My husband and I came here for rehab. I cannot speak too highly of the place. The staff are so kind and thoughtful, and the nursing team are excellent. The food here is so special and varied, and we have a good team here for events and of leisure. It's in a homely setting. You will love it here.

As a family, we are so pleased with the care our cousin receives at Solent Grange. Unfortunately, none of us lives close by, but we are constantly kept informed of her well-being and able to talk to her at any time. We know she is happy and that the staff encourage her to join in with the events that
take place... especially horse racing nights! We cannot thank the staff enough for looking after her so well.

Both my parents were at Solent Grange, my dad died in January and the care and compassion shown were fantastic. My mum is still there and the carers have been amazing during such a difficult time. They continue to give support to the whole family whilst doing an amazing job of caring for mum. I do think
they are underpaid and understaffed and also the cleaners and kitchen staff do a fantastic job. A big thank you to all staff.

My mother was in Solent Grange for nearly two weeks in her final days. During that time, we were fortunate to be able to see her and experience the amazing genuine care shown to her by all the staff. We are so glad she was in Solent Grange and treated with such dignity and respect. What could have been
such a difficult time for both my father and I was made easier knowing she was being treated so well by such lovely people in beautiful surroundings.

My mum was admitted in June 2017 with dementia. A harrowing decision for myself and the family. The decision could have haunted me for life! However, the loving care, attention and friendship my mum and me made here will forever be remembered. So well cared for, entertained and loved. I truly appreciate
everything about the home. I would be blessed if I ended up there myself.

My mother has been a resident for two years and recently her health started to decline rapidly. The staff and management at Solent Grange were kind and understanding during what proved to be Mum's final few weeks. They kept the family fully informed and it was a great comfort to know that she was amongst
friends as much as carers. They were always compassionate yet practical both with her and us at a difficult and emotional time.

Solent Grange is a lovely nursing home.
All the staff are friendly, helpful and caring.
The rooms are large, bright and airy and the food is good too.
My father was a resident for about 8 weeks and I feel he was treated most lovingly, with respect, kindness and consideration.
They are a credit to
their various professions.

My Grandmother never wanted to be in a care home, so it was under sufferance that we placed her in a home as she needed constant nursing care.


I am so glad to say that Solent Grange Care Home has been a true example of what care is meant to be. The staff were the most attentive, personable, caring

and compassionate people I have ever had the chance to meet and I will be forever in their debt for the kindness they showed my Grandmother and my family.


Thank you for making what can be a painful and terrifying experience of losing a loved one into a peaceful and warm event.

My Dad has been resident since May 2018. The staff and management are excellent, caring and approachable, Dad is content and for the most part and happy to be there. He cannot always remember why he is there but the staff are always patient and tolerant on his off days which due to his dementia, he
is now in his 100th year and well looked after. I am confident he is in safe hands. The home is clean, light and airy with a relaxed atmosphere and always welcoming.

My nan was made to feel very welcome here. Her room was lovely and so big. All the staff were friendly. The food looked good and everywhere is so clean.
Although Nan was only here for 2-3 weeks respite after a long stay in hospital it certainly made a difference in her recovery. We as a family have
visited many homes on the Isle of Wight for respite care for my grandparents and permanent care for other relations and I can honestly say that we have now found the best.

My mum came into Solent Grange for respite after a long stay in the hospital. From the moment she was assessed by the Manager and Deputy she was treated with such dignity and respect we were overwhelmed. Arriving at Solent Grange was lovely. Staff all smiling and welcoming. We were made to feel
at ease immediately. Mum just fell in love with all her carers and nurses - they were just so kind to her. We have a large family who came to visit mum regularly and we were all made to feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The food was lovely and the chef even came to see mum to discuss her diet. Everything just made my mum feel special and I can not thank them all enough. If you are looking for a home from home environment with excellent care then you can not go far wrong with Solent Grange.

Myself and my family couldn't have decided on a better care home. My husband has been there for a year and his care is faultless and as we visit every day we, of course, see a lot of nurses, carers, cleaners, chefs, all kitchen staff and they all work hard, are very kind and patient. Everyone is extremely
well cared for. I would like to thank every one of them for the care and love my husband receives, from the bottom of my heart.

My father came to Solent Grange for the last weeks of his life. All staff members carried out their roles with professionalism and humanity. Nurses were happy to explain what steps were being taken with his medical needs. His room was kept clean and tidy and the whole building felt spacious, light and
airy. Even in such a short time, we felt that staff had got to know him and they showed him genuine respect and care.

