I would like to thank all the staff at Steep House for the care of my father. I cannot thank you enough for making me feel at peace with Dad in your care, he was always clean and happy, and the staff were amazing and always happy and welcoming from the receptionist to the doctors, managers, and especially
the lovely Nurses who work so hard, the standards are very high, and it is good to see there was no change of staff in the 14 months my dad was there which says a happy team and treated really well, they are like one big amazing family. Would highly recommend this Care Home to anyone. Many, many thanks.

"I love it here," Mum used to say, "There's always laughter."
I cannot thank the staff of Steep House enough for their tireless care, for their dedication, warmth, their unfailing humour, and for the genuine happiness they brought to Mum in her final years. The compassion, kindness, and understanding
she received throughout her four-year residency at Steep House were exemplary. There is such love here. In her final months and weeks, every aspect of Mum's end-of-life care was managed with great sensitivity. Her sad passing was peaceful and dignified. A massive thank you to all the staff at Steep House for looking after my late mum. From reception to housekeeping, carers to nurses, activity team, and managers, they were so kind to my mum, and to me. The amazing level of care given was more than we could have asked for. There was always laughter
and a listening ear. It is not an all-singing, all-dancing nursing home, it doesn't need to be, because it is full of kindness, laughter and compassion. I would recommend Steep House without hesitation.

I would like to say Steep House staff were so kind & caring towards my father-in-law. They made a very difficult time for us, easier to bear, knowing he was being so well looked after. My Dad has spent his last 16 months in Steep House. It was difficult for the family to see him go into a care home due to his dementia but he could not have been placed into better hands and has been looked after so well right up to the end. The whole team have provided such caring and professional
support. In his final days, they could not have done more to support my family and went out of their way to help us all. Friendly greetings, wonderful activities, great food and the best housekeeping. They are one amazing team of people who could not do enough for us and we are so grateful that Dad was placed with you. I would highly recommend this home to other any other families in our situation.

I would like to thank all at Steep House Nursing Home for making my uncle's life so safe and structured during his last months. He benefited so much from the routine that you put in place, entertainment provided, the absolute care he was given by everyone. My uncle previously lived on his own and during
his life was such a social man, so the company provided was so important, not being on his own for long periods every day, I am sure this extended his life and made it so much better. I would like to thank the lifestyle ladies and the lovely receptionist. The fact that staff came to see him and say goodbye before they left work on his last day, will always stay with me, it showed how much he was loved and cared for. The senior nurse, such a kind gentleman, was there to care in the last hours with us. I would absolutely recommend Steep House to anyone, I am in awe of how you all manage to care constantly, knowing that you are so often part of someone’s last journey. Thank you all so much.

My mum, who was 91, spent 7 months at Steep House, after breaking her ankle at home, until she sadly died last month. During that time she was looked after by all the staff with great care and most importantly dignity. All the staff could not have done more to help us as a family through this difficult
time. From the lady in reception for fielding the endless phone calls from us all, the ladies in managing everything about her care, including numerous trips to the hospital for updates on her leg, and all the nurses and carers who showed her such kindness and consideration during a really difficult time in her life. I cannot thank you all enough.

My experience with Steep House has been totally positive since the day she went in. Mum had dementia, but the care and compassion shown to her at all times was amazing. Mum passed away on the 5th of November, but the care and love shown to us before and after was humbling. I'd like to mention the lifestyle
assistant, who went above and beyond to look after us, nothing was too much trouble. We could spend time with Mum after and weren't put under any pressure to leave. Mum looked on the staff as her second family and she loved them all and I know they loved her too. Many thanks.

My mum moved in on the day we lost our dad. She had Alzheimer’s and it felt like we had lost both parents, she moved in during COVID. The staff kept us updated at all times and my mum was happy in her last few years. Everybody was very professional and caring at all times. Thank you.

My mum has been at Steep House for around three years now, so I am able to give a good rounded out review of the staff and overall service provided at Steep House.
I have to say that during the whole time Mum has been staying at Steep House, even during the Covid Pandemic, that Mum's care has been
nothing short of fantastic!
The management has been very fair and also kept my sister and myself informed of any changes or events or any concerns about Mum's welfare and health. All the staff provide a fantastic level of care, whether in caring for my Mum's health needs or in the entertainment and the team of 'Mr Fixits' that keep everything working properly and looking good! And not forgetting the good food provided and the lovely lady staff member who welcomes you!
It is like an extended family for us and Mum and I want to say a massive thank you to everyone. So thank you very much again for all your care, love, support and and hard work! I will be booking my room soon!

My mum is very settled and happy at Steep House. She is looked after so well by all her carers and we cannot thank them enough! Mum’s care needs are quite considerable but nothing is too much trouble. Everyone is so caring and considerate, going the extra mile to help her. She loves her room and the

Whenever I visited my friend, she was kept clean and comfortable, in a nice room with own toilet. The staff have always been friendly and welcoming, especially the lady who regularly mans the reception. There is always a wide range of activities on offer for those wishing to take part.

