Putting any loved one in a care home is one of the hardest thing a family member will have to do, but going through the process with Chorleywood Manor Care Home was a lovely experience and I cannot thank them enough.
The admission process was thorough and smooth in every way. The staff were fantastic
with any worries we had.
Chorleywood Manor Care Home provided us with all the information we needed, as well as providing the highest of standards for our relative.
We were able to ensure they felt like it was home from home which eased our worries in every way.
All the staff have been lovely and it is clear to see they all take pride in their roles making sure everyone is happy and have everything they need. We are notified if there are any problems or issues that need to be discussed and updates on their progress.
The home is clean and tidy always and feels a warm and welcoming environment when you are there. Nothing is too much trouble when you ask.
Outstanding work everyone.

My father has been a resident of Chorleywood Manor for around 6 months now. He has dementia and there was an urgent requirement to get him into safe care. From before his move, where the general manager and care manager went to visit him at his flat to help ease the process, the care has been above
and beyond. This is a home that cares about every individual - loving them for their quirks and making it a mission to put a smile on their face every day.
The place is full of laughter and the welcome is always warm.
It's lovely to be able to stop for a coffee and bite to eat or a walk around the beautiful gardens before or after visiting a loved one. The food is second to none and the entertainment and activity schedule is varied, engaging and totally varied.
I feel grateful to know that my dad is safe and well cared for and that this isn't a job for the staff, it's a vocation and a pleasure. Highly recommended.

We are deeply grateful to Chorleywood Care Home for the exceptional care they provided for our dad. From the moment he left hospital, their support with all the administrative details was seamless, easing a very stressful time for our family. Upon his arrival, the team went above and beyond to ensure
he felt comfortable and well cared for.
The transformation in my dad's health and spirit during his stay was remarkable. The kindness, attentiveness, and dedication of the staff and care assistants were truly inspiring. Their engaging activities and warm interactions created an environment where he truly thrived.
Dad only left because he required additional nursing care otherwise, we wouldn't have considered moving him. We are forever grateful for the compassion and professionalism shown throughout his stay. I highly recommend Chorleywood care home for their exceptional standard of care and the genuine heart they bring to their work.

We moved dad in to Chorleywood Manor in August. It was an emotional time as we had to move him out of his flat at really short notice as his wife could no longer cope and was having a breakdown of her own.
The home and the staff have been brilliant, helping dad settle in, and making him feel welcome.
He feels like he now has more friends than he has for years and is very happy there, often saying how luck he is.
As a regular visitor, they make me feel welcome too, and the place has such an upbeat positive vibe that I actually look forward to going in there!

Chorleywood Manor is a very imposing building with all facilities in good condition. There are lots of activities for residents to take part in. The staff are all very friendly and caring. I feel satisfied that my mother is safe and taken good care of.

Mum came to Chorleywood Manor initially for respite care and is now a permanent resident. She is not the easiest resident, but the carers treat her with respect and good humour. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed; the communal areas are welcoming. We feel reassured that mum is being cared for
in a safe environment - which takes the stress off us.

I love coming to Chorleywood Manor on Fridays because they make me so welcome. I only have to get in the door and I get a lovely welcome greeting from someone. It might be the concierge or another member of staff and residents sometimes even a hug. I come for the activities department and the play reading
session, and also make cups of tea and coffee to save the staff from having to do it. I've been coming for 15 years - at first for respite after an operation.

The facilities are great. The care staff are amazing: kind/smiley/attentive. All staff welcome visitors by name - a lovely personal touch and quite an achievement! Mum has been more alert and engaged since moving in. The routine, level of care, and amount of stimulation seem to have worked wonders.

Leaving my husband for 2 weeks of respite is quite emotional but the care, attention, and friendly atmosphere smoothed this experience and I left him there feeling confident and relaxed that his stay would be a happy experience for us both.

My Aunt and Uncle moved in about 8 weeks ago. The accommodation is 5 and the staff are so welcoming. It has made the transition from their own home into care as smooth as possible.
The outside space and easy access is perfect.

Chorleywood is a brilliant care home, spotlessly clean, with very friendly staff with a warm and welcoming reception. The rooms are spacious and with a kitchenette and a large walk-in shower with a real home-from-home feeling.

