Woodlands View Care Home, situated in Poplars, provides residential, nursing and nursing dementia care to older people in a kind and inclusive setting.

Each member of the team is dedicated to providing the kindest care to every resident. Prioritising dignity and choice, care services are designed to enhance residents' lives, empowering them to live as independently as possible safe in the knowledge that a caring team is always on hand.

The setting itself continues this trajectory, designed with wheelchair accessibility as well as many other amenities to promote independence, Woodlands View is a place which residents are proud to call home. Recently refurbished, the lovely sitting rooms are the perfect spot to relax, catch up on TV or enjoy the company of fellow residents. Meanwhile, the delightful landscaped garden and patio offers a great alternative for the warmer months.

The dining areas are the catering team's playground. Here, they express their creativity to offer varied menus that are as nutritious as they are delicious. They work hard to make sure that meal times are enjoyable for residents, with something to suit everyone, and are always happy to cater for visiting loved ones too.

I came into this home after having a new hip replacement, as I live alone, it was suggested for respite care. It was the best thing I have ever done, the care side is fantastic, everyone is helpful and caring. I came in hardly walking or eating. Now, I look and feel a different person. The care I have
been given is the reason I am able to go home to continue to improve. This is a well run organised care home. I would recommend it to anyone needing a care home. There is always something going on for residents. A big thank you to everyone.

My mother has been a resident of Woodlands View Care Home for about 3 years. She has lived at both Newton House and Lucas House. She came here from Lister Hospital after suffering a few falls at home. After she had settled in, she has been very happy. She has done a lot of art projects, painting etc,
she has participated in music, games, bingo etc. The food is all fresh and of excellent standard. She can sometimes be a little anxious and the staff are all very kind and helpful.

Mum went into Woodlands View at the beginning of November 2020... sadly Mum passed away on January 22nd 2021. I cannot fault the care Mum received while she was there, the staff were brilliant, they looked after Mum so well, she even started to put weight on. If anything was wrong with Mum, we were
notified straight away. A caring and loving home.

My aunty was at Woodlands View for nearly two years, and in that time, was shown such care and attention from the staff. She really enjoyed all the meals. She was always involved in activities, which ended up the highlight of her day. Thank you so much for taking such great care of her.

Myself and the rest of my father's family, wish to pass on our gratitude to all the staff of Wellfield Unit. Over the last few weeks of his life, how caring, understanding and gentle the staff have been with him, once he went on to end of life care, it must be very difficult circumstances during this
period of Covid-19. I, the youngest daughter of resident, wish to please pass on my sincere thanks to the senior carer of the unit, for her caring and kind words in a very difficult situation.

My sister was at Woodlands for a short time but in that time she expressed how lovely the staff had been and just how much food they seemed to always offer her. When she passed away, staff were very compassionate. We didn't get to see inside the home, due to Covid visitor restrictions. All in all, my
sister appeared happy and well looked after.

Dad was treated with dignity and care whilst in care at Woodlands. Whilst they had to nurse Dad during coronavirus, he was happy whilst able to before becoming ill with his illness. The nursing staff always kept in touch with us between our visits, looking through windows in spite of the Coronavirus.
The staff was always cheerful and very obliging to help us.
