My mother was sent to Newington Court nearly a year ago from hospital.
She has settled in very well and she trusts the carers and nurses with her medical and personal care. All staff are helpful and friendly. Myself and family are welcome any time. We can join in with activities too. I am content
and happy with all her care.

Lovely activities today. Thank you for making it fun. We would like more activities, that will help with the festive cheer. Overall, we are happy with the care. Can we join Nan for lunch on Christmas, that would be lovely? The team on the nursing unit were very helpful.

This review relates to Falcon Lodge.
Most impressive is the quality of care given by staff at the lodge. They are all so very good and the way visitors are treated, like myself, could not be better.
The premises is always clean and the bedroom is immaculate.

My wife came to the home via hospital and had a terminal illness. Also, the home was recommended to the family and I am pleased to report that we were not disappointed. The home itself was excellent and the facilities in my wife's room were beyond reproach. The staff were very caring and helpful and
made my wife's short stay, before her passing, as comfortable as possible. For my part, I was treated with respect and care. The refreshment facilities for visitors were excellent. I would have no problem in recommending this home.

Nurses and carers are always on hand whatever time you visit, day or night. They always keep the family well informed of any changes made to resident's care and reasons. Management is happy to talk at any time if they were needed and helpful receptionists.
My husband could not be in better hands. I
can leave him after a visit knowing he is well cared for and in a happy environment.
Barchester Newington Court Care Home does feel like a family home, lots of laughs and banter amongst staff and residents although we all know what a really tough job caring for people can be. The staff have to meet and deal with so many different residents' needs.
I have, over time, spent many hours at Newington Court and they do now feel like family to me.
I feel so pleased and lucky to have my beloved husband in such a home.

My husband has been in your care since July 2023. He has been looked after with so much care and attention, couldn't wish for a better place for him. Everyone goes to such lengths to keep him (and other patients) comfortable.

Mum was very poorly when she came to Barchester Newington Court Care Home. They have nursed her back to health with their care and support, so much so, she has been able to return to her own home. The staff threw a lovely surprise afternoon tea party (to which my sister, brother and I were invited)
before she left and was also given some lovely gifts. We can't thank Newington Court enough for taking such good care of Mum.

I speak for all my family in saying just how wonderful the care has been for my dad who has been in Newington Court since last year.
Whilst the personal care given to my dad by the staff is exemplary, the emotional connections that the staff have made with Dad and the way they genuinely care for him
as a person go beyond what we could have hoped. It really feels as though Dad is being cared for by an extended family and God bless you all at Newington Court for that.

Our family have been very pleased with the care Mum has received whilst at Newington Court. All the staff have been friendly, helpful, courteous, professional and work as a team. They certainly go the extra mile to ensure the residents have the best care.
Mum was initially reluctant to take part in
any activities and socialising but the staff gradually succeeded in her becoming involved in activities, having her hair done, sitting in the dining room and even trips out for lunch and the cinema.
The interior of Newington Court is very comfortable, tasteful and homely. The bedrooms are a good size and well furnished. Perhaps an extra surface or table would have been useful but you can take in extra furniture if needed.
As our visits involved a lot of travelling, a cafe area enabling us to have a hot drink and cake was very much appreciated.

We placed my dad in the care of Newington Court Care Home when his cancer progressed and he could not stay at home anymore.
The care my dad received was outstanding. Every staff member went above and beyond to make sure my dad was looked after and comfortable. His room was kept clean at all times.
My dad's personal care was always exceptional and all meals served were of a high standard. Unfortunately, we lost my dad to cancer while he was in the care home. I can not thank the staff enough for all the help and understanding they showed at this difficult time.
When you go into the home everyone is always smiling and always activities for the residents if they wish to join in.

Friendly staff and welcoming, bright clean home. When I visit I always hear laughing and see smiling faces, both staff and residents. I enjoy visiting my family member here and I know she is being very well cared for.

Since my mum has been here I have never seen her so clean and tidy. The manager does her job beyond her means and she is so supportive of my mum and of us as a family, excellent staff.