Job Title: Home Manager

I joined Future Care Group as Home Manager of Solent Grange in June 2021. I have a passion for providing quality care and encourage feedback from our clients, their loved ones and our staff to ensure we are constantly striving to be the best we can, by understanding the needs and wishes of everyone we encounter.


Other than the beautiful location, what drew me to the home was the welcoming and happy atmosphere. Our team of dedicated staff go above and beyond to promote a person centred service and seek opportunities to incorporate innovative ideas for the benefit of those we care for. I am proud of the busy activities programme we offer and love to see the positive effects this has on our clients and staff.

I joined the Solent Grange Team in June 2023. Before this, I spent over 30 years in the Travel Industry, holding various roles in customer service management and administration. Seeking a new challenge, I gladly embraced the opportunity to work within the care sector.


I love helping and connecting with new people, making the current department a perfect fit for showcasing my excellent customer service skills. Each day brings new learning opportunities, and I thoroughly enjoy gaining knowledge and undergoing training.


Working at the reception keeps me actively engaged; I get to interact with a diverse range of visitors daily. Meeting the families and friends of the residents is a privilege, and I take great pleasure in building strong connections with them. I joined Solent Grange Nursing Home in April 2023 after working in the Funeral Industry for over 20 years. I find interacting with the Residents and their families very rewarding, and I've built good relationships with them. The job is always interesting because no two days are the same.


In my free time, I enjoy socialising with friends and family, especially with my six grandchildren who keep me busy and happy.

I started working at Solent Grange in September 2021 as a Team Leader and was soon promoted to Head of Care.
My role gives me the opportunity to support my staff, make sure the residents feel safe and comfortable living at Solent Grange as well as support their families.


I have a passion for providing quality care and ensuring we are constantly developing and aiming to do the best we can.
I love working with my supportive colleagues and taking care of our lovely residents which give me the most rewarding feeling. It also gives me the opportunity to explore my career progression in the future.

Job Title: Kitchen Manager

I joined the Solent Grange team in 2015 as an Assistant Cook. I have always worked in hospitality and have a passion for creating traditional home-cooked food. During my time as an Assistant Cook, my passion grew for preparing individual meals for our residents.


In January 2022 the opportunity arose, and I became Kitchen Manager. My role involves creating nutritionally balanced menus and maintaining a five-star safe environment for food to be prepared and eaten.
I pride myself in creating a welcoming dining space where our residents can come and enjoy their food and have a social dining room experience.


The kitchen team and I are delighted to engage with the care team and other departments when there are different events held and feel it’s my time to shine.
Outside of my work life, I’m a devoted mum and nanny. I enjoy spending time outdoors and taking my dog on long walks. I’m also a keen traveller.

Job Title: Lifestyle Lead

I joined Solent Grange Nursing Home in February 2022. I have worked in care for 10 years now. After the lockdown, it was a real eye-opener for me being able to spend lots of extra time with residents and really getting to know them. When the opportunity came along at Solent Grange to be part of the activities team, I was so pleased to take the job! Now all of my focus can be on the residents and on making their days amazing, putting a smile on their faces and getting to hear all their different life stories. I love making their days as jammed-packed as possible and organizing outings so they can get out and about. I thrive off trying to make a difference for the residents and being supportive.

Job Title: Maintenance Manager

Joined: 2022

I joined the Solent Grange team as Maintenance Manager in September 2022. Prior to this, I worked in Maintenance within Manufacturing and Office environments for 12 years. It is a huge change of scenery but incredibly rewarding knowing everything I do helps towards keeping the residents safe and happy. Little things such as hanging their favourite picture on the wall give them a familiar and personal touch to their room, making them feel more at home.


Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two children as well as going on walks with our family dog.

I joined the Solent Grange nursing team in March 2021 as an RN, transitioning from Critical Care and Interventional Nephrology Nursing to Dementia Care. While initially overwhelming as an overseas RN adapting to the UK’s health and social care ecosystem, I overcame challenges with the support of experienced colleagues and management. As a Clinical Lead Nurse, my role involves overseeing resident care, leading and mentoring our nursing team, and providing holistic dementia care that prioritises emotional, social, and mental well-being.


Passionate about creating a supportive environment where residents thrive with dignity and independence, I continually seek opportunities to expand my knowledge and stay updated with advancements in dementia care. Being a dementia nurse offers rewarding opportunities to positively impact the lives of residents and their families.
