My mum has been in Chesterfield House just over two years, she is well cared for in every way. Good food, good personal care, the staff are very good with her, she has dementia, they are patient and kind. The manager is very easy to talk to and understanding. I never worry that mum is ok because she
is always happy, they have got to know mum and her ways and care accordingly. Very pleased.

A well run home that responds quickly to difficulties that arise from unplanned absenteeism. There is a core team of experienced carers who provide nursing cover at short notice when required. Food is provided by an experienced chef, but quality is influenced adversely at times by the suppliers selection
of produce of which she has no control. The level and style of activities provided appear adequate for residents needs.

My uncle who is a disabled war veteran, fought with the Parachute regiment at the Battle of Arnham, has been cared for at Chestfield House for the last three years. He is an amputee with failing eyesight, requiring sensitive and caring nursing. Apart from providing excellent professional care, I have
always been impressed by the warmth and friendliness of the staff looking after him and the homely atmosphere at Chestfield House. I am very grateful for this as he reaches the end of his life. The cook would always enquire as to his preferences with a soft diet, I have been kept informed of his personal requirements by the nurses and feel confident to be able to ask and discuss issues with the manager.
