The home has managed Covid-19 extremely well. We have been kept up to date and all the staff have coped really well. The skype calls were fantastic, my mum didn't really understand them but it was lovely to see her face. We have started visiting outside only which is lovely. I can phone anytime for
an update which is lovely.

I am very happy with my decision to have my mother at Middletown Grange and more importantly, so is she. The care staff are attentive and kind, whilst the management team are professional, considerate and are obviously guiding this ship in the right direction.
I don’t need to think about my mother
beyond just thinking about her; I’m confident that her domestic situation is as good as can be.

Middletown Grange accepted my mother for respite after she broke her ankle at the start of Coronavirus lockdown. The care that she has received, in very difficult circumstances, has been excellent. They have been very efficient in organising her visits to hospital for check-up and an additional operation,
and have looked after Mum very well in the post-operation phase. Although I have not been able to visit, it seems a loving and caring environment where Mum has been very happy.

The manager leads from the top, with a positive approach to the client and family, running the home efficiently and dealing with any queries with ease. The home is clean, bright and feels so homely, the staff are polite and cheerful always ready with a smile and friendly greeting, even when they are
really busy.
Mum is always clean, tidy and happy being at the home; she feels safe. During these difficult time's with the Corona Virus, the home gets my mother to video call us, which is great, we miss seeing her, this is the next best thing. We know my mother is kept safe and well, and she feels safe, and that is priceless for us.

The staff at Middletown Grange have been so accommodating during the coronavirus lockdown. They have always been willing to take phone calls and help me keep in touch with my mum. Even though I haven’t been able to visit I have felt confident that she is being well looked after and staff have informed
me of any issues.
The communication from the care home manager and the group during this crisis has been informative and detailed.
So glad we chose this care home for Mum.

We have the highest praise for all the team at Middletown Grange. Since our mum went to live there a few months ago everyone has shown endless patience and care to ensure she has settled in and feels at home. Our mum has dementia so we were very worried as to how she would accept her new environment
but because of the efforts and kindness of all the staff there we know she is in the right place, safe and extremely well cared for. Each resident is treated as an individual with their own specific likes/dislikes taken into account. The staff really take the time to get to know the residents. In these challenging times, the staff have kept us completely up to date and have sat with mum holding her hand and with an arm round her shoulder, made it possible for us to remain in contact via video call. We cannot praise all of the staff enough and feel very grateful indeed that our mum is in such a friendly and happy environment. Thank you everyone.

We would like to thank everyone at Middletown Grange for the wonderful care they are providing our relatives at this challenging time. The manager ensures that we are kept up to date with regular emails regarding the position of the home and the well being of our family members. Skype, Facetime, Whatsapp
calls and videos have been introduced for families to be able to see their loved ones and they have also introduced virtual entertainers for the residents. During April they celebrated the Easter weekend and then shortly after this there was a tea party in the beautiful garden to celebrate the Queens birthday.
The home also celebrated VE day with residents again having a celebration tea party in the garden reminiscing about what happened on VE day. All the staff really have worked incredibly hard to keep this virus at bay and we cannot thank you enough. Please stay safe everyone at Middletown, we miss you all very much and look forward to seeing you again soon.

I can not praise the manager and her staff enough for looking after my dad since he's been at Middletown. Especially since Covid 19 has been about. It is lovely to know that the care that dad has received has kept him nice and safe with NO symptoms. This is astonishing in the Care Home industry. Well

My father-in-law is well cared for, the staff are fantastic and look after all the residents with proper care. We love the way the staff treat the residents. The staff worked really hard on keeping the place running. Well done to the team and remember to stay safe.

There is a very high standard of care and support at the Middletown Grange nursing home. Mum is comfortable, safe and well cared for, with all her needs being met. The staff are very friendly, caring, patient, they also spend time and conversation with Mum. The food and drinks are plentiful and delicious.
Daily activities are well organised, stimulating and importantly lots of fun too. The manager has a ‘my door is always open’ policy which is so reassuring when we live some distance from the home. All in all, an exceptionally well-run care home.

I was made welcome from the start. My room was on the corner of the building and had windows on two sides, which enabled me to see the garden and also out onto the road. I elected to take my meals in the small dining room, which meant that I got to know the other users and the staff quite quickly and
I found it surprising that a number of the residents chose to have all meals in their room. The entertainments and outings were varied and enjoyable and the large lounge was the most pleasant place to sit.

This was my first experience of a care home and I would be happy to return here if I need care again. My two weeks of respite care here were comfortable and the staff were very caring and friendly. The manager and activities co-ordinator were marvellous.

My dear friend has been a resident here for quite some months now. Initially, she was very reluctant to come in but since her arrival, it really has become her home. The staff are so kind and friendly. She feels they are more like friends than staff and I can see why. Lovely home, fantastic staff.

Professional, knowledgeable and extremely caring staff across all levels. Staff show respect, compassion and offer dignity to all residents. Staff take great pride in their work and really look after the residents very well at all times. Food is fresh and homemade, offering a wide variety of appealing
dishes. Staff ensure each resident is accommodated in their individual needs, from a wide choice of food to help with feeding where needed. The team is lead by an excellent "hands-on" approach manager who is frequently seen interacting with staff and residents.
Overall a lovely caring, safe and secure environment that I can't fault for their care and attention to my mum's needs. We are always kept updated with any changes or general well-being needs and the staff are proactive at helping to make residents feel comfortable. Lots of interesting, varied and enjoyable activities on a daily basis including music, animal visits, flower arranging, crafts and stimulating activities.

I have designed extensions to exiting nursing and care homes and parents have used these homes. My visit to my see my auntie who has recently transferred to Middletown Grange was a pure delight. From the welcoming entrance staff and refreshment station for guests, (we had travelled 3.5 hours) through
to my Aunt's room, it was so bright and clean. I was subsequently given a tour of the facilities, and it rates very highly in my book.
During my visit, several staff members popped into my aunt's room and were all so friendly.
My cousin and her husband spend much time visiting, and it is clear to see how the staff integrate them in the care of my Auntie.
Such a good visit leaving my wife and myself happy to have visited.

As a qualified Nurse with over 35 years of experience working in the care sector, I've gained experience as a Clinical Lead, and Deputy Manager in various care settings. Caring for older people is a privilege, and it is my aim to maintain a happy home, vibrant and friendly in nature.

Hi, my name is Emma and I am a night care assistant here at Middletown Grange. I originally joined the home as part of the housekeeping team, but just love supporting and looking after our residents so wanted to step into a care role. I work as part of a care team working night shifts, ensuring our residents remain safe and cared for throughout the night so although you may not always see me, I'm always around to help at night.

Jo is our hairdresser at Middletown Grange and comes into the home every Wednesday to look after our residents. With a choice of options available to both men and women, Jo provides a fantastic service that everyone loves and looks forward to each week.
