My grandfather is a resident here. I cannot fault one bit about this wonderful care home. Every need is met. Not just for my grandad but all the other residents as well. I love seeing pictures of my grandad and he’s always busy. I personally think the weekly music slots are his favourite as all the
residents are having a sing-along.

My mother has been a resident here for almost eighteen months. I would never contemplate moving her anywhere else. The care staff are amazing and the activities are second to none. In fact I couldn't keep up! Probably out of the question but a minibus would be the icing on the cake.

My nan has been with the home now for a few years. When she entered, she was not given long to live. Now in the care home, she is thriving and will probably outlive us all. I am very grateful for the care she has received. The staff are lovely and respond to queries quickly. My nan seems happy.

We have experienced three-plus nursing homes over the past five years, and Solent Grange is by far the best. The manager and deputy manager are brilliant, the nurses are excellent and efficient, the carers treat residents with dignity and care, and the activity staff are fantastic.
The staff go above
and beyond in so many aspects.
I cannot fault them in any way - and I consider myself to be quite critical, particularly when it comes to the health and well-being of my mother.
I wouldn’t want my mother to be anywhere else now!

The care provided for my wife is absolutely first-class. Also, the support given to myself when suffering from extreme stress/fatigue was caring and kind, enabling me to continue to support my wife and calm her fears and worries.

Mum went from the hospital to Solent Grange at our request, as we had visited previously and were impressed! Very well run and very caring staff. She was bed-bound and asleep most of the time, but various staff checked on her regularly throughout. They were all very kind and caring. Unfortunately, Mum
passed away fairly soon but had she remained there long-term, we felt confident letting her in their care.

My aunt has been at Solent Grange for nearly 4 years. Her care has considerably improved since the arrival of the manager. My aunt is happy at the home and from what I have seen staff are very caring. The chef's food is restaurant quality. Sunday was my aunt's 90th birthday and the staff pulled out
all the stops for a great party including residents, family and friends. We paid no extra for the food and drink and again, the food provided was excellent. I would recommend Solent Grange as a place where you can feel comfortable that your relative or friend will be well cared for and happy.

It was my birthday on the 18th of November, Solent Grange Care Home gave me and my fellow residents a day to remember, excellent food, entertainment for all and I can't thank the manager and the kitchen staff and carers enough! The day was tied in with children in need and my family enjoyed sharing

My dad has been a resident here for just over a year. I have had several issues with Dad's appearance not being as he would’ve liked as he has looked quite dishevelled and his room not being kept nicely. His clothes although laundered are not ironed and often go missing. I realize with dementia he can
not always help himself re his room as he often moves things around but I have monitored his room for some time and it is evident that it isn’t kept together regularly as I would like etc. He spends a great deal of his waking time in the day room sat in front of a television and the whole point of our decision to put Dad into a care home was that when we looked after him he needed more stimulation than we could provide but I don’t feel he is getting that at Solent Grange. He is self-funding and pays a lot for his care but I don’t think he gets as good a care as he deserves and pays for. They always add extras on to the monthly bill for toenail cutting, etc when this should be part of the care.

My aunt was transferred from hospital for palliative care. Right from the beginning, the reception staff and manager were welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble. The care my aunt received was so lovely. All the nurses and staff were happy, kind, helpful, professional and there for me as much as
Aunty. Her passing was peaceful with staff helping us throughout the gradual decline. It is first and foremost a home for the resident, not just a place of work for staff. Made some lovely bonds with all at Solent Grange.

I apologise for not writing a review sooner, only the loss of my mum and brother badly affected me, and I wanted to do justice to the lovely nursing home. My mum was sent to Solent Grange from the hospital. I had a call from one lady when my mum had arrived. Mum loved her bedroom and settled very quickly.
The care and love of the staff toward Mum was exceptional. Mum loved all the staff. Her dementia and health deteriorated, but Mum couldn't have had better care. Mum treated all the staff with love, and she treated them as her family. Her end of life care was amazing, and she was treated with so much love and dignity. Thank you all so much.

