Bushey House is a historic, Grade II listed building located in the heart of Bushey Village, close to Watford and NW London providing high quality residential and nursing care.

Set in stunning grounds with fantastic views, Bushey House has a welcoming coffee lounge with homemade cakes on entrance with further lounges and drawing rooms, for both residents and families to enjoy. A particular favourite is the Lawn Room, with panoramic views across the local countryside, followed closely by the bright conservatory leading to manicured grounds.

Bushey House offers 24 hour nursing care, residential care, respite and short term convalescence as well as end of life palliative care with nurses and a care team on hand 24 hours a day. Very pleased with the care my dad has received. The carers spend a lot of time with him to make him smile when he has an off day. Always clean, well fed and shaved. Perfect care home. Thank you so, so much.

My mother has only been in the home for six months, and all during Covid. However, I know she is safe and being looked after. The nursing staff really fo look after her. She is very confused, but I think that is probably because we haven't been able to see her due to current restrictions, but hopefully,
things will improve soon.

Bushey Barchester has cared for Mum for 18-months, 6-months in normal time and 12-months of lockdown. I have found not being able to see Mum as and when I want very distressing, but I've been comforted to know that she's being well looked after. She always seems content.

I was recommended to come to this home by my daughters. I was lonely and depressed after losing my husband.
I think it is definitely the right decision I have made. The staff are very good to me. I am happy to see them each morning and evening. We have chats and a laugh and I enjoy their company. I
would recommend this home to anyone and I feel very safe here.

My sister only arrived in the nursing home in July after a rapid deterioration in her health due to illness and at a relatively young age, so a shock to all. I can only say that my sister appears to be met by kindness and attentiveness and in such difficult circumstances during Covid. The staff seem
to be doing everything to make her life better when it must be so difficult for them not having extra input from visitors and outsiders so their time is stretched to the limit. A home in such beautiful surroundings is obviously a great help. I got a very quick response to an email with an enquiry which also shows the home is being run and led by a great manager.

After an initial respite visit in September 2019, my mother became a resident in January 2020. How lucky we were to have her in such a safe place when lockdown started.
I knew that despite the restrictions on visiting she was in a far better environment that she had been previously and I was able to
sleep at night knowing that at all times all measures undertaken were with the prime aim of keeping her safe and well.
Under challenging circumstances, the staff have responded magnificently ensuring that all residents were cared for as if they were their own relatives.
Extra effort way and beyond "normal" caring duties are evident and so heartwarming to see. I am left in absolutely no doubt that this was the best decision our family has ever made with respect to her ongoing well being and safety.
Thank you to all the staff and senior management team for your unwavering commitment to your residents. I chose Bushey Beaumont after visiting several other local homes.
I do not regret it!

I have been in the home for approximately six weeks and in that period of time, I have been treated like royalty by all the staff. it has been a privilege to have worked with and mixed with fellow lodgers over this period, even though Coronavirus was more or less at its height. I visited my sister this week after many months of not being able to due to Coronavirus. I just wanted to thank the new manager and her team for doing such a fabulous job caring for the residents at this time. My sister has been very well cared for and supported throughout these past three months and

I'm very grateful to the manager and the team for looking after Mum. She's been in the home since Feb 2020 and it's been tough for us not being able to visit during the Coronavirus crisis. But we have been able to Facetime Mum regularly - the staff have always been happy to set Mum up on her tablet
with headphones when we've called in advance - and it's been a great way to keep in touch. We've also been able to visit her in the garden, albeit at a safe distance. And the staff organised such a wonderful celebration with us for Mum and Dad's diamond wedding anniversary. Everyone has been so helpful, friendly and considerate. Thank you so much.

My Mum has recently become a resident at Bushey House Beaumont and completely relies on the carers for everything. The coronavirus has made it difficult to see my Mum but a visit was arranged behind glass which was greatly appreciated. Once the corona laws were a bit more relaxed, a visit was arranged
to see my Mum in the garden. The carers were so kind and patient with my Mum, even making her hair look pretty for my visit and holding my Mum's hand. They were helpful in answering all my questions and reassured me when I got upset. Well done ladies. Can't thank you enough or praise you enough.