I have a physical injury and am extremely well looked after at Steep House. Indeed, I consider myself most fortunate to be here.
The management, nursing, administrative and care personnel are efficient, professional and attentive. A particular strength lies in the multinational makeup of high-quality
and competent staff members, resulting in a pleasing, friendly and caring atmosphere where nothing is too much trouble. This prevailing affection, created and maintained by these good people, is heartening to me and assuredly to other residents, let alone their guests.
Better segregation from occasional disturbances caused by residents with dementia would be appreciated if this is possible, if the problems become acute action is taken. A GP visits weekly and medication is strictly controlled by the reliable nursing staff. Food is first class with kitchen staff very willing to cater for individual preferences.
Accommodation standards are good, rooms are thoroughly cleaned and waste baskets are emptied regularly. Highly recommended.

I would like to commend all the staff at Steep House for the fantastic compassion, care, and support they provided my mother over just a few months when she transferred from a former residential care home following a fall to a hospital and then to Steep House Nursing Home as her Alzheimers/Dementia
had worsened and her nursing and care needs considerably increased. Mum was taken in at short notice and though quite unwell, was treated tirelessly by all staff and carers with kindness, dignity, and respect, and we were kept suitably informed of her condition each and every day. Sadly the outcome was inevitable, if sooner than we thought, but we did get to spend Mum’s last hours with her as she passed away comfortably and peacefully in the lovely surroundings of Steep House. It is difficult to express our gratitude to all the kind and generous staff who did their best to keep Mum well and nourished and maintain as good a quality of life as someone in her condition could enjoy. Thank you.

Having been a resident suffering from dementia for almost five years, our mother was so well looked after, and she considered this her home. We knew from the first welcome when looking at Steep House that this was the right place for her.
All the staff are absolutely wonderful, and whether it's the
carers, nursing team, support staff and management, everyone takes responsibility and really does care. It can be a troubling environment at times, but we had complete confidence in the way that she was looked after, and she struck up some real connections and friendships with the team there.
A special mention to one lady who was always warming and friendly at reception, another lady who was continually cheerful and motivating with all the activities, and the manager who kept us updated, managed and guided us through the various challenges. There are plenty of other team members that stand out and are so caring and helpful.
We will always be so grateful to all at Steep House; thank you.

I have been working with the Future Care Group since 2014. I trained and qualified as a nurse before moving to management. With my background in management & health and social care, I have worked at strategic levels to ensure that high standard of care is delivered across our home. I work closely with residents’ family and friends as well as ensure that care is delivered on an individualised level. I enjoy working at Steep House in particular because the team we have is so dedicated and caring which makes me a proud Manager.


I describe myself as honest, cheerful, caring and I take pride in making the residents at Steep House happy. I enjoy listening to residents’ needs and seeing them smile and laugh is the most rewarding part of my job! I take pride in leading the team. I have a strong conviction that each resident should have the opportunity to live their life as they wish to.

I chose to be a team member because of a friendly and caring nature of the home. I have quality and leadership skills; I am highly focused on providing the best possible care for my residents. I am a Qualified Nurse with 8 years of experience in hospital and Nursing home settings. I started my career with LRH as a nurse in 2011 and was promoted as the head of care in 2015.

I was also serving in the Army for 17 years. My last eight years were spent on Thorney Island where I gained most of my experience in all sorts of maintenance. I am a very caring and hardworking person, who will give 100% on a daily basis to ensure that our residents are in a safe and compliant environment.

I started working in the care industry 8 years ago, looking after people in their own homes. I found that the part of the job I enjoyed most was the interactions with the elderly. I worked as a carer at Steep House for a couple of years before taking on Lifestyle Lead’s role. Being a Lifestyle Lead allows me to spend time talking and interacting with the residents, providing them with as much variety and entertainment in their daily lives as possible, as well as giving them someone to talk to when they need it.


My family and I live at a local school where my husband teaches. I have two children aged 19 and 22 and two small dogs. I love music (I play piano and guitar), doing jigsaw puzzles and spending time with family and friends.

My dedication extends beyond the kitchen, and at home, I’m kept busy by my wonderful husband and three children—a daughter and twin boys.


Food holds a special place in my heart, and I’m passionate about it both personally and professionally. In my free time, I indulge in my love for baking and creating delicious Asian dishes. Interestingly, I also learned to cook English dishes from my talented mother-in-law.

Job Title: Head of Housekeeping

I have been working at Steep House for 10 years. I started as a Housekeeper and I got promoted to Head of Housekeeping in 2019.


The best part of my role is making sure the home is kept clean.


My role is important because I oversee the smooth running of the housekeeping and laundry departments. I also make sure our residents live in a clean, comfortable and safe environment.


We have had many compliments on how nice the home looks and how good it smells. I take great pride in my job as it is very important the residents feel that their home is kept clean and safe.
