My grandmother is currently here for respite, for the second time.
The care she has received so far has been above and beyond. All her needs are always met, and nothing is ever too much trouble.
She enjoys the entertainment provided and always looks forward to forthcoming events.
We, as a family,
feel very happy that she is in such a lovely environment and that she is always very happy and content when we visit.

My stay with the care home is very nice. Everyone is very caring, clean and there is plenty of food. I am a short stay resident, although my stay is coming up to 6 weeks or more. Everyone makes you feel so welcome. I have to move shortly and I will miss everyone connected with Freeland House. My comments
refer to all staff, carers, cleaners and all people involved.

Overall we are pleased with the quality of mum's care. Activities for residents and social events for residents have been impressive. There have been occasions of staff shortages, which is not ideal when staff on duty have been under pressure to provide full care. Care charges are very expensive.

My mother has been in Freeland House about 16 months. She is bedridden so has to rely on staff more. Frequently we find her buzzer/bell is out of reach. Also when food is brought to her, she is not sitting up enough to eat it, as it is at eye level. The staff are always very kind but rushed, as so much
work for them to do. I do have concerns about the quality of the food, it's very poor 50% of the time. Much of it does not look home cooked and poor quality. More could be done to entertain people who are bedridden with dementia. If some of the entertainers visited individual rooms it would be stimulating.

As a company we actively seek feedback from our families and visitors, and any constructive criticism and feedback enables us to maintain and improve the services we provide. We operate on an “open door” policy and ensure any concerns raised, receive prompt attention.
Our chef is always happy to discuss any aspect of the food service and will on request provide individualised menus in addition to the choice offered.
The activity team offer one to one reminiscence and pamper sessions in rooms, and as of 10 August personalised entertainment sessions will also be on offer to clients in their rooms.