My mother is residing at Bushey House and we are very pleased with all aspects of her care. The food is lovely, the view from her room is lovely, overlooking the lovely gardens and golf club. The staff are also very caring and helpful.

It is the current coronavirus situation that has prompted me to submit this review now, but a review for the wonderful people at Bushey House Beaumont is probably long overdue. My mum has advanced dementia and she's been a resident since October 2017. Whilst Mum might not be able to fully appreciate
the quality of the surroundings and the impeccable care from everybody at Bushey House, we - her family - certainly do.
The care home itself is just a lovely place to be - a stunning building in beautiful surroundings, and extremely well looked after.
More importantly, Mum is looked after by a dedicated and attentive team of people at all times - from the carers and nurses to admin, cleaning staff, catering, maintenance and others. It gives us so much comfort to know that Mum has got such great care. It's a lovely place to visit, and I always feel like one of the family when I come and visit. And right now during lockdown, everybody manages to do an even more impressive job. Thank you all.

Extremely helpful in achieving my husbands move from hospital to Bushey House Beaumont quickly. The carer support was very good with some truly exceptional staff. GP's weekly visit very helpful and of a high standard. Good private physio support. As a family, we felt that my husband was in safe hands.

In comparison to other homes he has been, I'd give this home a 5-star rating in terms of -
Staff (very friendly, kind, professional, supportive and polite). Clean and tidy room. Excellent choice of menu. Nice grooming facility and beautiful surroundings.
But, could do with having additional staff
at night and providing wheelchairs with footrests.

I have been at Bushey House since April 2022. I qualified as a nurse in 1991 working in the NHS from 1999 to 2016. I joined Barchester Healthcare in 2016 as a Deputy Manager and have supported care homes for many years.


We aspire to be the most respected home in the area. My passion is to ensure that our residents are provided with the very best of care, dignity, respect and support to enable them to live a healthy and happy life.

Hello, I am Linda a speak-up champion and registered nurse at Bushey House Beaumont. I did my nurse training in Ghana where I worked in a large general hospital. This is my first nursing role based in a care home and I really enjoy getting to know and care for our lovely residents.


I am also a speak-up champion for the home. My aim is to ensure that we deal with concerns and complaints at the earliest opportunity and assist in promoting the well-being of everyone.

Hello, I joined Barchester at Bushey House Beaumont in March 2023 as a student postgraduate from Roehampton University in London, following her studies in MBA HR at Mahatma Gandhi University in Kottaya India.


Before coming to the UK, I was a professional dancer, junior artist in Indian Movies and national wrestler and martial arts judo player.


I want to progress in my role as a healthcare practitioner and when I'm not at work or studying, I enjoy working out at my local gym as well as speaking with my grandparents in India via video call.

I started working at Bushey House Beaumont in 2022 in an activities role that I absolutely love. There are very few jobs that offer the daily satisfaction and fulfilment that mine does. I am delighted to be able to play my part in helping to bring joy and laughter into our residents’ daily lives and offer them an interesting choice of events to do just that.

Avni Fejzullau

Job Title: Head Chef

Avni's passion for his cooking is reflected in the delivery of his food. Having won Barchester's Chef of the Year in 2008.


He and his team continue to produce inviting and delicious menus, if there is nothing on the menu you like ask and he will endeavour to please.


Avni is also one of the leaders of the Chef Academy wherein they are responsible for training new Chefs.


He has also continued to uphold the 5-star dining experience award of Barchester.

Job Title: Head of Housekeeping/Infection Control Champion

My role is to ensure the home is kept safe and clean. I am also the Infection Control Champion working closely with the nursing team to maintain the highest standards of hygiene in the home. I love to look after our beautiful residence and to make it inviting and comfortable for residents and their visitors.


I love spending time with family and friends including going to the cinema and sampling new restaurants.

I look after the general home standards and also new residents coming into the home. I will be the first point of contact should you wish to enquire about care for yourself or your loved one to come and stay at Bushey House Beaumont. I am also involved with community engagement and work closely with various organisations which may be of benefit to our residents.


I have studied two degrees in Ecology and Environmental Management and Theology with Religious Studies. I have a varied work background including the homeless person and elderly care sectors. Outside of work, I enjoy playing tennis, hiking and church activities.