My parents both moved into Chorleywood Manor in December 2023 and are full-time residents. It was a huge step for us to move them but from the minute we first visited we knew it was the right decision. Everyone made us feel so welcome on our tour and even made me a sandwich when my stomach rumbled!
The large open reception is so welcoming and Mum and Dad are able to be together. There is always something going on to keep the residents entertained. They have 3 meals a day and there are always cakes, fruit, sandwiches, etc they can help themselves to the bistro at any time during the day. With quite different needs the staff make sure they are both always looked after encouraging mum to participate in exercises as dad sleeps a lot so she's not left on her own. It's been the best thing we did for them and puts our minds at rest knowing they are being cared for and they have a lovely little apartment.

My mother recently went to Chorleywood Manor for a two-week respite stay. From the moment we walked in, we were struck by the warmth and the smiles on the faces of the residents. My mother was made to feel so welcome and she enjoyed every minute of her stay - she was so busy, she hardly had time to
talk to us. She loved the food and all the activities and it was great peace of mind for us to know she was being so well cared for.

From the first day I visited this care home (for my mother), I saw the love and care shown to its residents. My mother became a resident and I’ve seen her improve from not being able to feed herself and communicate to doing just that! She loves all the staff there. I can see this by the smiles, laughter,
and ‘high 5’s’ she gives them all. They in turn show enormous love for my mother. I can relax, as they have all the things in place to protect her more than I could ever do. All the staff is amazing, I can never thank them enough.

Our fiercely feisty, independent mother was increasingly struggling to continue living alone (as dementia and mild Alzheimer's were taking their toll), and was unprepared to admit it. We managed to persuade her to try out Chorleywood as a respite break while we went on holiday. That was 8 months ago
and she is so happy to be there now. She has a fabulous 'apartment', she's made really close friends with other residents and she loves the staff, who she describes as 'always so kind and lovely'. She's healthier than she was at home as she eats proper meals three times a day, she's happier as she has company on tap if she wants it, she joins in lots of the activities and loves the friendly nature that permeates the home. My brother and I have been able to relax for the first time in years as we know she's in safe, caring hands and the staff are very good at staying in touch and always happy to have a chat.

Our mother initially went into Chorleywood Manor Care Home after a fall. She was adamant that she would stay in her own home. Obviously, we felt guilty about putting her in there; however, she is thriving thanks to the amazing teams - we couldn't ask for more. It has made her realise that she can’t
cope in a house on her own! It is like a 5-star hotel plus more. The whole family are always welcome, and we love to go and join in with all the amazing events they have.
A care home is down to the staff, and in my opinion, they are the best and always available to talk to.

My family were away for work and holiday for six weeks just after Mum (88) had come out of hospital. We placed her in respite care. She had company, care, something to do, someone to cook and clean for her. She saw a real doctor instead of a telephone consultation. When she came out she looked ten
years younger and considerably fitter as she had managed to walk the length of the care home rather than her sitting room. She had visitors during her stay and they were made welcome. As her son, I cannot recommend the care home enough. Communication between the home and me was excellent and always remembered that Mum still had an active brain and the ability to make decisions. Before she went in, providing sufficient care for her while working full time was killing me and not helping her to enjoy life. The staff were very respectful of what she wanted to do, pointing out activities without making her take part. Tip to others - sign the social media disclaimer to see what they get up to!

I started my role here at Signature at Chorleywood in November 2019 and it has been the best decision I ever made. I absolutely love seeing the difference we can make in people’s lives, just so rewarding.

My journey in health care started in Domiciliary Care where I worked for a few years before I transitioned to Residential Care. I started my role at Signature at Chorleywood in 2009 as a Senior Care Assistant in the Reminiscence neighbourhood. As Dementia Care Manager my passion is to ensure my team and I strive to provide the highest quality of dementia care to our residents, giving our residents and their families memories to treasure as we go through this journey together. I want our relatives to have peace of mind as they are reassured that their loved ones are in safe hands. It is rewarding when I see the difference we are making in both the resident and their families' lives. Above all, I believe that we are on this journey together.

My journey started in October 2008 when I walked through the doors for an interview as an Senior Care Assistant, I was met by the smiling welcoming face of one of our Concierge, the atmosphere was so friendly and welcoming I thought yes I can see myself being happy here, that was 12 years ago. I am now the Assisted Living Coordinator and work with a great team of Carers who are equally as passionate about the care they provide for our residents. My passion has always been to provide quality care for our residents. Creating a relationship of trust and being available to talk through any concerns or worries with both our residents and their loved ones is a priority for me.
