I was delighted when my mother was accepted into the Bluebell Nursing Home as the home had been recommended to me by friends. My mother's needs are complex and the home really makes an effort to accommodate them. The nursing and care staff are professional, kind, and generous with their time, and the
management is proactive as well as being open to suggestions. The home makes a particular effort during high days and holidays putting on special events and treats at mealtimes, which make a big difference to the well-being of the residents, particularly during the lockdowns in the past year. My anxiety about my mother's day-to-day wellbeing have been taken care of - I no longer have to worry, for example, about my mother not taking her medication or about her falling or needing support in the night etc. Highly recommended.

Mum was a resident at the Bluebell Nursing home for just over two years, and during this time she received nothing but excellent care from the nursing and care staff. Their professional approach during the lockdown was second to none and their communication over this period made us confident that she

I cannot rate Bluebell highly enough. The care given to my late Father was exceptional. Every member of staff gave 100% to make sure Dad's needs were met. The understanding, care, support and dignity shown to Dad in his last days was amazing. Also the support to all us family was way beyond anything
you could expect. We were provided with food and drinks constantly and supported throughout Dad's final days. We will be eternally grateful to them all. All the staff should be congratulated on the exceptional job they do.

From day one, everyone at Bluebell has been very supportive and attentive to dad's needs.

My husband has been living in the Bluebell Nursing Home since 18th June 2018. He suffers from a form of Dementia. He does not speak and cannot move. He is completely dependent on the staff who look after him. He is fed, watered, changed and cared for daily.
the carers have a very strict routine, which
they adhere to when dealing with patients personal care and maintenance.
The patient's families are made to feel so welcome and are encouraged to join in and feel at home. All who are employed here work together to create a very happy home.
They say that 'laughter' is one of the great medicines - there is plenty of that in the Bluebell.

I first visited Bluebell Nursing Home 5 yrs ago when a loved one was here until she passed away and now am regularly visiting her sister. I visit different times of the day 2-3 times per week and can't fault the care the residents get or the cleanliness and home cooked meals are excellent. I would recommend
this home (and have already) to anyone needing a home for their loved one. I pray I won't need to go into care but my family know it must be Bluebell Nursing Home if needed.

Thank heavens for first impressions! We visited and assessed 6 nursing homes in a short space of time. Bluebell Nursing Home was our first visit and we were immediately impressed by everything we saw and were told. The home is bright and spotlessly clean. Selecting Bluebell for dad’s care was an easy
decision, and proved to be the best decision we could have made. Bluebell Management responded to our emails immediately, were always available to respond to our telephone calls, and enabled a FaceTime link so that whilst Dad had lost the ability to communicate, we could see him and know all was well. A fabulous rapport was established between Bluebell Management and ourselves bridging the gap of thousands of miles from our home in Canada. From a nursing perspective, Dad was in superb hands. Both Nursing, Care and Domestic Staff provided a very high level of care in difficult circumstances, whilst always giving Dad the respect his age deserved. Bluebell are simply the best!

My Aunt moved into Bluebell Care Home two months ago. I have nothing but the highest praise for the wonderful staff; they're kind, caring and thoughtful, always on hand and willing to go out of their way to offer help when needed. The home is clean and the food excellent. It is with the greatest reluctance
that my Aunt has to move on. I know that both she and I will miss everyone at the home without whose support over the past two months life would have been even more difficult. Thank you, everyone. I would not hesitate to recommend Bluebell Care Home.

My mother moved to Bluebell about eight weeks ago. The management and staff have worked with the family to get to know Mum and treat her needs. I have found all the staff to be kind and supportive. This is a family run business close to the beach. The building is an old one but this gives it character.
Families are always welcome as are children and pets.
Mum is always well cared for. Mum tells us that all the staff are very kind.
The meals are lovely and well presented with choice offered if Mum doesn’t like the main meal. There is a relatives kitchen to make drinks and residents have a snack bowl in their room. This is lovely as it allows residents to offer visitors something as well as having snacks for themselves.
I would recommend this home.

