Brabourne Care Centre opened in 2006 and provides bespoke care packages for a range of needs from residential and dementia to convalescent and end-of-life care.

Facilities include lounges and en-suite rooms and a well established garden, where residents are encouraged to enjoy their independence and make the most of every day.

The team respond to the changing physical, personal and social needs of residents. By taking time to get to know each resident, staff are able to deliver person-centred care as well as create opportunities to meet like-minded people and make new friends.

My mother moved from hospital to Brabourne and was not walking or eating much at all. The excellent care of the home and dedicated staff have ensured progress for my mother. I am deeply appreciative of all the loving care she is receiving and help to progress. We as a family are so happy we chose Brabourne,
cannot thank them all enough.

I want to praise the staff who work on the dementia unit.
They have some challenging times there and all staff are calm and caring.
They need medals for the jobs they do.

Mum was admitted to Brabourne Care Centre in June 2022 initially on a short-term and eventually on a full-time basis. The team responsible for her care were excellent during some very challenging and difficult times for Mum and the family. The experience and dedication of the nurses helped give Mum
a certain amount of quality of life back as it meant we could take her out again on occasions. All of the carers, including the team providing her meals and refreshments were always caring and considerate, going out of their way to meet all of her needs, it was never too much trouble. The reception team were always welcoming and helpful and everyone supported us as the family. At no time did we feel concerned about the care Mum was receiving and we always knew she was also being catered for her specific diet. At the end, the team were very respectful and allowed Mum to pass away with dignity and respect allowing the family to be with her which was very important to us. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

Very friendly staff. Have been to others to visit my uncle and nowhere is as good as Brabourne Care Centre. It's so nice when the staff know what you drink and bring it to you without asking. Very impressed.

My husband has Parkinson's disease. He cannot walk now and is needing a hoist to get him out of bed and into his wheelchair. The carers look after him very well. He can experience hallucinations, dreams and confusion and they are patient with him. All the staff, carers, nurses, cleaners, and those who
provide drinks and meals acknowledge him and use his first name.

My mother was a resident for nearly a year before she passed away and was always treated well and was encouraged to join in all the activities. Every effort was made to make her feel included.

My mum spent 2 weeks of respite in Brabourne Care Centre in September. From the first day, I felt happy leaving her there. Every member of staff whatever their role was kind, friendly and approachable. They went out of their way to help and answer any concerns or questions we had. Mum of course was
a bit apprehensive on the first day but soon felt safe and comfortable. She told them that she wouldn't be joining in any activities but was kindly asked each day if she wanted to attend, which she appreciated. If the need arises for Mum to go into respite in the future, we would both choose Brabourne. Thank you.

My mum has dementia and was living independently in her own home. She wasn't coping anymore and when she went to live at Brabourne Care Centre in February, was anxious and withdrawn, seriously underweight and refused to eat, drink, wash or socialise. Through the constant care of all the staff, she has
put on some weight but more importantly, is social, relaxed and joins in all the activities. Her whole demeanour and quality of life have turned 180 degrees. I am so grateful to all the staff for the difference they have made to my mum's life and also for the support they gave me in the first few, worrying months.

My mother, who has dementia, has only been at Brabourne Care Centre a couple of months but in that time, she has thrived and I am absolutely thrilled with how well she is doing. She settled in very quickly and although she may not remember what happens from day to day because she lives in the moment,
those moments are happy and she is therefore generally brighter, happier, more active and engaged. The staff are incredibly friendly, attentive and are quick and available to manage the residents' and visitors' needs. I cannot fault Brabourne, the staff are fantastic, the environment is bright, clean and homely. Thank you Brabourne.

My sister and I were naturally anxious to find the right nursing home for our mum when it became necessary due to her deteriorating physical health and sadly her demising verbal capacity.


Bradbourne Care Centre was one that appeared suitable and she was transferred there on 20th December 2022. From

the beginning, we were pleased with the surroundings, facilities and general atmosphere, more importantly by the fabulous, patience and care of the staff in all areas. After a period of assessment, Mum was transferred with our consent to the dementia unit where she is in the best possible environment for her and cared for by excellent staff.

When Mum got over her initial fear of going into a care home, she would tell anyone who visited that the staff were always very kind and do everything they could to help her and everything was so clean. Mum made some good friends in the home and when she passed away, the staff included us in their kindness

As my dad had to go into long-term care last month for nursing care (dementia), he has settled so well. The staff are fantastic. One staff member, in particular, is amazing and keeps us up to date and I cannot fault any of the staff, they are always so welcoming and offer drinks and cakes, daily.

My mother, who had dementia, entered this care home from hospital. She was confused, upset, agitated and frightened and resistant to any personal care. She soon relaxed and told us she was happy and felt safe. She made it obvious she liked and trusted the staff. My sister visited almost every day. Mum
was always clean and well-dressed. All the staff were always friendly and welcoming. Mum sadly died unexpectedly, just after Christmas. Our family were so pleased that she was allowed her final hours in a place she felt safe, with people she knew and trusted. Thank you.

Although I do not have any comparison - my mother was well looked after and occupied during the day. She appeared clean and well-dressed. She was not lonely and appeared to enjoy the company of staff and other residents. The well-being team enabled her to communicate with me (her daughter) several times
a week. I could only be with her occasionally but it was always a positive experience. She was stimulated by staff and activities

Wonderful care home with amazing staff. They looked after my mum who was in rehabilitation. They also took great care in looking after ourselves too. They made us feel very welcome and couldn't do enough to help us all. One staff member, in particular, was amazing, making sure we were well looked after
with plenty of tea and cake! Every single staff member played a massive part in making my mum's stay, a home-from-home experience.
