and treated with respect. The staff are cheerful and friendly. The care was managed very well at the end of life and every comfort was available. The resident was entirely satisfied with the help he was given.

The staff are very welcoming always happy to have a chat even the chefs. Always clean and tidy. If anything wasn't right that was upsetting to my mum they will do their utmost to sort.
They has a lovely fayre recently and was thoroughly enjoyed.

My Aunt has been warmly welcomed into this care home and very quickly said she wouldn't want to go back to her old home. All staff are friendly, have helped her settle in, they ensure that she eats well, and encourage her to join activities. Her friends were happy to visit too as they weren't sure what

Cedar Lawn is a very caring home and has a real family atmosphere. The food is all cooked on-site and they cater to all needs. Currently, there is a lack of outings due to a minibus not being available - this needs to be sorted. It will make such a difference to the residents to be able to go offsite.
The
carers are always friendly and listen to any concerns. When visiting I am always made to feel welcome. I feel that the organized activities are fun and interactive.
They do their best for all the residents.

The staff are caring and provide care and emotional support which has made the transition from home to Cedar Lawn much easier than I expected.

My sister was cared for at Cedar Lawn from the 9th of February after her discharge from the hospital. The manager and her team looked after her extremely well. The food was excellent, the staff caring and attentive and she was very comfortable there. Having seen several nursing homes over the years
Cedar Lawn is one of the best I have been to.

Cedar Lawn Nursing Home was so much the perfect place for our mum. She wasn’t in a good place when she arrived there and was on the decline. Sadly, within two weeks she passed away, but during her short time there the care, compassion, professionalism, and respect shown to her by every single member
of staff was first class. From the manager and her assistant, the lead nurse and her staff, the carers, the auxiliaries, through to the cook, the maintenance guys, every one of them were kind, thoughtful and considerate in their approach to their roles. Thank you Cedar Lawn for making Mum so comfortable and cared for in her final days. My sister and I, and our families, are so grateful to you, hopefully from this you can work out who we are!

My mother moved into Cedar Lawn nursing home during covid restrictions but settled quickly because the staff are kind and thoughtful. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated and mother’s room has big windows overlooking the lawn. The Chef cooks meals which are always freshly cooked and appetising and
the residents eat together in the dining room. The nursing staff deliver excellent care and I am informed immediately of any medical issues. The activities coordinator provides a cheerful atmosphere with creative activities which are ability appropriate, this is key to keeping residents engaged and mentally active and is a difficult task with a group of elderly residents who have different levels of physical and mental capacity. The activities room is airy with plenty of light and space to store craft materials. I am always made to feel welcome and many of the staff have worked there for several years as there is a happy family atmosphere where people care about each other.

Cedar Lawn is a lovely and caring home, and my aunt is settling in well. She found it strange initially to be away from home, but the staff could not have been kinder. Her room is lovely, but it is the staff who make the home so special; they are all so friendly and caring. Various events have been
arranged with lots of thought to make them special.
And finally, the food is amazing! The chef prepares restaurant-quality food and bakes the most beautiful cakes. I am very happy with the care provided at Cedar Lawn.

My uncle was transferred to Cedar Lawn following a fall and surgery for a broken hip. Staff could not have been more helpful; an assessment visit was arranged immediately and a room made available pending his transfer. A potentially very stressful situation was managed to perfection. Staff were always
very accommodating and welcoming, with some going above and beyond to provide companionship, enrichment and care.

My husband has COPD, bladder cancer, kidneys have packed up, he is 81 and was taken into hospital on the last day in May. He is at end-of-life and I thought I would always have him at home but things escalated and the doctor told me I couldn't manage anymore at home. He hates being at Cedar Lawn but
this is not a fault of them, they have done all they can in every way but it's not home. Security is good but no money is left there. Activities, he is just in bed but I can see the staff do their utmost.

My mum became a resident at Cedar Lawn Nursing Home in January 2023 following a hip fracture. From my first phone call and visit, I felt a very friendly, helpful and warm welcome from all the team. I have had excellent feedback on how Mum has settled in. Questions and issues raised have been dealt with
promptly and efficiently.

In my opinion, Cedar Lawn Nursing Home far exceeds my expectations. We were shown around the nursing home by a delightful young lady. It became very apparent this would be the perfect home for Mum - I am delighted with the care Mum is receiving. The staff are always very cheerful, caring and compassionate
- there are lots of activities going on and outings to look forward to - there's always such a happy atmosphere in the home. Mum looks forward to her mealtimes as the food is excellent. Bianca Giurca

Job Title: Registered Manager

Joined: 2019

After Bianca qualified as a nurse in Romania in 2000, her passion for helping others saw her seeking a career in community nursing care. To achieve and further this ambition, she moved to England in 2005, working as a nurse in a care home.


Having joined in Cedar Lawn in 2019, she is now in 2022 the Registered Manager. Bianca loves the warm, welcoming atmosphere and delights in the joy that the staff team bring to residents.


Izzy

Izzy Spears

Job Title: Administrator

Joined: 2011

Izzy began working at Cedar Lawn in the domestic team in 2011 and worked in many of the other departments over the years, before settling into the role of Administrator in 2022.


After initially assisting home manager Bianca with some small admin tasks during the Covid period. Izzy soon realised that the administrator role suited her skills much more than anything else she had done at Cedar Lawn. Izzy particularly enjoys helping others and getting to know the residents more. Being part of a supportive team who all work together to ensure Cedar Lawn is a happy home is another bonus in her current role, so when the opportunity to move into the administrator role permanently came up it was the obvious next step in her career and she has gone on to flourish in the role.


Izzy has proved herself to be an invaluable member of the team, always there to support not just their residents but also their families and friends and other members of the Cedar Lawn Team
In her spare time.


Izzy loves to travel and visit new countries whenever possible, enjoying the different cultures and cuisines, Izzy also loves spending time with her family, especially her nephews

Jacqueline Smith

Job Title: Regional Manager South

Joined: 2023

Working for eleven years as a Social Worker and Team Manager in Adult Services, Jacqueline relished supporting care providers with their safeguarding, quality and compliance requirements. Based on this experience, she then sought a move into working with a residential care provider. Jacqueline approached Allegra Care first, as she felt that the company’s values, care principles and household model aligned very closely with her own vision of what good care should look like. After working for 14 years as a renal nurse specialist, Jacqui changed her career to be around more for her young children. Her wide-ranging experience since then encompasses a number of rewarding positions across a variety of sectors, including team leader for Jobsite; Southern Team manager for Westfield Health; management for a specialist lender helping people rebuild their credit profile and, most recently, moving into the elderly care sector with Barchester, for whom she worked in community awareness and fundraising.
