Montrose is a newly-built 50-bedded home, which has been tastefully furnished and equipped to a very high standard.

Residents have a choice of single or single en-suite bedrooms, all of which may be personalised.

Montrose offers a choice of lounges, a splendid dining room and fully equipped activities room. The well organised patio areas and beautifully kept gardens at Montrose offer a safe environment, with easy access pathways for outdoor activities.

This is the second time that my father has been in this care home for respite and on both occasions, we have been impressed by the way in which my father has been treated by all at the home. My father is extremely pleased with the service he received and would definitely return when the need next arises.


I

would have no hesitation in recommending the team at Montrose, Watford to anyone and many thanks again for the way you treated my father.

My mother spent a weekend here recently she stayed a few times before and although due to her dementia she doesn't remember anyone, everyone remembers her! I can go away and know she is in the best possible care! It really is a home from home for her and I know she enjoys her time at Montrose Care Home/
The staff are all lovely and welcoming, and they are extremely careful about PPE which is so important.

I came into Montrose in January from hospital expecting to stay for 2 weeks but ended up staying for 6 weeks. My stay has been excellent, the staff are all helpful, cheerful, sympathetic, nothing is too much trouble and will help anytime night or day. The home is so clean, food is excellent with choices.
The entertainment was varied and enjoyable. I would certainly recommend the home to anyone looking for care.

We have been delighted with the considerate care that our mother has received in this beautifully presented purpose-built care home. Staff are thoughtful, respectful, and work tirelessly to provide the best care for residents. The facilities are kept in immaculate condition and updated to best suit
the needs of residents and staff. Communication of any changes in health or items required for the residents is always good. It is a pleasure to visit.

My father was a resident at Montrose for over 14 months. He had very complex issues associated with vascular dementia, very poor sight and hearing loss. He had been cared for at home for many years by my mum, after a series of strokes.
The staff at Montrose were not only kind, respectful and caring
to Dad, but also welcomed Mum (pre-COVID) on a daily basis. They helped them both to adjust to a new phase in their lives, always positive and with a smile on their faces.
Through COVID, we phoned to check up on Dad and the staff updated us, as to his mood and food and drink intake - the little things that mattered to my mum. We also had some visits, post lockdown, in the garden and the staff were always helpful, so that we could get the most out of our precious time with Dad. They truly care for all the residents and work incredibly hard. Thank you.

My mother has been living at Montrose for over 3 years and is very happy with her care and lovely kind, considerate carers, as are we. The staff are all friendly and nothing is too much trouble. They make everyone so welcome. I would certainly recommend Montrose highly. You can rely on the people to

My mother has been a resident for over two years. She has dementia and has received outstanding care in Montrose from the first day she arrived. Her room is large, airy and always clean and tidy. Personal care is excellent with a hairdresser and chiropodist, all organised for her. Staff are lovely,
many long term, and a busy schedule of activities gives residents a lot of fun.

My mum has had exceptional loving and kind care especially throughout this Covid-19 period and all other times, staff are always so kind and considerate to family, friends and service users alike. I am so glad I chose this home for my mum. Thank you to all the team at Montrose from the top right to
the bottom they all do a marvellous job.
Also to say B&M care homes always keep their homes beautifully decorated with lovely furnishings.

My husband has been a resident at Montrose for over 4 years, and I feel that I could not have found a better care home for him. He is treated with kindness and respect by the care staff and is always clean and happy. I visit daily and regard the staff as my 'extended family', they are always welcoming.
Any concerns I have are always listened to and resolved by the management team. Montrose gives me peace of mind.

I stayed in Montrose care home for one-week respite care following a full hip replacement. I was made very welcome and the care provided was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They reacted quickly to my requests and always had a smile.

Mother has been in Montrose for 3 1/2 years now and her care has always been excellent. Staff are helpful and cheerful and the standard of cleanliness very high. My Mum has been in Montrose since August 2014. All the staff, carers and management are so kind to Mum. She was so ill a couple of years ago and they couldn't do enough for her. We went round several care homes and have never regretted choosing Montrose. Mum is always treated with respect and she always
looks clean and well cared for.

Jade Taylor

Job Title: Home Manager

Joined: 2022

Having started her career within care over a decade ago, Jade always says that care chose her, rather than her choosing care. She started in a role that provided care within the community, cultivating a career that enabled her to work within a variety of settings, including dementia and care for older people, as well as nursing, palliative and learning disabilities. In addition to this experience, she holds a degree in Psychology, Counselling and Therapies, and a Level 5 in Management and Leadership. Since joining Montrose Care Home in March 2022, her commitment remains the same as in her previous roles: to uphold exceptional care standards where people are at the heart of everything she does.
