Mum has been at this home (Sunrise, Signature and Avery). During that time the care has been excellent. Lovely environment and all staff are extremely caring and go the extra mile. My only complaint is lots of Mum's clothes have gone missing despite being labelled. Very expensive but I guess you get
what you pay for and Mum deserves it.

Having looked at many care homes in the area, I can honestly say that none came close to Southampton Manor. There is a warm and caring energy about the place from the minute you walk in and are welcomed by the concierge team. The rest of the team are brilliant too. Always treating the residents with
dignity. The transition for my mum's move was made effortlessly with the help of the new residents' liaison manager and the maintenance team. I would highly recommend this home.

Mum moved permanently into this care home in July 2023 and we've been really impressed with the atmosphere and help that we've received, especially from the client liaison manager, the deputy manager and the maintenance manager. It takes anyone time to settle when they've moved out of their own home,
but the staff have worked with Mum to ensure she has what she needs. At times they seem to be a bit short staffed, but I know that this issue is being worked on by the management. I've had experience of various care homes over the past few years and this is the best so far, with very welcoming staff.

My father moved to Signature at Bassett after a bed experience in his last care home, and we can't praise it enough. The physical environment couldn't be better, Dad is in a studio suite, and it's lovely to be able to have a separate sitting room with your own furniture; he's proud to be able to invite
visitors. But the most important thing is the staff, without exception, in Dad's words, "they are marvellous", so kind, genuinely caring, extremely well lead, professional and gently encouraging to residents to meet their best potential. Fantastic!

I have been in respite care at Signature at Bassett Care Home for the past three weeks, during this time I have found that everyone works hard to make it the success it is. The accommodation is first-class, the food is really good and well presented and the whole place is very comfortable and spotless.
I have enjoyed my time spent here and hope one day to come back again, it's a wonderful, happy place.

After having a month in hospital it was suggested that I should have some respite care after a bout of pneumonia. After some research by my daughter, we agreed on Signature at Bassett Care Home for three weeks. I couldn't have had anything better. The food is good, the accommodation excellent and the
staff, every one of them, ready to help in any way they can. Everywhere was spotless and well-kept. What more could I want?

My mum came here in October. It took her a while to settle in, but now she loves it. The staff are all so lovely and caring, and nothing is too much trouble. It has given us all peace of mind.

We are very well looked after here. I would not wish to go back to my own home to look after myself. All food menus are done for us and all out laundry. We have an excellent hairdresser, and my apartment is cleaned etc very well.

A beautiful care home which is quite frankly like a five-star hotel. They made my mum and her partner so welcome, and we enjoyed a wonderful Halloween event with them. The staff are amazing, and the quality of experience is first-class. Although Mum's stay was unfortunately cut short, we cannot recommend

I think Signature as a care home is absolutely wonderful - couldn't ask for better for my nan, and the staff are so welcoming and friendly, which makes so much difference for her. My nan was unsure about going into a care home at first, but now, on every visit, she always says how lovely it is here
and how friendly everyone is to her.

Myself and my sister find the care and support offered at Signature to be very good, and it's a huge comfort to us to know that she is so well looked after. We also find the range of activities very good; there is often something for her to get involved in if she wished (like flower arranging). We also

This is my second period of two weeks of respite care in this place, although the first period it was a different name, but the staff are the same. I do not need care, but for peace of mind, high-quality care is there if needed. I observe this quality, every day, given to those in need - very impressive!
My family are very pleased I have decided to come back as I live on my own. My wife, having passed away eight and a half years ago after 64 years of a loving relationship.

I have been visiting my brother-in-law fortnightly/three weekly since September 2021.
During the Covid period, the care home had so much to deal with.
All staff are very helpful as and when necessary.
As you enter, it is all open plan, bright and cheerful and areas for residents to sit comfortably
together with a large TV screen or privately and a dining area. There is also a lovely garden and a comfortable balcony.

This establishment is superb, very clean, spacious, public areas and dining. Rooms are very well designed to suit all needs. Staff extremely friendly and efficient, and the food provided is excellent. Activities are also very good/ Recommend this establishment - it is safe and well designed, with the
added advantage of a beautiful garden with a gazebo and walkway.

For the two months, I have been at Signature, I have always been met with kindness and care from everyone. For the first few days, I was so impressed by the way the carers looked after the older people and those who needed more attention at the mealtimes. They all spoke so kindly, really lovingly to
them; it was/is so lovely to see. The rooms are kept very clean, also the bathroom. The activities are varied and well-thought-out, so enjoyable. I would recommend Signature to anyone seeking a home and am full of admiration for all the staff, especially the seniors who train them and are responsible for the atmosphere.

I can not fault the service provided for my sister, who seems very happy. She likes the staff who are very kind and efficient. The food quality is excellent. My main criticism is the very high costs which soon will become unattainable.

Lovely, comfortable room and welcoming public areas - more like a nice hotel than a care home. Everyone is friendly and welcoming - eager to please. Mum has slightly more care needs - having "low-vision" (WMDE a series of strokes) so needs help with certain things. Most staff are great - but the buzzers
(to summon help) are sometimes unanswered for a while. They seem to be short-staffed some days. Those who are working have to rush around to cover everyone they are looking after. They have been careful with visiting - which has been appreciated in lockdown. A lovely place and caring staff.

I have worked in the care sector for 20 years, 17 as a Registered Manager, going on to become Regional Manager for Southern Services for a further two years with the same Company.


To further my knowledge in care I then took a role as Operations Manager for a domiciliary care company which I very much enjoyed although I realised over a period of time that the interaction with families and residents was something I missed hugely so decided to go with my heart and back into a care home environment.


I am very focused on providing the highest standard of care here at Southampton Manor, an environment where the resident is at the centre of all we do and building on a sense of community for those who live, work and visit the home.

Job Title: Activities and Volunteer Coordinator

I have been here since September 2011, starting off as a care manager, I have always been involved in supporting our residents with their daily activities. I really enjoy coming to work each day knowing that I am able to make a difference to our residents lives nurturing their mind, body and spirit. I have always felt passionate to encourage equality within our community by finding the residents activities suited for their individual needs by adapting activities, giving them the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and talents.

My journey as Dinging Service Coordinator here started in July 2019. I am very privileged to have joined a professional team of Chefs, Dining Staff, Catering staff, and the whole of the Bassett team, who have helped me to settle into my role.


In My 36 years as a Chef and Catering Manager I have never worked in the care sector. I am enjoying learning new skills every day. I have however worked in many different areas of the hospitality industry. Won awards, cooked and served for Royalty. I spent 12 years in Spain as Head Chef for a very busy Fish and Steak Restaurant, so with that in mind I hope to share my knowledge and experience to enhance what is already and exceptionally first class service. By providing an exclusive, comfortable environment for residents to enjoy high quality, fresh, flavoursome, nutritionally balanced food. I look forward to the challenge, and achieving all my goals here.