I would like to thank one lady for her loving bedside care towards my aunt. The little extra goes a long way - thank you! All the staff are very good and caring. It's nice to have a cup of fresh coffee and cake whilst we have a break from sitting with my aunt. The cakes are always fresh and good variety

I find all the carers at Falcon Place to be very attentive and exceptionally caring. They all go the extra mile. A very good team. We are always informed of any little concerns and are happy to update me when I telephone to check how my loved one is. When we visit, on our weekly visits, always say the
girls/carers are "so kind"! So reassuring to me and my family.

Have recently moved a close family friend into Falcon Court in Newington Court Care Home and have been so pleased with the way they have been looked after and settled in. We took a long time choosing the right place and are very happy with our choice.

My mother has been a resident at Newington Court Care Home since April 2021. She has deteriorated physically and mentally due to her medical condition during this time. However, she is fully supported by the carers on her floor who treat her with kindness and dignity at all times.
I visit 3/4 times
a week and am always warmly welcomed with offers of cups of tea if needed! The staff are always busy but find the time to keep me informed of positive developments or concerns. I know I can always phone the staff if the need arises and they will phone me when necessary.
Newington Court is run and maintained to high professional standards.

The staff are always friendly and helpful, and you can see that they all care bout everyone they are dealing with.
I have always been able to speak to someone to ask questions about care/food and how mum is doing.

The care my husband has received in the 17 months he has been there has been absolutely faultless. The carers are patient and are good at listening to the residents, they are patient and kind and caring and very professional.
The admin staff and all staff have been hard working and reassuring the
family during the lockdown.

Hello, I’m Phillis and I’m the General Manager. I have devoted over a decade of my life to the healthcare sector and I have particularly enjoyed working with the team at Newington Court. My passion for providing quality care to the elderly and vulnerable has been the driving force behind my successful career. Throughout the years, I have honed my skills and gained invaluable experience in managing a care home and I have demonstrated my unwavering commitment to the wellbeing of the residents.


My journey in the healthcare sector began shortly after completing my nursing qualification in Zimbabwe. Eager to make a difference in the lives of others, I found myself drawn to pursue a career in Elder Care. I joined Newington Court in 2017 as a Registered Nurse and I worked my way up to a management position. I enjoy staying up to date with the latest developments in the healthcare sector and networking with other professionals.


I value the opportunity to exchange knowledge and ideas that aim to enhance the quality of care that we provide.


I find fulfilment in leading my team to provide exceptional care and support to residents. As a General Manager, I thrive in creating a positive and inclusive work environment for the team, where they can be motivated to deliver their best. As a Deputy General Manager, I bring years of dedicated experience in nursing and healthcare management to the team. Known for my unwavering commitment to resident care, I have demonstrated exceptional leadership abilities which I have gained from various clinical settings.


Starting my career as a registered nurse I quickly rose through the ranks, showcasing a deep understanding of nursing protocols, compassion for residents and an ability for problem solving. My passion for continuous learning led me to pursue my Level 5 Leadership and Management training equipping me with the skills I need to excel in my leadership role.


In my current position as a Deputy General Manager, I play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth operations within the nursing home. I oversee the whole team guiding, mentoring and supporting to ensure optimal resident care.


I collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to develop and implement the highest standards of care.

During my long career within the hospitality industry, I have had the pleasure of working at some iconic and well-known restaurants and hotels such as The Ivy and The Great Eastern Hotel. I have also worked at the Hawksmoor Steak Restaurant and the Palm Steak and Lobster Restaurant in Washington DC and London. Tiffany joined Newington in 2021 as a Senior Nurse. She is a very experienced nurse and has now been promoted to Unit Nurse Manager on our Memory Lane unit. As well as superb communication skills that have enabled her to develop a good rapport with residents, their families and staff, Tiffany possesses excellent observation skills and is knowledgeable and driven.

I have been working at Newington Court since September 2023. I was promoted to Lead Activities Co-ordinator in July 2024. I am an enthusiastic and dedicated member of the activities team who is passionate about creating engaging, imaginative and memorable activities for all our residents to enjoy, both in a group environment and on a one-to-one basis. The wellbeing of our residents is my priority, and I believe it is essential to offer a wide selection of activities which benefit the residents physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. I really enjoy helping our residents to live their lives to the full!
