Staplehurst Manor is a beautiful home, which welcomes anyone in need of nursing or residential care, including those living with Parkinson’s. Nurses are on duty at all times for residents in need of nursing care, which is particularly helpful if their condition requires regular medical attention.

They're in a picturesque spot between the High Wield and the Kent Downs, both areas of outstanding natural beauty and surrounded by open fields and woodland, but Staplehurst village is just a mile away. There you’ll find shops, pubs, churches and a library.

The house is beautifully decorated and furnished, with high ceilings and lots of natural light. There are lovely arched windows, parquet floors, stained glass and a sweeping staircase.

There are lots of places to relax here. Residents can have a little pampering in the salon, settle down quietly with a book, or catch up with a loved one over coffee and cake in one of the lounges. Outside, they can enjoy very large grounds, where there’s a courtyard garden with a pretty fishpond and terrace. There’s also a wildlife pond, and peaceful woodland walks for those who are able.

This is a warm and friendly community, not only for residents but for their friends and family, too. The activity coordinator makes sure there’s something for everyone, including those who are less mobile.

They prepare delicious meals which residents can enjoy in their beautiful, spacious dining room or in the comfort of their own room. There are plenty of favourites on their menu, with themed meals for special occasions.

Found the staff very caring and helpful, but some afternoons there doesn't seem to be any staff available to take wheelchair patient to toilet etc, leading to some uncomfortable moments. On a personal level, I've only had this occurrence once in three months stay here, so realise how hard the staff
work for our comfort.

I spent 12 days recovering at Staplehurst Mannor after knee surgery. My room was very comfortable and well equipped, the food was excellent, and I was looked after brilliantly. A big thank you to all who work there.

The care my mum has there is second to none. Considering she shouldn't even be there, having no savings or property, was sent there because of negligence in hospital. She's so lucky they wouldn't let her go. Knowing many of the staff personally, prior to her going, means I know she's safe in the best
hands. I'm disabled myself, I couldn't care for her enough, couldn't physically manage her. What they all do for her is astounding. I think she's the most content she's ever been in her life, she's safe, loved and respected.

Following a brief period on the hospital, Dad was welcomed into the care home. The nursing care has been excellent in treating his injury and doctors have been arranged as required.

This review will be the last I write. My mother died on the 28th of September. During the time before her death, I witnessed the care and attention the staff gave my mother as she deteriorated. I am grateful to them, a lovely bunch of people dedicated to the care of their residents until the inevitable
end. I shall miss their friendship.

The home sends us weekly update letters which allows me to know my aunt is keeping well also photo's of her doing activities, skype calls. I can't thank the home enough for all they do and care given is wonderful. My aunt always tells me how lucky she is finding Staplehurst Manor. Bupa has a very well
managed home to be proud of.

The care my mother received in Staplehurst for the last three years has been excellent. She has been unwell several times with chest infections and each time has recovered under their care. She has now reached 100 during lockdown period and whilst we as a family have not been able to visit, we have
talked and smiled at her through the window of her room.

The instant one walks through the door is to realise this home is different. The atmosphere is at once welcoming and friendly, but also happy. Staff are happy and most competent; they are there for you. I have seen many touching instances of compassionate care with older clients. Very comfortable as
well as being a beautiful house and lovely gardens. This has been my 'holiday' - money well spent. Thank you ladies.

My mother-in-law has been in Staplehurst Manor for over 4 years and she continues to be well cared for, always looking smart, often with her nails painted. The activities organisers do a great job with a range of daily activities which have really helped to lift her mood and keep her stimulated.

Mum stayed at Staplehurst when she needed extra support and could no longer manage at home. Mum was a little apprehensive about moving to a care home but the staff at Staplehurst made her so welcome. She was reassured and they did their best to cater to her needs. Staplehurst Manor is a lovely country
house type home and together with the excellent staff (from management to everyone) make this a lovely, happy, safe, friendly place to spend your final days.

I will have worked at Staplehurst Manor for 20 years this September. I started as a chef assistant, completed my level 3 apprenticeship and was promoted to chef manager, and I've not looked back since.


I work with the most amazing people who really, genuinely care about what they do and about the residents in our home. No day is the same and it feels like having a huge extended family here.


I live locally with my husband, daughter and our Labrador who we enjoy going on long walks. I am a huge Chelsea FC fan and I even got the chance to watch the 2012 Champions League final in Munich.

Working at Staplehurst Manor has allowed me to gain experience, knowledge and confidence in my work throughout the years. During my time here I've passed my Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship and I'm currently working towards my Level 5 Leadership in Adult Care apprenticeship so I can become a qualified manager.


My favourite thing about working here is how friendly all our teams are, it really feels like a family to anybody that walks through the door.

I've worked for Bupa for over 25 years now. My current and main job is as a Kitchen Assistant however I've also worked as a Resident Hairdresser, in the Housekeeping and Kitchen departments too.


I love interacting with the residents and learning all about their lives and their past. I've got great work relationships and over the years I've made a lot of friends with my colleagues too.


I like to keep active and do all sorts such as aqua aerobics, gardening and going on walks with my dog. I enjoy spending time with my friends going out for meals and going on holidays too.

My previous job roles include carer, senior carer, team leader, deputy unit manager, unit manager and home manager.


My career in the sector began as an Auxiliary Nurse in a hospital. I was in this role for 3 years and left to start a family. When my youngest child turned 9, returned to work as a carer in a Bupa Care Home.


I was one of the first carers to complete their NVQ as they were introduced right as I began my role as a carer, and it gave me the opportunity to travel around other Bupa Care Homes as an NVQ assessor which was a great experience.


I always go home feeling proud that I have provided a service that makes someone feel safe and happier.


When I began to work at Staplehurst Manor, I fell in love with the area and the countryside so I decided to move close to the home where I now live with my family.

My previous job roles include carer, senior carer, team leader, deputy unit manager, unit manager and home manager.


My career in the sector began as an Auxiliary Nurse in a hospital. I was in this role for 3 years and left to start a family. When my youngest child turned 9, returned to work as a carer in a Bupa Care Home.


I was one of the first carers to complete their NVQ as they were introduced right as I began my role as a carer, and it gave me the opportunity to travel around other Bupa Care Homes as an NVQ assessor which was a great experience.


I always go home feeling proud that I have provided a service that makes someone feel safe and happier.


When I began to work at Staplehurst Manor, I fell in love with the area and the countryside so I decided to move close to the home where I now live with my family.
