My mother moved into Westbank Care Home after a fall with complex injuries and a number of weeks stay in hospital. The care has been amazing with a lot of attention to detail. All the staff are very caring and professional. I would highly recommend this care home.

My Mum is about to celebrate her 92nd birthday at Westbank Care Home which is amazing, considering she entered Westbank at age 89 with a bedsore so severe it had infected her spine and the hospital said there was no hope of a recovery. She was extremely anxious and frail on arrival and looked neglected
after several weeks in hospital but the dedicated care provided at Westbank over the last 2.5 years has meant she's made a full recovery from the infection and the bedsore has finally healed. Although bedbound since contracting COVID in 2020 Mum now visits the lounge and is generally content and well. I cannot thank Westbank enough for all the care the staff have provided and for the efforts made to comfort her and keep her well.

This care home has a warm and cosy family atmosphere. We chose Westbank for my mother after mother-in-law had short stay. Visitors are made to feel very welcome and are invited to numerous fun events throughout the year. My mother has settled very well and appears very happy. I have never had any concerns
about her welfare and I can't speak highly enough of the very caring staff. I would have no hesitation in recommending this care home to others.

Very pleased with the care mum is receiving. Since being at Westbank Care Home her overall health and outlook have improved vastly. She likes very much that the staff are not pushy or insistent. Mum very much enjoys the entertainment.

It was a very difficult decision to move my Mum into a care home. However as soon as my Dad and I walked through the door of Westbank, we knew it was the right place for her. It is bright and airy, with beautiful grounds, and always welcoming.
My Mum was a resident there from February 2020 until August
2023. Throughout her time there, she was extremely well cared for by all the kind and thoughtful staff. During COVID, they became family to her, as we were unable to visit. My mum had a great love of music, and they would regularly play her favourite music.
The activities arranged for the residents are well planned and varied and the residents seem to have a really good time.
The current manager is very approachable and is a real asset to Westbank, knowing her staff and residents' needs very well.
I would highly recommend Westbank as a care home.

I wanted to write to express my deepest gratitude to Westbank and the whole team of nurses, carers and staff who looked after my father until sadly he passed away last December. He was really poorly, 93 years old and not always the easiest patient! Yet he was shown patience and kindness always.
The
support to the family and, more importantly, my dad during his stay was second to none - making sure he was well cared for, listened to, assisted and made comfortable at all times.
I would like to give special recognition, in particular, to one member of staff - the sweetest person who went above the 'call of duty' even outside of her working hours to check on him and support him and the family, we could never thank you enough - bless you.

I like the ground floor, with windows, so you can see your loved ones. The external grounds are nice too, especially with the table and chairs under the trees.
My mother's care and support overall is good and the 24 hour facility is necessary. The new care home manager has a good grasp of nursing
care, which is very useful.

My mother moved into Westbank in February 2020, just three weeks before lockdown. During that unprecedented and unpredictable time, it was a great comfort to know that she was safe and well cared for there. Having now been at Westbank for 3.5 years, I can honestly say that my mother looks better now
that when she moved in! She is safe and happy and, thanks to all the staff, she has a very good quality of life. For anyone worrying about their loved one needing to go into a home, I would definitely recommend they consider Westbank.

My brother entered this home requiring nursing care in April 2023. He then went into palliative care in late May 2023 and passed in early June, two days before his 84th birthday. I was completely satisfied with the staff, all were so helpful, right down to the handyman. Thank you all for making my brother's
last days comfortable and full of laughter. Everyone, right down to the cleaner, would ask as they passed his door "How are you today?". God bless you all for making the last weeks of his life comfortable.

Words alone cannot describe my gratitude and thanks to everyone who works here. The staff and I mean all the staff there, from registered nurses, through to carers, support and ancillary staff were amazing. So caring, professional, and certainly appeared to genuinely care for my father's wellbeing and
needs. A great team of caring professionals. Sadly, in the end, my father only experienced this wonderful care for three weeks as he was effectively in his 'end of life' needs, although he was fully aware and lucid until the last few days. I am so truly grateful for the level of care he received, the way in which he was welcomed, cared for and treated with absolute care, respect and empathy. My father simply couldn't have ended his life in a better, more appropriate, or well managed environment. Thank you everyone at Westbank Care Home, you are all absolute angels. In memory of my father, with you for only a short time, but at a crucial point in his life. Bless you all.

My father came to stay at Westbank in October 2020, as we could no longer give him care at home. Because of the national lockdown, we were unable to visit any home, but looking at reviews left on the Westbank website, we felt reassured that it was a good caring place for him to be, and we were glad
we did. We felt he had exceptional care throughout his final months, always in his own clothes and always clean. We have heard awful stories about other care homes where the residents have other people's clothes on and look unkempt. Our only comment for improvement to the home would be the communication with the family could be improved, apart from that just keep doing what your great at, a massive thank you to all the staff who work so hard.

We were very happy in all respects regarding the care that my aunt received at The Westbank Care Home in Borough Green. The people who work at Westbank are very caring and professional, without exception. Westbank does not feel like a care home, but more like your relative is staying in a normal 'home'.
I think the layout of Westbank is very conducive to being a welcoming place to stay, it is light and airy and with plenty of large communal spaces for residents to meet and enjoy each others' company and also the entertainment and activities laid on by the very friendly carers at Westbank. We visited 5 other care homes but we instantly liked Westbank and felt that this was the ideal place for my aunt to stay and be looked after.

I was always grateful to all the staff at this home. My sister-in-law had a nice room and was comfortable in the surroundings. She put on weight once she got to this care home (many thanks to the chef) and I could see an improvement in her after a few months, she had not been looking after herself properly
for a little while.
The activities were there for residents to join in and my sister in law always enjoyed the dancing, she wore me out just looking at her. She eventually got into colouring which I think helped relax her a bit.
In her time there when the weather was nice we could sit out in the garden and have a drink. The grounds there are well-tended.

My Mother was in Westbank for 2 years. From the beginning, we were very happy with everything. All the staff had cared for the residents and all the staff knew the residents. Whenever we arrived for a visit whichever member of staff we saw they knew how Mum was and where she was. The activities were
well done and kept the residents interested. My Mother has always been a bit of a fussy eater with a small diet and although she liked to moan sometimes she regularly said the food was good, and always commented, "that's the chef he's good" when the chef was in the dining room. When Mum's condition deteriorated the nursing care she received was top rate, we were kept informed of her condition, and we were treated with the best of respect in difficult times. My niece, Mum's granddaughter when she first went to Westbank, having been to several care homes said this was the best she had seen. She was not wrong.

My wife has been a resident for the past three months - two and a half of which have been in lockdown. I and the rest of my family cannot speak too highly of the care and love my wife has been shown. It has been outstanding and a great comfort for all of us to know that she is being so well looked after.
