Halliwell is an exceptional nursing home. It is well-run and the staff are superb. Abolutely all the staff - whether they're nurses, carers, receptionists or part of the housekeeping, restaurant, maintenance teams - engage with the residents and genuinely care about both their physical and emotional
wellbeing. It's a caring, happy place and did an excellent job of caring for my 90 year old dad.

My dad transferred to the Halliwell after a three-month stay in hospital. The staff welcomed him, his first request for a long soak in a bubble bath was carried out his first evening.
The staff were cheerful, friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

I had a close friend who was a resident at Halliwell for over 2 1/2 years and I would visit 2 or 3 times every week. Halliwell was always lovely and clean - nice, warm and comfortable, and became 'home' to my friend for her time there.


The staff were wonderful and very caring and the management were

always available, should any minor points need to be discussed.


I would have no hesitation in highly recommending Halliwell to anyone thinking of similar care for a friend or relative.

My parents have been residents of this excellent care home since October 2014. My father passed away peacefully earlier this month.
They celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in April and the social organiser and the staff went to great lengths to make it special.
A large proportion of the care
staff have been there the whole time, which indicates their job satisfaction.
An excellent home.

After suffering bowel and bladder cancer since 2015 and many stays in hospital, our daughter thought we needed a break. She did her homework and came up with Halliwell. Being so near to her home it was a bonus and she couldn't have chosen better. We applied and were accepted. The care was superb and
we had a much-needed rest. The care, staff, food, ambience and the chefs. It couldn't be faulted, the only complaint it went too quickly.
Our daughter is first class considering her husband is suffering from Parkinson's.

My father spent a few months at Halliwell Care Home after suffering a stroke. We were impressed by the way in which my father was treated as an individual and with great care and dignity. Staff at Halliwell Care Home took time to keep myself and other members of our family well informed at all times.

Halliwell had a room available and we were able to get Mum settled in very efficiently and quickly.
Mum was made very comfortable and welcome in a lovely room.
Every member of staff was wonderful and Mum received exceptional care from a very professional and friendly team.
Whilst Mum was able enough,
she enjoyed some of the many activities, especially the flower arranging group. She had her hair done in the in-house Hair Salon and she was taken in her wheelchair to the beautiful dining room to enjoy freshly cooked lunches with fellow residents, or visiting friends and family.
She loved being taken to the pretty garden when the weather was pleasant.
Family and friends were always made welcome. Mum was always clean, dressed, well fed, comfortable and very content.
Mum spent her last six months of life at Halliwell. The staff and management kept us completely informed on her medical condition and ongoing care.
We couldn't have wished to find a better place for Mum than Halliwell.

I cannot recommend Halliwell more highly. Halliwell was home to my mother. The staff were exceptionally kind and caring and always made the family welcome. The activities arranged by the Friends of Halliwell were the icing on the cake. The restaurant downstairs, hairdresser and garden all added to the
feeling of home.

A truly excellent care home. I cannot fault it. My father, age 96 and very independent, spent two weeks there for respite care. The staff were excellent and I had no qualms about him being in their care. I am trying to convince him to go there permanently as he lives on his own. He says he has no objection
to going back, but might wait until he is a bit older.

We as a family required respite for our father in August in order for our elder sister, his main carer to have a well-deserved break.
Halliwell Care Home ticked all the boxes for us. We knew that Dad was in safe hands with staff who were respectful, patient, and caring and met all his needs. The
Location is perfect being in the centre of Tunbridge Wells with lovely grounds where we were able to take Dad in a wheelchair and have afternoon tea. The dining room is a sociable area for residents to eat together if they so wish or you can opt to have your meals in your room. There is also entertainment provided to entertain residents also there is access to hairdressing and a Chiropodist . We can't recommend Halliwell Care Home highly enough.

The Manager and her team made my father exceptionally welcome and arranged for him to come and stay at very short notice over the Christmas period in 2015. My father was very well looked after in all respects in a very comfortable and safe environment

Both my father (who died in May this year) and my mother were admitted to Halliwell in July 2014. The staff and facilities are marvellous and I have been very happy with the way our family have been treated - from the rather sudden admission, through dad's declining and now looking after mum.

My mother moved to Halliwell Care Home in June 2016 following a fall in which she broke her hip. She was no longer able to live on her own. she had a lovely room with a good en-suite in which she could have a shower quite easily with help. Halliwell Care Home has several lounges which are like rooms
in your own home and a beautiful dining room. The garden is a wonderful space and mum enjoyed being taken there in a wheelchair. The food was always good - with great choices. Most importantly, she had wonderful care from kind, compassionate, thoughtful and caring staff - at all levels. It was never going to match her own home, but they did their best to make it as good as possible. She sadly died 10 weeks ago and her end was made as comfortable as possible for her and as a family.

All staff are friendly, caring and professional. Management is also very caring and "hands on". It is inevitable that problems occur in a residential home but these were dealt with promptly, efficiently and satisfactorily.

My father went into Halliwell Care Home at the beginning of December 2015 having been diagnosed with prostate cancer that had spread extensively, leaving him paralysed below the chest. He died on the 26th of January 2016.
He required full time nursing care throughout. He was treated with great kindness,
respect and made as comfortable as possible throughout his stay by every employee he came in contact with. For the family members and friends who visited him, we were made to feel welcome and our privacy respected. Although a very trying and difficult time for us, everyone at Halliwell was wonderful.