Mum has been a resident at this home since last March and has settled in very well. We have no concerns or complaints and neither has Mum. We can relax knowing that she is in safe hands and is happy.

Mum moved into Bluebell after a long hospital admission and made to feel so very welcome. All the staff are kind, helpful and go above and beyond what is expected of them. Mum has settled so well and enjoys Bluebell greatly. She says how wonderful the food is and how well she is looked after.

Hugely overpriced, care needs are mostly met but seem short staffed for complete care. Residents should take part in more activities rather than left in bed.

My father in law was diagnosed with terminal cancer in October 2016. He went into Bluebells at the beginning of April 2017, as he could no longer look after himself and was bed bound. The family and I cannot thank the Company Director, Matron, Operations Manager, and every member of staff enough,
they all went above and beyond to look after Dad.
Dad was made to feel at home from the first moment he arrived until his last day. Nothing was an issue. I can say it was like home from home. We didn't have to worry as a family, as we knew when we had to go home he was in safe hands, being given 100% professional, helpful care 24/7. It was great to see Dad smile even though he was in pain, he was happy as he could be. I love that Bluebells organised lots of events for residents and families. I cannot recommend Bluebells enough. When I was looking around at the beginning it was so hard to choose a home for a loved one, but I'm so glad that Bluebells helped and agreed to look after our dad, husband, grandfather.

My husband has been a resident at Bluebell for two years. The care he has been given over this time is excellent. All his personal needs are catered for in a very caring and dignified way. All the staff from management to care workers are professional, friendly, supportive and caring.
The food is excellent.
My husband is very happy at Bluebell.
I would highly recommend this nursing home and actually have. The Bluebell is one 'big happy family!'

I have only praise for all the staff at Bluebell Nursing Home, the whole atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. All standards are very high with most importantly excellent care from nurses and carers for my mother. All support staff are kind and develop good relationships with residents and visitors.

My mother has been a resident for the last 17 months having been discharged directly from hospital. As an amputee, she needs the extra care/attention which is always provided by dedicated staff. All staff/management treat everything with dignity and laughter can be regularly heard. Food is prepared
and cooked to a high standard and residents are able to choose what they would like on a daily basis. There are regular activities and a garden for those who are able to use it in the summer. Overall standard and quality of rooms are of a bright and happy home which is highly recommended.

My husband was cared for by the Bluebell for two years. His physical and mental health was poor but the staff worked hard and thoughtfully to make him as happy and comfortable as possible. He was confined to bed and needed bed sore treatment which was successful. The nursing care was excellent and
gave me constant reassurance.
The staff are well trained and supervised well.
The chef adapted and catered to his limited appetite.
He did not wish to be included in entertainment offered but enjoyed his birthday cakes, help with the TV and music choice. This enabled carers and the entertainment manager, to have some conversation and share interests.
The home has a high standard of decoration, the building is well maintained.
I was always made welcome and given comfort and reassurance. I felt most problems were sorted out as quickly as possible.
I will always be grateful for the friendship and care given to my husband and myself.

Stacey Parkhill

Job Title: Registered Manager

Joined: 2004

Meet our esteemed manager, Stacey Parkhill, who has been dedicatedly serving in the Care sector since 2004 and has been associated with Bluebell since 2007.


Starting off as a care assistant, she earned her Level 3 certification in Health and Social Care and progressed to the position of Senior Carer. In 2018, she scaled new heights by attaining a Level 5 qualification in Leadership for Health and Social Care, and more recently, took up the mantle of a Training Officer to gain further expertise in her field. With her vast knowledge of Bluebell and its residents, she is ecstatic to be presented with the opportunity to assume a managerial role and will undoubtedly remain an invaluable member of our team.


Stacey's vision for Bluebell is to continue providing a superlative standard of care for all our residents while also offering training prospects for our empathetic and remarkably dedicated carers and staff.
