Kippingtons Nursing Home in Sevenoaks provides residential, nursing and dementia care for up to 50 elderly people, including trial stays, short stays, convalescent care and long-term care for individuals or couples.

At the home, all staff are highly trained to offer the best care and support to all residents, including their own dementia training, which addresses the importance of meaningful activities and a stimulating environment and an improved dining experience for residents living with dementia and or dysphagia.

Formerly known as Kippington Grange, the house was originally built in 1874 as a grand private family home. Steeped in history and provenance, the house is reputed to have had connections with Thomas Farnaby and Jane Austen. The sensitively converted Victorian property boasts scenic surroundings and is located a short distance from the market town of Sevenoaks. Its proximity to the centre of town makes Kippingtons fully accessible to local shops and amenities. The home is set within landscaped gardens with views which extend for nearly two miles.

We are very happy with the care that is shown to my mother. She is well looked after very well and nothing is too much trouble for the staff, they are always willing to help us with any questions and worries we have about her.


We would certainly recommend Kippingtons to friends seeking similar care

for their loved ones.

Mum was apprehensive about going into Kippington but the visit by the manager to our home prior admission completely allayed any fears she had.
The welcome Mum received, together with the kindness shown by all staff, was reassuring that we had made the right decision. Her room was well appointed with
ornaments and flowers and a welcoming card awaited her, signed on behalf of the staff.
Six weeks later and Mum is completely at home: she has made several friends, not only residents but many staff.


Mum is 102 years old and registered blind but still shows her wonderful disposition which has helped her to settle in and feel at home. The staff are so attentive and caring and Mum says 'very discrete'. The daily activities are really well thought of. I visit Mum each day and there always seems to be laughter. She enjoys mealtimes, the varied menu and never stops telling me that she wants for nothing and there is always something to do.

Kippington administered my mother within two days, at a time when I could not cope with looking after her at home. The staff went out of their way to help at a bad time for me. The staff are all very friendly and the service is excellent.

The carers are very attentive.
There is a bit of a delay in answering calls for help, there are no means of calling for help for residents in the lounge if no carer is present.
Generally very good experience. My mother has been well cared for and given personal towels too which is nice.

Although there are no static call bells in the lounge, each resident is provided with a wireless call bell whilst in the lounge and conservatory should they need to use it, there are also always colleagues on hand to ensure residents safety and an activities coordinator who is able to offer a variety of activities. We always welcome comments and suggestions and the opportunity to improve and we hope you will continue to share your thoughts with us in the home in future.

My father has been a resident at Kippington for two years. He was very poorly when he arrived, but the care and medical attention he has received means he has thrived and enjoys his life at Kippington. All the staff are very caring and engage with all the residents. Meal times are excellent. Staff always
address our concerns or worries and strive to resolve them. They communicate and share information effectively. Kippington meets all our expectations.

I usually wait for a long time when I press the button, this is possibly due to the carers not given sufficient time per resident and due to insufficient staffing. I cannot comment on the activities as I do not participate due to my loss of sight and hearing difficulties. With reference to the food
many dishes are not suitable for my age group 95 and are usually cold. The carers are very good and treat me well.
