Broad Oak Manor Nursing Home was rated as Outstanding in Caring in the latest inspection (February 2020).

A personalised plan of care is tailor made to support individuals to achieve things that they may not have thought were possible or to continue to do the things they enjoy. High quality care is delivered by experienced staff, co-ordinated by skilled Nurses and senior managers, bringing humanity, understanding and compassion to care.

Broad Oak Manor Nursing Home is located in a Grade II Queen Anne House and surrounded by mature landscaped gardens. The Nursing Home combines a warm, friendly atmosphere with modern nursing care in a beautiful, and traditional setting.

All the bedrooms are well equipped with nurse-call systems, telephone and television points. Tastefully furnished and decorated, the rooms may be adapted to suit the wishes of each individual.

The Home has several reception rooms including a well-stocked library which enjoys wonderful views of the garden and forms the centre of daily activities. The dining room and lounge are situated on the ground floor.

Broad Oak Manor boasts extensive well-tended grounds complete with croquet lawn, which can be enjoyed by all the family. A sensory garden has been created in the shape of a sundial. This forms the central focus to the garden and gives both visual and aromatic pleasure. All areas of the Nursing Home and gardens are easily accessible to everyone including wheelchair users.

With the support of the Clinical Commissioning Group, we were fortunate to have been able to transfer my terminally ill brother to Broad Oak Manor, so that he is now closer to family members. He was discharged from hospital to another care home, which was difficult to visit, due to the distance and
we did not feel the care home provided him with the level of care or compassion that he deserves. At very short notice, the staff at Broad Oak Manor arranged for us to have a tour of the home and with their help and assistance, we were able to move my brother there, just four days later! It goes without saying, the difference between the level of care he received at the previous home compared to the outstanding care that Broad Oak Manor provides is astounding! The home and staff radiate a calm, caring and homely feel, it feels more like a 5-star hotel than a care setting! Although very early days, as a family we cannot thank them enough for all their help and most importantly, the exceptional care they provide.
