Creedy House is an impressive Victorian building which has been sympathetically converted into an attractive and spacious nursing/ dementia care home.

The house has been attractively decorated and boasts elegant interiors and beautiful, accessible gardens. The dementia unit- called The Lodge, has been renovated in colors and themes to reflect the needs of those living with dementia. It has long open corridors so lots of space for those who wish to wander. The Lodge is ground level and looks over the south facing garden. The corridor has different themed sections that encourages conversations and reminesence

The home can accommodate up to 44 people who have nursing and dementia care needs. There are two rooms that accommodate a couple/ people wanting to share.

Staff provide a person-centred approach to care helping people to maintain their independence and promoting choice. Professionals want everything they do in the home to be driven by the needs, abilities, and aspirations of their residents.

Creedy House offers home-cooked food, a library, raised garden beds for green-fingered residents, music conservatory, sun lounge, quiet room and a full and diverse programme of activities. The home has a hair salon and chiropodist who visit routinely and as needed.

There is a real family feel within the Home

Staff encourage families and friends to be an active part of the community and value the role which relatives and friends play in the care of residents and provide support for them whenever it's needed.

My wife was recently taken to a nearby hospital for an appointment. Our daughter met the carer and my wife in hospital as the home suggested a familiar face would be helpful. I was unable to attend. My daughter remarked on how organised, friendly and caring she was to my wife, having organised food
and drink for her as well. My wife has severe dementia.

We are very pleased with the way everything is done here. We call and visit on the same day with no problem. My mother-in-law is comfortable and well looked after. The room and she smell nice and clean. The staff are friendly.

Since arrival, our Mum has settled in very well. She is much calmer and relaxed and feels that her needs are being met. We feel the continuity of staffing has benefited the needs of our Mum with dementia. We feel the staff are highly trained and have a great understanding of the benefits of Mum caring
for her babies- thank you! We have left the activities blank as we are unsure of the activities. We are so grateful for the whole team's dedication and commitment to providing Mum with the best possible care and support for her complex needs.

I've found that since my wife has been in care at Creedy House she is so much calmer and settled than she has been for the past 15 months. She's only been here for a couple of months and I'm very happy with her care, well-being, and attention given by all the staff. Most excellent!

The staff are very helpful always someone there when I leave to take care of my husband and settle him down as he gets very agitated when I'm about to leave. My husband enjoys the activities and when I'm there and it's music he loves to have a dance with me and a lot of the colouring he has done is
put up on the walls. I cannot find fault in Creedy at all.

Dad has been a resident at Creedy House for just over six months and has settled in well. The manager is approachable and has been supportive of us as a family. Dad's mobility issues have been addressed and although his physical and emotional needs are changing the staff have adapted with compassion
and understanding. The home is welcoming, and clean and the staff are both professional and friendly.

My mother went into Creedy House suffering from dementia, having done so for a number of years. She attacked my husband in 2022 claiming he was a burglar. The police and ambulance crews attended and it was decided for her own safety to take her to Creedy House. This was the best decision we have ever
made for her. She was very happy going there and in her own way, still. The staff love her to pieces. She loves the garden and from her window watches out for burglars in the area. Creedy House is well kept, clean with good food. My mum is well cared for and loved like one of the family. Thank you Creedy House.

I enjoy visiting my brother at Creedy House, there is always a friendly welcome by staff. Top marks for cleanliness, the communal areas are always kept clean and tidy and very nicely decorated with well-chosen colours. My brother and I enjoy sitting in the well-kept gardens and look forward to the various
garden parties throughout the year. My brother enjoys the activities throughout the week. My only concern is the quality and nutrition of the food served. Overall very happy with my brother's care.

Generally happy with the home, my wife appears content. Communication between the home and the family could be better and quicker. Plenty of activities are offered and the home is clean and safe. Staff are helpful to answer questions and booking visits is straightforward.

Mum has been extremely well looked after at Creedy House. She is stimulated with the music and other activities. Consequently, this has eased the extreme pressure on Dad when he was looking after Mum at home. Creedy staff always welcome the whole family.

Friendly, kind and welcoming staff. Any queries are addressed promptly. The home is brightly decorated with suitable background music always playing- to stimulate dementia residents. Mum's ground-floor sunny room overlooked the garden. Her family were able to visit regularly so we could continue to
interact with her (play ball games etc). She loved going around the garden, it's there to be used! She also enjoyed the regular entertainment. Again it stimulated the residents...so important! The staff looked after us as a family too, as we all had long journeys to see our lovely Mum. Lots of tea etc. Kept us going! Mum is now in a home nearer to us, it's not up to Creedys standards, so another move soon.
