Thank you for your review we are of course extremely disappointed that the care standards were not up to expectations. We have a strong set of values and standards as an organization these of course take time to become embedded in the home. We have been working tirelessly since taking the home over 4 months ago and have received very positive feedback from many family members. I see that the review relates to September 2022 when the home was owned by the previous owners, I believe if you visited us again you would see a great improvement. I have been in a caring environment since 1984, I started out as a 'tea girl'. I then worked up to being a carer, was giving out medication at 15 years old and worked nights too. I had a short break to have my first 2 children and worked in a different role but soon went back to it as I missed it so much. I then wanted to achieve more and make more differences to improve the care that we delivered. I then started working for a charity as a care co -ordinator, went to the deputy level and then the manager left, I then took that role too. In 2005 I completed my RMA and have been a registered manager for the last 18 years with a total of 39 years in the care environment. I have fire in my belly for a good work ethic and am very passionate about ensuring that residents are treated as an individual and not just a number. I have dedicated my career to looking after vulnerable people and doing my utmost to put a smile on their faces. I love to hear about someone's life with the ups and downs as it won't be too long and the older generation will be gone forever with their memories of their childhoods, the war and the hard times that they survived. I do this job as I love it, it's not a job, it's a complete vocation.
