Copper Beeches Care Home is located in Borstal - a suburb of Rochester in Kent.

Copper Beeches is a purpose-built home with large outdoor spaces. The home has a patio area which is perfect in the Summer months for residents to take advantage of.

Residents are free to use the communal areas of the home if and when they please - most like to pursue their hobbies or just socialise with friends.

All bedrooms at the home are tastefully decorated but can be changed to suit the resident. The majority of the rooms have en-suite facilities included.

Both staff and management are welcoming and supportive. They go to great lengths to work with relatives and residents to provide a personalised and extensive level of care. I feel assured that they are providing a great level of care to my husband now that he is in the last stage of Alzheimer's.

The staff here have coped amazingly well throughout Covid. The staff are caring and hardworking, including the activity staff who strive to keep residents happy and stimulated. I know 100% that my mum is happy and well cared for. The staff keep me up to date on anything relating to her medical care.

My husband has been well looked after for ten years by staff at Copper Beeches. The staff are caring and professional. The home has a friendly, family feel about it. It has been very challenging for the staff during the Covid virus, however, they have coped well. I cannot think of a better place for
my husband to be.

My mum has been here for a year now. It was a difficult decision to make but we are so pleased she came here and is looked after so well with dignity and kindness as she is suffering with dementia.

I have found Copper Beeches Care Home very pleasant to visit my friend. The staff are very welcoming and pleasant. My friend is quite mobile, but not able to look after herself safety, so for her, there is little stimulation. Activities are hard to encourage as most residents are in bed. They are trying
to introduce more activities which look quite promising. Since leaving the hospital, they have managed my friend's diabetes very well. This has been a problem in other nursing homes. So well done to them.

Whenever I visit Copper Beeches there is always someone about to say good morning and have a chat and ask how you are. They are a very friendly bunch, also the smells that come from the kitchen are lovely. It makes me want to stay for dinner!

I feel the care of residents is very well looked after. The staff are doing a good job, considering they seem short-staffed at times. Very polite and friendly.
The food is excellent but the only downside is the building needs a makeover eg windows and painting to brighten up the place as it can put
people off putting their relatives in there as I nearly did myself until I saw how fantastic the staff were.

My uncle sadly passed away at the end of January 2019. He was a resident at Copper Beeches for over 2 years. During his time there he was cared for in a wonderful manner. The staff showed compassion and ensured he was regularly changed and re-positioned in bed. They chatted to him whenever they provided
care. Even though he was bed bound there was always someone to spend time with him.


I thank the staff for all the care they provided.

My mother sadly passed away Friday 18th in the early hours and I felt had to write this review about all the wonderful, warm, sensitive, tender, loving and compassionate staff that my mother was privileged to meet and be cared for by.


She felt like she was one in a family rather than in with carers,

nurses, chef, cleaners and all that came into my mum's life, words do not seem anywhere near enough to express our gratitude to each and every one of them, not only did they care and and look after mum but my wife and I also felt we were in this unique family.


The staff at Copper Beeches are the most professional body of carers and our eyes it takes a very special person to do this job with ever-changing tasks.


My wife and I can never really thank them enough for their outstanding dedication and for making mum feel at home from home!


So to each and everyone we got to know, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts and wish you and all the very best for the future God bless and love to all.

My father spent his last 6 months at Copper Beeches.
The staff were extremely kind, considerate and caring even though my father did have challenging behaviour.
His care plan was always available and up to date.

My mother was admitted to Copper Beeches in March 2015 on hospital advice, having lived in a sheltered accommodation in London for some 17 years previous. I was more than pleased on viewing Copper Beeches to let my mother take up residency there. One of the reasons being that I lived in Rochester and
it was easier access for me visiting. Also, they dealt with her needs and helped her to participate in the activities in the home, which is what she needed as there was no involvement in anything where she lived previously, so she was becoming vegetated, which was very worrying. I've always admired the way the staff dealt with my Mum as she could be very awkward at times. But they always got on with the job and dealt with it in a professional manner keeping me informed at all times. I would definitely recommend this home on the grounds that I have pointed out. I cannot fault the management and staff at this home they are a good team and work very hard to keep their standards high.
