My grandmother moved to Freeland House in August 2021, the care she received was outstanding. Myself and the family were so grateful to the kind and caring staff at Freeland House who looked after my grandmother. Unfortunately her time there was short as she passed away in October 2021. As a family,
we would like to thank all members of staff and management for their support and compassion shown towards my grandmother and to us throughout her time at Freeland House.

I write on my behalf and that of my sister. We were both impressed with the level of care that our late father received during the eight months he spent with you before his death. It was a melancholy time for us both, made less so by the cheerfulness of the staff and the knowledge that he was being
so kindly and sympathetically looked after by the care team. We very much appreciated the flexibility that the management team showed, within the covid restrictions, in enabling our regular face to face contact with our father. He genuinely seemed very content in those last few months and the time we were able to spend with him was very precious. Enabling him to meet his latest great-grandson was particularly cherished by us and by his granddaughter. The terminal care he received was kind and loving, yet professional for which we are especially grateful.

The staff have made all efforts to make my father-in-law comfortable and safe. The attitude of the staff is excellent, caring and always willing. I would recommend Freeland to anyone needing good care and attention for their loved ones.

My mum-in-law has just moved to Freeland House. She is now in need of 24-hour care. Alongside my husband, we visited the home, and from the outset, the quality and positive nature of the staff/client relationship was obviously excellent. The deputy manager knew the client's names and was very open about
this home and its goals. She has just transitioned to Freeland House and always we've had positive exchanges about our relatives well being. Every effort has been made to make her comfortable, and she has received the care she obviously needs. Superb start from everyone!

I am always made to feel welcome when visiting my mother and nothing is too much trouble.
My mother is well looked after and treated with care and respect. I am given regular updates on her health and any concerns are discussed.
I would like to thank the home for their hard work and in particular
for tackling the pandemic.

Since my husband moved into the home it was a difficult time during the pandemic because no visitors were allowed. The carers and nurses have kept myself and my daughter informed of my husband's needs, medical and physical, which we are thankful for knowing he is so well looked after. I phone on a daily
basis and nothing is too much trouble and they make me feel welcome when I visit as this is the first time we have been separated in 57 years. Knowing that my husband is in Freeland House gives me great peace of mind.

Friendly, helpful caring staff. My mother is settled and very happy. Lots of activities and interests catered for. Lovely location with large well-tended gardens. Quiet yet convenient for Oxford and the surrounding area.

My mother has had a longer life expectancy at Freeland House than she would have had at her previous care home. The staff are helpful and considerate and although the premises and rooms are not ultra-modern they do seem suitable and in keeping with the age of the current residents. There is ongoing
investment in the new ing for specialist illness management.

The staff at Freeland have been fantastic during this Covid-19 situation and I mean ALL of them.

Freeland House has proved to be an excellent choice of care home for my wife who had been a resident for 18 months suffering from Parkinson's and Dementia. The staff are very caring and considerate to her needs at all times.

Thank you to the manager and all of her staff for looking after my husband over nearly three weeks before he sadly passed away. The care and compassion and dignity they afforded my husband was exemplary. I thank them for the boundless drinks of hot chocolate while I sat with my husband throughout his

Mum has been at Freeland since December 2015 and has had wonderful care ever since. In February this year she became very ill with the flu and a chest infection and I have been moved to write this review. I just want to thank the staff for all the love, kindness and support they have shown not only
mum but also me, through this difficult time. Thanks to the amazing care given she has recovered from her illness and is being kept comfortable while everyone tries to encourage her back to strength. Staff throughout the house go above and beyond to provide a high level of care and it is always provided with respect and a warm smile. I am full of admiration and so grateful for all the work they do and how well they work as one big team - thank you all.

Thank you for looking after mum for the last two months. All the staff have a very difficult job looking after residents with dementia depending on the severity of it. Unfortunately, mum had a fall and sadly died. The staff at Freeland are extremely good. The matron and her team work well together.
My overall view is this is a very good nursing home with caring staff.