My friend moved to Solent Grange just before Christmas, from the day we visited for a home tour, he was made to feel welcome.
Staff have been attentive to his needs, and I am able to visit regularly. There appears to be a good activities programme, and he tells me he enjoys the variety of choices
he is offered.
I was anxious for his move, but feel a great sense of relief knowing he is being so well cared for, and he is always extremely happy when I call or visit.
The whole team have been very approachable, and nothing seems too much trouble.

I joined Future Care Group as Home Manager of Solent Grange in June 2021. I have a passion for providing quality care and encourage feedback from our clients, their loved ones and our staff to ensure we are constantly striving to be the best we can, by understanding the needs and wishes of everyone we encounter.


Other than the beautiful location, what drew me to the home was the welcoming and happy atmosphere. Our team of dedicated staff go above and beyond to promote a person centred service and seek opportunities to incorporate innovative ideas for the benefit of those we care for. I am proud of the busy activities programme we offer and love to see the positive effects this has on our clients and staff.

I joined the Solent Grange Team in June 2023. Before this, I spent over 30 years in the Travel Industry, holding various roles in customer service management and administration. Seeking a new challenge, I gladly embraced the opportunity to work within the care sector.


I love helping and connecting with new people, making the current department a perfect fit for showcasing my excellent customer service skills. Each day brings new learning opportunities, and I thoroughly enjoy gaining knowledge and undergoing training.


Working at the reception keeps me actively engaged; I get to interact with a diverse range of visitors daily. I joined Solent Grange Nursing Home in April 2023 after working in the Funeral Industry for over 20 years. I find interacting with the Residents and their families very rewarding, and I've built good relationships with them. The job is always interesting because no two days are the same.


In my free time, I enjoy socialising with friends and family, especially with my six grandchildren who keep me busy and happy.

I started working at Solent Grange in September 2021 as a Team Leader and was soon promoted to Head of Care.

Job Title: Kitchen Manager

I joined the Solent Grange team in 2015 as an Assistant Cook. I have always worked in hospitality and have a passion for creating traditional home-cooked food. During my time as an Assistant Cook, my passion grew for preparing individual meals for our residents.


In January 2022 the opportunity arose, and I became Kitchen Manager. My role involves creating nutritionally balanced menus and maintaining a five-star safe environment for food to be prepared and eaten.
I pride myself in creating a welcoming dining space where our residents can come and enjoy their food and have a social dining room experience.


The kitchen team and I are delighted to engage with the care team and other departments when there are different events held and feel it’s my time to shine.
Outside of my work life, I’m a devoted mum and nanny. I enjoy spending time outdoors and taking my dog on long walks. I’m also a keen traveller.

After the lockdown, it was a real eye-opener for me being able to spend lots of extra time with residents and really getting to know them. When the opportunity came along at Solent Grange to be part of the activities team, I was so pleased to take the job! Now all of my focus can be on the residents and on making their days amazing, putting a smile on their faces and getting to hear all their different life stories. I love making their days as jammed-packed as possible and organizing outings so they can get out and about. I thrive off trying to make a difference for the residents and being supportive.

Job Title: Maintenance Manager

Joined: 2022

I joined the Solent Grange team as Maintenance Manager in September 2022. Prior to this, I worked in Maintenance within Manufacturing and Office environments for 12 years. It is a huge change of scenery but incredibly rewarding knowing everything I do helps towards keeping the residents safe and happy. Little things such as hanging their favourite picture on the wall give them a familiar and personal touch to their room, making them feel more at home.


Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two children as well as going on walks with our family dog.

Job Title: Clinical Lead

Joined: 2021

I joined the Solent Grange nursing team in March 2021 as an RN, transitioning from Critical Care and Interventional Nephrology Nursing to Dementia Care. While initially overwhelming as an overseas RN adapting to the UK’s health and social care ecosystem, I overcame challenges with the support of experienced colleagues and management. As a Clinical Lead Nurse, my role involves overseeing resident care, leading and mentoring our nursing team, and providing holistic dementia care that prioritises emotional, social, and mental well-being.


Passionate about creating a supportive environment where residents thrive with dignity and independence, I continually seek opportunities to expand my knowledge and stay updated with advancements in dementia care. Being a dementia nurse offers rewarding opportunities to positively impact the lives of residents and their families.
