Located in the heart of Carterton, near the scenic Cotswolds, MHA The Homestead offers a bright, modern environment where residents can truly thrive. Built in 2008, the spacious home provides residential and dementia care for up to 68 residents.

The gardens at The Homestead are a vibrant and therapeutic retreat, offering everything from raised vegetable beds to dementia-friendly pathways. Residents, along with local RAF veterans, helped raise funds for the Garden House, allowing the outdoor space to be enjoyed year-round.

With expert support for conditions ranging from early-stage dementia to advanced care, the team delivers compassionate, personalised care across three self-sufficient floors. Residents can enjoy dedicated dining areas, lounges, and social spaces, while engaging activities like music therapy, robotic pets, and interactive tables support those with dementia.

If all care homes were like this the world would be a much better place. Everything has been better than I could believe possible. The staff and management have, without exception, been friendly, caring and professional and have always gone the extra mile to do the best for my mother-in-law and her

I cannot express our thanks and gratefulness to each and every member of MHA The Homestead, Carterton. The most professional, caring, hardworking team who prioritise the health and happiness of every resident. Mum's carers treat her with respect and love and we are so lucky to have had Mum accepted
here as a resident. The team leaders and the general manager are always approachable, knowledgeable, welcoming and kind. The catering staff have been wonderful. The facility is always spotless, and the ambience is magical. Thank you to everyone at The Homestead.

I moved my brother 3 years ago, it was the best thing I ever did. He has put on weight and can now hold a conversation. I cannot express how grateful I am for the care and attention that all the staff give. I'm always contacted if there is anything they are concerned about. We can visit at any time
and are allowed to take him out on days out. All the staff are friendly and very approachable. There is always something going on for the residents whether it be days out or other social events. I can definitely recommend this home.

The Homestead is an excellent care home, the staff are outstanding and it is spotless. It is run in a fantastic manner like a cruise ship. One staff member in particular has the skills to work at Buckingham Palace, it is so sparkling thank you, it gives me comfort to know it is so clean. All the staff
get a 5 star from me, they support both my parents and myself. The manager is alert and thorough, all his staff are switched on. The food is made freshly every day, it is nutritional. It is a happy place, all the staff are friendly l thank you so much for taking care of my beloved parents.

My mother is very happy at the Homestead and the staff are amazing. They go above and beyond. Recently my mother had her 90th birthday and the staff made sure she and the family had a wonderful day. She is well looked after and the communication between the Homestead and myself, her son, is excellent.

The Homestead is a wonderful place for my Father to live out his last few years. They are caring, and respectful and work so hard to keep him stimulated by laying on all sorts of activities. He is warm, well-fed fed, and well-looked after with regular visits from doctors and other medical support people.
A particular staff member is incredible and a great leader and I have never had a single issue in over 2 years. Keep up the good work guys.

Great care for all residents. You can speak to the staff easily about any concerns and they keep in touch to tell us about any issues with Dad. Excellent care. Very pleased with how Dad has settled into this care home because they interact with him so well that he's very happy too.

My Grandmas had a lovely festive and birthday period with one member of staff painting her nails and cutting her hair ready to look glam for Christmas. It's always a lovely warm welcome and they even did her a cake again for her birthday this year.

I always get a warm welcome whenever I come to visit my granny, she is always clean and happy when i see her. She always says how nice and helpful everyone that works there is to her. The whole time my husband has been in Homestead the experience has been wonderful. The staff are all so helpful, not only to him but to me and the family as well. His care could not be better really and they go out of their way to make his life the best it can be. Any difficulties that occur seem to
