Glebefields Care Home provides to its residents high-standard residential, nursing and respite care in an attractive location with far-reaching views of beautiful countryside. The home, a stone-built former rectory near the village of Banbury, fully refurbished in 2022 to luxury standards throughout, features standard and double bedrooms which are all en-suite. Although the home is in a rural setting, residents benefit from easy access to shops, restaurants and public transport links.

Staff are always on hand to support residents and are dedicated to continually enhance residents' quality of life. They go above and beyond to understand residents' needs and wishes to provide the best service possible. Each day is planned as per the choices of the residents and their interests and what they prefer to do on a daily basis.

Meals are cooked inhouse with great care to residents' dietary needs. The tasty menu is varied so residents can try something new every day.

During my visit to the care home which is situated in a beautiful countryside location, the staff treated residents with dignity and their choices were respected. We could see residents being engaged in outdoor activities. The kitchen team was pleasant and very kindly offered us refreshments. It's
only a few weeks that my friend had been staying there and we could see the improvement in his health and well being. The home was very clean and well presented. The rooms are very spacious and have access to the garden outside. Overall the home had a very positive environment.

This care home does not deserve to still be open. Gone downhill so quickly within the matter of a year. I was seriously worried and concerned with how my grandma was treated and I honestly believe she would not still be with us if she was still there. They showed no respect or dignity and used her dementia
to their advantage, giving her no choices, shoving her in a room all day and feeding her food she doesn’t like because ‘she won't realise’. As a granddaughter, I even had a member of staff moaning about my grandma which was extremely upsetting and demonstrated their lack of care and respect. Seriously concerned about the residents still there. She has now improved massively since being away from Glebefield.

Shocking home! Treated my Grandma with no respect or dignity. The manager is extremely rude and disrespectful not only to the residents and relatives but also to the staff. Wouldn’t recommend this home to anybody.

Would not recommend this home as we as a family had many issues regarding the management of the home. Our mother was not cared for as we would have expected. We have moved mum to another care home and can see the difference in her within a short time. High turnover and retention of staff and poor communication.

The level of care was not as we would have expected as a family. Since moving mum to a new care home, we can appreciate the level of care she is now receiving. Mum is now thriving at her new home. Glebefields has a high turnover of staff. Poor food choice and quality.

My friend needed urgent care and nursing. She had stayed previously at Glebefields and they were very nice, so they were my first thought when she needed care again. She has been in for two weeks now and has finally settled. The staff have made everything so easy from the start and have always got time

My Mum moved into Glebefields on 20/03/2020 from hospital, just before lockdown. She was very distressed as we had not seen her the week before while she was in the hospital and her condition had deteriorated. We have seen her only twice due to coronavirus, and she was very distressed as she could not
understand why we could not give her a kiss and a hug, so we have not been able to visit. Mum has Alzheimer's/dementia and has been very agitated and has challenging behaviour for the staff to deal with. The wonderful staff have kept Mum safe and very well cared for. They are all so patient and understanding of her condition. Mum was 81 in July and a birthday cake was made for her with candles that she blew out and everyone sang happy birthday to her, she looked like she was having a lovely time. She was dancing to Abba one afternoon when I called and I could hear her laughing in the background! Glebefields care home staff are amazing, I do not know what we would have done without them.

I have worked as a nurse since 2008 in clinical practice and teaching nursing students. I am a hard-working person and enjoy the challenges of this profession. I am a person who learns and leads by experience. I believe in teamwork and I am dedicated to our residents and to providing the best-personalised care possible.


I enjoy working with the elderly and vulnerable to meet their needs based on individualised expectations. We as a team, aim to be transparent and like to be approachable.

I am very hardworking, learn and understand things quickly and get adapted to any situation.


I am very friendly and I love to meet new people. This would be the reason, I am here at Glebefields meeting new people and getting to know them. I joined Glebefields on 29th March 2021. In these 3 months, I have learnt so many things about caring and also how to keep our people happy. I am proud to say that I am a part of this wonderful team and I love working at Glebefields Care Home, Banbury.

My name is Cristina, and I am working as a senior care assistant at Glebefields Care Home. I'm coming from Romania, and my main qualification in my country is a master's degree in geography. I came to the UK in 2017, and I joined Barchester company in Chipping Norton. In 2019 I completed NVQ 2 and in 2021 I completed the NVQ3 Diploma in Adult Care.


In January 2022 I joined the Glebefields team, and since then, I enjoyed coming to work, in a positive environment. Using my knowledge and experience, besides my colleagues, we offer residents and visitors a great experience. I am happy when the residents are happy, and I feel good when I can make a difference in someone's day.
