Wilmington Manor provides a peaceful place for residents to receive residential and nursing care in a safe and homely environment. People requiring respite, convalescence and palliative care are also welcomed into the home.

Converted and extended from a manor house, residents keen on gardening are encouraged to participate, whether lightly or regularly depending on how they please.

The home has two lounges to choose from at the home, as well as the dining room, and if they prefer residents are free to dine in the comfort of their own room. Seasonal menus are created by the home’s chef who understands the needs and tastes of each individual.

There’s a real sense of community at the home. The staff work to discover what residents enjoy doing and the home's social calendar is organised around those interests. Dedicated activity coordinators help ensure residents are able to pursue their hobbies and interests, as well as organising a range of activities which include bingo, quizzes, flower arranging and music sessions, there is so much for residents to enjoy. Regular trips out are also enjoyed as are shopping trips and themed monthly events.

My wife was transferred from hospital into your care and has received courtesy and respect from all staff. She is comfortable and confident with the treatment she's receiving. Her personal needs are attended to promptly and satisfactorily.

Since my mother was taken ill at the beginning of the year she has been in a lot of pain and been moved from one hospital to another. Since coming to the home she has been a lot more settled and we now get a nice smile when we visit!

For the last eleven months of her long life, mum was always treated with care, respect, dignity and love right to the end of her days. Mum was happy and enjoyed the company and friends she made, she never regretted moving into Wilmington Manor. Food was good and very regular and her room was always
clean. Staff were always helpful and willing to make time to talk to family and communication was good. Caring support was given to Mum and our family during her last weeks. This was invaluable to the family and ensured we made the right choices for mum at that difficult time, as a result, it gave mum a peaceful departing in a caring and loving environment.

My mother spent the last week of her life at Wilmington Manor after a 10-week stay in hospital. It was a relief to all the family to be treated so considerately and kindly by all the staff at Wilmington.
My mother was looked after very well by caring staff and was made comfortable during her last week.

Wilmington Manor Care Home is a lovely care home. Of course, there are things wrong with it but on the whole, my dad is well cared for.


Positives: Caring staff, good food, nice room.
Negatives: There isn't always enough staff, especially at the weekends or if somebody calls in sick, but that could

happen at any nursing home. Not enough outings. My dad went on quite a few years ago but they do not have the staff which is a shame. The staff are always cheerful and look after my dad very well. The manager is always approachable as is all the staff.

Satisfactory home. Staff excellent. The problem is there are no other patients to converse with. Patients asleep or advanced in illness. Very depressed at the present time.

In the short time my mother has been here, she has been treated with kindness and dignity by all the staff. It's just a shame she was not really aware of her surroundings but when she was here for respite in March, she enjoyed the interaction with the staff and residents. Thank you.

I found the nursing staff kind and helpful both to my brother and myself. His room and toilet are clean and my brother is well taken care of. Thank you to all the nursing staff for looking after my brother, I appreciate all that is done for him.

I found the accommodation very pleasant and comfortable surroundings.
My brother in law's room was well equipped and adequate for his needs.
The food served looked appetising and despite having mouth ulcer problems he ate heartily.
Both his sister and I travelled from Somerset and were made very
welcome.
The clinical service manager was very open and helpful.

Our mum suffered a stroke leaving her without speech. Staff quickly developed good relationships with her and have learnt to communicate with her using a variety of methods. The nursing team have been excellent especially one who has been communicating with us, a family, to keep us updated. She has
a wonderful relationship with mum and we know mum is safe in the care provided. Her room is bright and clean and is appropriate for her needs.

Very friendly staff, very accommodating and speaks to my Nana with respect and kindness. It was always a worry my nana moving into a care home, but the staff and nurses have made the transition much easier. We have put all of Nana's photos and comforts from home into her room and the care home will
let her make it feel like home. Very pleased so far!

Very nice surroundings, quiet place and very good maintenance. Friendly and caring nurses who do more than they need. Reliable and friendly and you are welcome anytime, help with questions and one knows that your relative is handled well and being looked after 24 hours.
