Premier Court is set in a very peaceful countryside location within Bishop’s Stortford. It provides a full range of residential and nursing care.

They’re here when you and your loved ones need them most. For planned respite or last- minute trips. A safe space to recover after an operation. To experience what their home’s like before moving long- term. To just relax. Whatever the reason, their doors are open.

A modern, purpose-built home, Premier Court has comfortable ensuite single bedrooms and attractive décor. The home features well-furnished lounge areas where residents can relax and socialise, there is also an onsite hair salon and the homes very own tea room for all to enjoy.

The home benefits from lots of outside space with courtyard gardens for family and friends to use whenever they come to visit. The home is also wheelchair accessible throughout.

Enjoying food is an important part of life. The chefs create well-crafted menus made with the freshest ingredients. Soon after a resident arrives at the home, staff discuss their personal preferences and dietary needs with them.

There’s a real sense of community at Premier Court. The staff work to discover what residents enjoy doing and the home's social calendar is organised around those interests. So whether loved ones already have a hobby or would like to take up a new one, there are lots of exciting activities to get involved in.

We found Premier Court to be clean and bright with good facilities and outdoor spaces. The activities team were great and the food was nice. Unfortunately, there seems to be a problem with staffing numbers and ratios as basic needs were not met in a timely manner most days. Essential personal care was
virtually unavailable during meal times which was very distressing.

The location is nice and the surrounding area is lovely. Food is very good and the activities co-ordinator is very caring. The staff are so busy that they are not able to respond to basic needs. I'm afraid that I would not recommend this care home. The end of life treatment that my mother received did
not meet our families expectation sadly.

My Mother was at Premier Court for the last two and half years of her life and I can not fault the care she received. All of the staff were so very kind to her treating her with so much care and compassion. I spent a lot of time there with Mum and got to know the staff, from the Manager, the nurses
and care staff, the girls in the office and reception and the entertainment girls and they are all amazing! I was always able to leave Mum knowing she was receiving the best care 24hrs a day which gave me peace of mind, and I always knew they would keep me informed at all times. I really couldn’t recommend this place more highly for any loved ones. Thank you all at Premier Court!

My mum was in Premier Court for over two years. In the time she was in there she was really well cared for by all the staff. The staff always treated us well and in the time Mum was in the home they always let us know what was going on or if there was a problem. I would definitely recommend Premier
Court to anyone who was looking for a care home for a loved one.

My mother spent 6 weeks in Premier Court and we were very happy with the care provided. Whilst there was a well-organised activities programme, my mother was probably not in the best of health to appreciate them, at that time. It is a nicely arranged home with a pleasant outlook and apart from the rooms
being on the small side, my mother was well looked after and started to eat very well.

My mother was recovering from a heart operation and was looked after very well by all staff at Premier Court. She was made to feel very welcome and was properly looked after.

My Mum came into your care for the last week of her life and the care was extraordinary, although she couldn't really appreciate the beautiful surroundings she smiled a lot and even in the last days she seemed very at peace. Thank you for making those days so special.

My mum suffered from dementia and was in the final stage. The staff at Premier Court could not have been nicer, kinder or more helpful to my Mum and indeed my Dad and all the family. Mum was very well and professionally looked after which put us all at ease and made her passing a serene affair. My father
noticeably relaxed due to the care and attention both were receiving. All I can say is thank you.

My mother is very happy in the home. she is very comfortable and feels safe and cared for. The staff are lovely, very warm and kind. They always have time for her. They will just stop and chat. In her own home she was lonely, here she has lots of friends who really care about her. She enjoys her meals,
she loves the activities and more than anything she loves her baths which she couldn't safely have in her own home. Indeed all her needs are catered for. I know that her tablets will be given on time and that she is safe, well cared for and loved.

Very nice room, good food, plenty of activities during the week (am and pm). Well cared for but have a problem getting them to put her in a certain 'chair', changing her four times a day (as at home) and getting her to drink plenty of water. She has been coming here for two weeks every two months for
about two years now and I think they are finally getting the above message. I would recommend these premises and will continue to come here for as long as possible.

My Mum was a resident at Premier Court for the last few days of her life. The staff should be congratulated as they have created a team that that has a real family feel about it. They not only treated my Mum with care and dignity but also the whole family who were made so welcome when we visited - nothing
was too much trouble.
It was so comforting to know that Mum was well cared for and was happy in her last days and for her to pass away in a place that felt like our own home is a feeling that one can not describe.
Myself my wife and all the family's heartfelt thanks to you all for all the care and compassion you shared with Mum.

Care and consideration given to my mother during her last days was excellent. The team had looked after her in her last hours cannot receive enough praise. The person in charge needs special thanks. He looked after my father and I on our arrival and visited us frequently and made my mother comfortable.
Three members of staff were with us when I pressed the emergency button and all were kind and sympathetic towards us. My father is 92 and was married to my mother for 68 years so the kindness towards us was much appreciated.

My dad was a resident at Premier Court for the last two months of his life. He was well cared for. I was anxious for him to be comfortable particularly at the end. The hospice nurse and Premier Court nurses and GP worked together to ensure everything was in place for him when it was needed. He was
able to stay at Premier Court right to the end which was perfect he died comfortable and in peace.
