The Cotswold Home have provided my mother with wonderful care for the last few months, ensuring she is comfortable and safe as she transitioned from independence to being cared for. She is now engaged in a wide range of social activities, is eating well and is very happy. She clearly has a great relationship
with the staff, who know her needs and preferences. Her medical and physical care is exemplary.

From the moment I went to teh home to check its suitability, I knew that it was going to meet all the needs required to look after my mother-in-law. The professionalism of the staff is amazing, from the receptionist staff to carers, nurses and management. I had full confidence that my loved one's needs
here were met 100%, which gave me peace of mind during the short time my mother-in-law was a resident.

First impression - pleasant decor, fresh and well-kept - clever likeness to Cotswold village. The staff are friendly and welcoming - everything is do-able. The dining room food is hot, well-cooked and tasty, variety impressive. The library is superb, especially for a keen reader. Many pleasant lounges,
some need to spend too much time in their own room. Although the weather is not warm enough to enjoy it, the garden looked very inviting and well-tended. A very useful small shop and hair salon - both visited. My only criticism, the shower room near my room (51) was frequently unusable due to an airlock. Otherwise, comfortable stay in pleasant circumstances.

Having had several poor experiences in another care home I was nervous about staying in this Elizabeth Finn Home. However, I did not need to be concerned as I was really well looked after and enjoyed my week's respite. The staff couldn’t have been more caring and attentive to my needs and were at pains
to ensure that I was included in activities.

Mum is so very happy at the Cotswold. Through this very difficult time, all the staff have treated her with dignity, superb care and support. Often short-staffed, the staff have shown dedication and a can do attitude. It is so reassuring, as her daughter, to know she is safe and happy. Since her arrival
at the home, her health and wellbeing have improved to the point where she is able to take short visits out. Thank you to everyone. You are all amazing.

I have seldom been to a place where one is fitted in seamlessly. The staff could not be more helpful and friendly and I felt at home at once. For the first time in almost three weeks, I could eat my fill of the excellent cooking and begin to enjoy eating again. I might achieve replacing the last stone
in weight. The place is quiet at night so that, for once, I slept.

My frail 90-year-old father's needs were not met by the home during his residence, e.g. no accessible drinks, often not shaved, not had creams properly applied. He is blind, deaf, diabetic and suffers other ailments, but is a gentle, quiet-spoken man who never raises his voice. The home failed to keep
his evening routine and when he became disoriented and distressed, they sent him to hospital instead of putting him to bed. The hospital found nothing wrong but the home refused to accept him out of the ambulance when he was returned. They never told him or me, they were ejecting him and he was found by my husband in A and E, who took him to our home.

Having stayed at the Cotswold Home three times now, twice recuperating after surgery, and recently for a 'holiday', I cannot speak too highly of the excellent nursing treatment and the care and respect all the staff show towards the residents. No request was too much trouble or met with indifference
resulting in a very happy atmosphere. The rooms are furnished to a high standard and several lounges provide welcome areas for visitors and residents alike, and the cuisine is second to none.

My husband was admitted to The Cotswold Home for end of life care, and from the moment he arrived, the care and attention he received 24-hours a day was outstanding. I am immensely grateful to the nurses, carers, domestic staff and the management team for creating a caring, compassionate, respectful,
calm and peaceful environment in which he spent his final days. To lose a loved one is tough, but my abiding memory will be the kindness, compassion, care shown to both of us from everyone at The Cotswold Home.

I was very pleased with the care my sister received, particularly from the staff from the manager across the board. The appearance of the place, the catering, the cleaning and maintenance are all first class. You definitely get what you pay for.
It gave me comfort to know that my sister was in good

If you can take rich food you must pick and choose. There is plenty of choices, especially with fresh fruit and veg - a good variety. Do not be deceived by some of the high faluting titles on the menu, especially if you have eaten the real thing - plenty of menu choices. The nursing staff when overstretched
do not always say appropriate things and can upset this resident. All know their jobs, which are performed efficiently and one has real confidence in them. No one is forced to do anything.

I arrived here after breaking my hip very badly. I had the operation (very well) I am sure, and arrived here a week later on 13/01/2021 for rehab. I was met with smiles and care beyond all expectations. I was given a bed bath on arrival and another one the next day. Physio regularly, and all aids necessary
and help provided as I progressed through the day and night. The atmosphere here is very friendly, professional and encouraging. The dining room beautiful, and the food excellent with a very good healthy choice and very well served. The surroundings are quiet, and the garden well kept.

My mother has been in The Cotswold Home for over seven years, and during that time, she has received excellent care. During the last year in the Covid19 pandemic, when visiting has been so restricted, the home has been very accommodating to my mother's needs. My mother has been bed-bound for the last
eighteen months, so during periods of lockdown, it has been difficult to visit. The staff have been very helpful at all times in giving me updates on her condition.

My aunt has been in The Cotswold Home since August 2019.
She chose to go there as it has an excellent local reputation, and I was greatly reassured by the then manager's assertion that "we always look after our local ladies"
From the start of my aunt's residency, and throughout the very difficult
recent pandemic, I have always found the home staff to be particularly approachable and accommodating, and that the environment is safe and nurturing for anyone at that stage of life.
There is always a twinge of guilt one feels when your loved one goes into a home, but in the case of The Cotswold Home, I know she is far better looked after there than I or any other members of my family could ever possibly provide.
The dignity and kindness afforded her is what I expect and what she deserves, and I would have not hesitation in recommending this establishment to others considering it for a family member.

Having had an aortic valve replacement surgery in hospital, I spent one week here at The Cotswold Home to help me to recover before returning home to my husband, who needs support. Mum and dad came to this care home after a very unhappy experience in another in Kent. Thank goodness the homes are incomparable - the food, staff, care have been wonderful and despite difficult personal circumstances they settled in well. The manager and carers have been really well organised during
the lockdown and have managed to keep us well informed and to facilitate FaceTime when possible. Sadly, mum passed away in June 2020 after a short illness. Mum was treated with the utmost compassion, dignity and respect and Dad received extra attention and time and kindness during this difficult period. We, as a family, also received wonderful support and kindness and visits we’re facilitated in accordance with guidelines and despite restrictions to enable us to be at Mum's bedside during her last days. I have utter respect for the manager, and her team and am confident that Dad will continue to receive the support and care he needs, especially in these difficult weeks after mum’s passing.

The Cotswold Home is exceptional in every way. The way they have dealt with the pandemic is testament to the professionalism and dedication of the entire team. However, beyond the Covid crisis life goes on in care homes and in this one my parents have been well very cared for, very well fed and in truth
loved. The move to the Cotswold Home was from another home and the differences were stark. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Job Title: General Manager

Jessica has worked for Elizabeth Finn for 11 years, during this time she also trained in the NHS and is a qualified Mental Health nurse. Her extensive experience of working with learning disabilities and severe mental health illnesses has meant she brings her calming therapeutic relationship skills to her passion for elderly care.


Jessica gets her job satisfaction from encouraging freedom of choice and delivering and promoting person-centred care.
