Bushey House is a historic, Grade II listed building located in the heart of Bushey Village, close to Watford and NW London providing high quality residential and nursing care.

Set in stunning grounds with fantastic views, Bushey House has a welcoming coffee lounge with homemade cakes on entrance with further lounges and drawing rooms, for both residents and families to enjoy. A particular favourite is the Lawn Room, with panoramic views across the local countryside, followed closely by the bright conservatory leading to manicured grounds.

All the rooms are spacious with a touch of luxury and offer en-suite facilities throughout. Rooms can be personalised by each resident with pictures, furniture and other keepsakes important to them.

Bushey House offers 24 hour nursing care, residential care, respite and short term convalescence as well as end of life palliative care with nurses and a care team on hand 24 hours a day. The team of highly-qualified and attentive staff, focus on the individual needs of residents, with a tailored care plan for each individual. Their dedication can be seen across the board with a life enrichment program to meet each residents needs and interests.

We are so pleased to see the front door sorted as they have been open since Christmas. Everyone tries hard to care for the residents. We are happy to see my sister-in-law looking better. But it would be good to see her supervised when she gets dressed and see she's wearing her layers of clothes.

It was my mother's birthday earlier this month. I was delighted that on her birthday the numerous staff were aware and she had good wishes and 'Happy Birthdays' from so many. She returned to the house at teatime and staff gathered with the residents to sing 'Happy Birthday'. My mum is treated and spoken
to with respect and kindness. We are so happy with our choice of Barchester Homes and she is safe and so well looked after.

My husband and I received a very warm welcome and were allocated a spacious and tastefully furnished 'couples' room. I suffer from MS and am wheelchair-bound with no lower body sensation or control. I was delighted with the provision of equipment to meet my needs and the care and dedication of staff
caring for me. When my husband joined me after a hip replacement operation the assistance, care and encouragement he received contributed to his speedy recovery and excellent progress in regaining his mobility. I have no hesitation in planning to return in the future.

Was a resident for two weeks for respite care. The kitchen staff were very friendly and accommodating. The chef was always willing to prepare an alternative to what was on the menu and would come out and ask if I was happy with the food. All in all the manners, service and care were excellent.

I stayed for two weeks of respite care initially now arranging to stay permanently. I have found most of the staff to be helpful and friendly as well as caring. The food and kitchen team are excellent. I am only able to eat small amounts regularly and it would be good to be able to have a snack meal
when I am actually able to eat - at that time. Happy with the management team - very caring and helpful.

My husband spent eight months here and from the start the standard of care was faultless. He was treated with dignity, by both carers and nursing staff and I had Peace of Mind that all of his care needs were taken care of. I can highly recommend the home.

I visit my friend, a resident here, on a regular basis. The staff are always pleasant and helpful and the general care of the residents seems good and caring. There are frequent activities which I think is so important for the elderly who probably have led a quiet and lonely life before moving here
and now have something every day in which to be interested and to fill their time. Well done to all concerned.

My father received amazing care at Barchester Bushey House Beaumont Care Home. The staff were so kind and attentive. Unfortunately, Dad was very unhappy here as he missed his flat and his friends. We are moving him back to his flat with a live-in carer but I know he will miss the incredible care and
staff at Bushey House.

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I have recently been taking my mum to activities at the care home. She is introduced to the residents and included with the residents to warm drinks and food and the staff are very caring. I pick her up and she is always chatting away with new people smiling
and laughing. They have a very good social life which keeps everyone happy, interested and engaged.

I am a regular visitor at Bushey House and I am always made to feel so welcome by the manager who with her friendly smile will always make time to talk to me about my day and offer me a cup of tea. The carers are smiling and welcoming, residents are well-presented and always busy doing something. Carers
with a warm welcome, It’s a pleasure to visit. Luxurious, clean warm environment. Great cakes too!

I was here for a week's respite. The staff were very friendly. They answered calls for assistance very promptly. They were helpful in catering for my dietary requirements. The room was bright but not sure of the cleaning routine, it was not cleaned every day. It's not appropriate to be disturbed when
already in bed at 10 pm to fill in a questionnaire on my toilet habits or have a Covid test, I know it's essential but timing! A mostly favourable experience.

I have been at Bushey House since April 2022. I qualified as a nurse in 1991 working in the NHS from 1999 to 2016. I joined Barchester Healthcare in 2016 as a Deputy Manager and have supported care homes for many years.


We aspire to be the most respected home in the area. My passion is to ensure that our residents are provided with the very best of care, dignity, respect and support to enable them to live a healthy and happy life.

Avni's passion for his cooking is reflected in the delivery of his food. Having won Barchester's Chef of the Year in 2008.


He and his team continue to produce inviting and delicious menus, if there is nothing on the menu you like ask and he will endeavour to please.


Avni is also one of the leaders of the Chef Academy wherein they are responsible for training new Chefs.


He has also continued to uphold the 5-star dining experience award of Barchester.

Job Title: Head of Housekeeping/Infection Control Champion

My role is to ensure the home is kept safe and clean. I am also the Infection Control Champion working closely with the nursing team to maintain the highest standards of hygiene in the home. I love to look after our beautiful residence and to make it inviting and comfortable for residents and their visitors.


I love spending time with family and friends including going to the cinema and sampling new restaurants.

I look after the general home standards and also new residents coming into the home. I will be the first point of contact should you wish to enquire about care for yourself or your loved one to come and stay at Bushey House Beaumont. I am also involved with community engagement and work closely with various organisations which may be of benefit to our residents.


I have studied two degrees in Ecology and Environmental Management and Theology with Religious Studies. I have a varied work background including the homeless person and elderly care sectors. Outside of work, I enjoy playing tennis, hiking and church activities.
