Hampton Lodge offers high quality nursing, residential dementia and respite care for up to 44 older people. Situated a couple of miles from the famous Southampton docks and close to the city centre, Hampton Lodge is a purpose-built home, providing tailored care in a warm, supportive and friendly environment.

Residents enjoy a calm, relaxed atmosphere and benefit from person-centred care. The home take time to get to know each individual’s history, personality and preferences, and find ways to make every day fulfilling.

The Activity Coordinator at Hampton Lodge works hard to keep the residents active and entertained with a fun-packed weekly calendar. Activities include: singing, bingo, quizzes, games, baking, afternoon tea and coffee mornings, animal visits, film afternoons, flower arranging, gardening, craft sessions and knitting.

Hampton Lodge is proud to be supported by a dedicated Chaplain, who offers pastoral support to all, whatever their beliefs. The Chaplain provides a listening presence, companionship and one-to-one pastoral support for all residents, their friends and relatives, and staff members - irrespective of their beliefs.

The home is easily accessible by public transport, close to the city centre and are located next door to MHA's Hebron Court retirement living apartment and MHA Communities Southampton.

Mum has had excellent care here; The staff are kind and thoughtful and worked really hard to make sure she had everything she needed, even to the point of getting her to hospital visits when it was really hard. They took the time to get to know Mum personally, and she was happy, safe and comfortable.

On a glorious Wednesday, my husband and I were part of a little adventure. My husband is a resident at Hampton Lodge and the wonderful staff took us on a river cruise on the charity-funded catamaran. In my husband's words, it was wonderful. The lush peaceful walks and gardens along the river, it was
a joy. Thank you to the staff.

My father has been at Hampton Lodge since March 2024. I cannot fault the nursing care and kindness of all the staff. They are a really happy, friendly bunch! Nothing is too much trouble and the staff always make time to chat and support our family. We can visit at any time, day or night.
Staff are
well trained and very respectful. Hampton Lodge is well led by an experienced team and many staff have worked there for at least five years.
There is an air of calm, it is very clean. The kitchen staff try hard to accommodate any personal food requests. My father's room is light and bright with a pleasant view. The gardens are well-maintained and attractive. They are regular activities for the residents, art, singing and armchair exercises. Hair dressed and chiropodist make regular visits. There is a chaplain available and church services.
I could never imagine my father being in a nursing home, however, he settled quickly.
I feel that we have built a really good relationship with the staff and that they know Dad really well too!
Well done to everyone at Hampton Lodge. We really appreciate everything you do!

All members of staff at Hampton Lodge are always very professional with the residents' needs from the senior managers to the care staff, A very well-run care home. A beautiful purpose-built building with all the facilities which is perfect for people with dementia. My mother has been at Hampton Lodge
for almost five years, which gives me great peace of mind that she is so well looked after.

I have been visiting my friend of many years, I have found her very well cared for. The staff at the care home are caring and treat the residents with friendliness and dignity. Her room is spacious and clean and she has personal items i.e. family photos displayed. There is an air of calm in the home
and the public rooms have games, puzzles and a TV. Entertainment is provided during the week which encourages conversation. Although my friend would prefer to be in her own home she has accepted she needs care and often says 'I am cared for with kindness so have no complaints whatsoever'.

My father was admitted for end-of-life care and was only in a week but the care, support, compassion and kindness shown to us and to my father was wonderful. Everyone went that extra mile and always had time for my dad and us whatever he needed. At the end of the final hours it was very quick but everyone
involved acted quickly, promptly, and the pain relief and other medication was given to make my dad comfortable. The staff constantly checked on my dad and gave wonderful end-of-life care. One of the most touching things was they laid a butterfly blanket on the bed, it was so lovely. Having this wonderful care made such a difficult situation much easier to bear and as a family we are totally grateful and it has given us so much comfort at a very difficult time. Thank you to all the lovely staff, truly dedicated, professional and extremely kind.

Modern, well-equipped home set in lovely grounds. A good number of staff who are well trained, caring, and respond to individual residents' wishes. All care can happen at the home with no need to go to hospital. We have been impressed by the care given to our parents. It was tailored to their needs.
The links with the GP surgery were excellent so we knew there was always medical care when needed.
Loads of activities too and an onsite chaplain. I would happily be a resident myself at Hampton Lodge.

My sister-in-law was at Hampton Lodge for 13 months. She was immobile and was given excellent nursing care by the staff who were all helpful and friendly. The home was well run by management. I am grateful to everyone for the kindness and attention given to my dear sister-in-law.

Our mother was cared for at Hampton Lodge until her death. As a family we were so impressed with the care she received. The staff were exceptional, including maintenance staff, carers and management. Everyone treated Mum as an individual and very quickly became aware of her likes and dislikes as well

My 89 year old cousin was given a very short prognosis, but since coming to Hampton Lodge she is still with us and thriving, five months later. Through the help and companionship of the staff she has gained strength, full mobility, confidence and some memory improvement enable us to continue full and
meaningful conversations. She is the happiest she's been for several years and her great sense of humour has returned. Her diabietes is regularly monitored and kept in check, she still doesn't need pain medication and is involved in several daily activities which she loved and has made many friends. Without doubt all of this is due to the kind, caring, supportive staff at Hampton Lodge. I couldn't have wished for a better care home.

My mum and stepdad were both residents and had fantastic care including when they were at the end of their lives. I can't commend the staff at Hampton Lodge highly enough for the way they looked after them. Every member of staff, no matter what their role, cared about giving them what they wanted and
needed as an individual - it didn't matter if it meant extra work for staff, they wanted to make the resident happy. When I praised one of the carers for this approach she said that this was the residents' home and the staff are visitors there to make it the best home it can be for them - a wonderful attitude that I witnessed in action day and night. The staff also supported me and my family, making a real difference to our lives at very difficult times - I remain grateful for all they did.

From mum's first day at Hampton Lodge I have been very impressed by the wonderful team who care for her. The whole team (carers, nurses, managers, activity, admin and maintenance staff) are always helpful, polite, cheerful, caring and treat mum with dignity. I am so pleased that the activity and musical
therapy team have allowed dad to join in so he can have quality time with mum. I am also very grateful for the support and empathy we have received from the management team. A wonderful, professional and caring team.

Mum went to Hampton Lodge in June 2020, under very difficult circumstances. The team went out of their way to settle Mum and reassure our family. They are an incredible team of people who have worked so hard to keep everyone safe during this pandemic. I really don't know how we would have survived without

My sister is well looked after and the staff are very friendly, they are always doing entertainment with all in care. Their patience is put to the test sometimes, feel they handle things well. The home itself is clean and in a lovely position and has a nice garden.

My name is Prescie and I am the Deputy Manager of Hampton Lodge Care Home. I can’t believe I’ve been here three years already!
My favourite part of my job is being able to support my colleagues on a daily basis and meeting the need and safety of my beloved residents. Also, appreciating that my work and myself have embedded the footprint of healthy working relationships within the staff, residents and other teams or partners of care.
