Welcome to Grace Manor Care Centre in Gillingham, Kent. Situated on stunning grounds, the classic Manor property offers 24-hour care for those over the age of 55. They are blessed with a long-serving team of nursing and support staff that provide high-quality, person-centred care within a homely environment. They offer long-term, respite and post-operative care and particularly cater for those living with Dementia.

The well-kept care centre comprises 57 bedrooms, 12 of which make up the Dementia unit. A portion of the bedrooms is equipped with an en-suite W.C. and a hand basin. They encourage residents to furnish their new surroundings with familiar pieces of furniture and personal possessions to make them feel truly at home. While the bedrooms provide a tranquil area to rest and relax, the home's cosy sitting rooms and dining room offers residents the opportunity to catch up with friends over a pot of tea, enjoy one of the guest entertainers or simply recline in front of their favourite films.

At Grace Manor, they encourage residents to take part in a range of engaging activities based on their lifestyle needs and preferences. Many of the activities take place within the home environment and include art, handicrafts, visiting entertainers, quiz nights as well as garden parties and summer barbecues. The team empowers individuals to enjoy those everyday routines they cherish, whether that’s having a salon blow-dry and manicure or keeping up to date with their favourite sports. All are encouraged and available. Residents enjoy shopping days as well as seasonal trips to the seaside.

Visited my brother, care staff looking after him are excellent, really friendly and caring. I feel secure knowing my brother is being taken care of so well. A big thank you to all the staff. My brother is treated very well and is happy.

My husband is looked after wonderfully, nothing is too much trouble. The carers are so kind and always so happy. Knowing my husband is happy in the home, in so sad circumstances, I love home so much. I go in every day and all the staff are so kind to me and I thank everybody.

My aunt's room always appears clean and well looked after. The staff are great with her, she can be difficult when she doesn't want to do something but they handle those situations well. The staff are friendly and always have a smile for my aunt and her visitors. Every staff member is polite and courteous
and will listen and answer any questions asked. The manager is always available if needed and friendly, she will always make time in her busy schedule for questions. I would recommend this care home to others.

My father-in-law has been at Grace Manor Care Centre since last summer. He is very happy at Grace Manor. I visit on average once a week with my wife and mother-in-law. I am very happy with the care that my father-in-law receives, it doesn't matter when we visit he is always dressed smartly and looks
well looked after. I find the staff are very attentive to detail and are always there to help with any question we might have. In general, I find the carers at Grace Manor to be always helpful, caring and very sensitive towards not just my father-in-law but all the residents that we come into contact with on our visits. What I also like about Grace Manor is the activities they do on a daily basis with the residents to keep them active in the best way possible.

Staff have been sensitive, kind and caring, not only to my father, who is a resident, but also to me and my mother who also suffers from dementia and found adjusting to Dad not being at home difficult. The staff are friendly and caring.

My nan was at Grace Manor Care Centre for the remaining months that she was with us and I couldn't thank Grace Manor enough for all the support and care they gave to my nan in her last few months. My nan loved all the staff very much, which is warming to know when you were not able to see her as much
due to Covid.
I can't thank the team leaders there enough for all the care they gave to my nan as they went above and beyond and I'm so grateful for them, my nan loved them both very much as she used to always talk about them all the time.
I can't fault anything about this nursing home, it has got amazing staff and it's a great home for your loved ones to be in as it's just like one big family and they treat your family members as their own.
On my nan's last day with us the staff couldn't do enough for us and was by our side every step of the way even through the most complicated part that we had to face, they made it very comfortable and reassuring throughout.

My mother had been at Grace Manor for approximately 2 years, during which there had been a pandemic, which the staff managed with great care for all concerned.
Nothing ever seemed to be too much trouble. The food is always good with plenty of choices, entertainment and activities for everyone are
first class and family involvement welcomed.
Every member of the team at Grace Manor has great empathy with the residents in their care.
Sadly, my mother is no longer with us, however, the palliative care was second to none, always treated with dignity and kindness. I would recommend this to anyone requiring a safe and sound nursing home.

My father was admitted to Grace Manor Care Centre in June 2022 following a hospital admission. The love and care given to him by the staff was exceptional. And that carried through to my mum, my sisters and me right through to the end when he passed away. Every member of staff we dealt with were loving
and caring and superb in their role. I cannot recommend Grace Manor more highly if I tried.

I have been here since April. At first, I was very wary, but I was soon put at ease. I am getting used to the routine. I find most of the carers very helpful. I feel when the weather is warm, the service users should be encouraged to sit outside and get some vitamin D, which is stored in the body from
the sun or given vitamin D tablets. I feel there is a lack of facilities regarding hairdressers and chiropodists.

During this difficult time, the staff have been amazing. Our mum has been well cared for and given all the love and care she needs. She loves doing the activities but is not able to do what she used to do. It is great that they are able to go on days out now, our mum really enjoys that. Our mum's needs
are considered carefully in all aspects, and the staff are very good and considerate with her. She is encouraged to eat and drink when she doesn't perhaps feel like it.

All staff devoted brilliant, all services, care, food, different activities. 100% recommend.
Great surroundings, gardens there is a tranquil place you can sit and pray, which I did every day when the sun was shining.

My mum was admitted to Grace Manor from hospital where she had been receiving care for about 6 weeks. She received end-of-life care at Grace Manor for a 6 month period. The day-to-day staff were extremely kind and patient with her and the nursing staff were also very caring, taking time to inform me
of her situation. The nurses and management were very good at cutting through the inevitable bureaucracy surrounding my mum's stay and I felt she was very well cared for throughout her stay. The home is in a peaceful location, was always clean and well presented. Though my mum was somewhat unreachable to the family (because of her deteriorating mental state), she had a good rapport with the carers. We are all very grateful to them and all the staff at Grace Manor for their dedicated, cheerful and personalised attitude to their work.

Very patient staff when my husband was sometimes grumpy and difficult. The home always smelt clean and our visits were facilitated extremely well especially throughout the difficult and uncertain times of Covid and ever-changing restrictions. Measures to keep residents, staff and visitors safe were
put in place and followed at all times. The activity team greeted us at the door and carried out PPE duties like experts. The care staff were very thorough in their care and dignity of my husband. Management was always available and ready to listen to any concerns if there are any.

Mum's room is lovely and spacious. The home is clean and the staff are friendly and caring. The food is excellent, with something different on the menu every day. The care given to my mum is really heartwarming and the staff always take her needs into account, whilst preserving her dignity. I am pleased
my mum is being looked after so well here. Staff have bent over backwards to ensure we can still safely visit Mum in these trying times.

All my life I wanted to care for older adults and make a difference in their life. Becoming a home manager was the ultimate way to do so. However, being a home manager is so much more than looking after older adults and I realised that looking after your staff is paramount to delivering good quality care. Creating an open and honest culture with staff, recognising their achievements and actively engaging, supporting staff and valuing staff is paramount. If you have a happy and content staff team, you have happy residents. I believe a manager should be a great role model who is passionate, hands-on and motivated with a great sense of humour.


Grace Manor Care Centre is our older adult’s home, we are proud of our warm and welcoming environment, and we will always be here for a chat. It is important that both our older residents and their families are included and feel at home. It is always the highlight of my role to see these residents smiling and laughing again.
